39 vs 51 Auto Focus Points?

The only differences in the d600 and the d800 Nikon Cameras I care about are these. If these were the same (either low or high), I'd pick the d600 for the price tag.It's a 1, 000 dollar difference btwn the two (as of right now), otherwise.

To me… both sound amazing. I have the first d5100 that came with 9 Autofocus points. Not even the ones with 11 (that they all come with now). *rolls eyes*, so 39 seems amazing and 51 sounds overwhelming. I figure though… if I'm going to shell over over 2k for a camera… and 51 points is WAY better… I'll dish out the dough for it later. I'd be happy with either: P

Will a 52mm Filter fit into my Nikon D5100 18-55mm lens?

Hello guys ..
I have just got the Nikon D5100 with 18-55 Lens so I'm new to this stuff, I'm planning to get some filters for my camera soon, I've saw some filters which says that this filter is compatible with any 52mm size Lens Filter thread, and I really don't know if this filter will fit into my camera or not .. could you help me ??

Suggest me a decent Tele-zoom lens and a wide-zoom lens?

I'm purchasing Nikon D5100, and will be needing a tele-zoom and a wide-zoom lens.So please help me which are best lenses to buy at affordable price.

Please provide me guidance as to what is the difference between the two types.

13 years old, aspiring photographer. I usually take pictures with my Nikon and filter it with Instagram… I know that I'm nowhere near professional level (and that Instagram isn't exactly known as an app for pros) but I'd love to hear feedback and critique so that I can improve :)
Added (1). @Angela: Thank you for the feedback! You're right about my needing actual filters. I'm not entirely sure how or what program to use, however, but I'll try not to rely on Instagram so much :)

Broken camera sensor?

I have a nikon d5100 and chances are the sensor is broken because all my camera can produce is black images yet it works perfectly fine (can autofocus/ adjust settings perfectly)… but to me at least there is not visible damage inside or outside of my camera

and if it is would it be covered under the warranty or would it be cheaper to just buy a new camera over the repairs if it is severely damaged?
Added (1). The live view also shows up black but the screen works, so its like the camera just registers black, its not that i dont know how to adust the settings. …

I'm looking for a digital camera with quick shutter speed?

I'm wanting to spend about $200 and under. I dont really care about certain brands either. Megapixels arent that important but I would like a decent zoom, at least 5x zoom. I bought the Nikon S3100 almost a year ago, and it's just a horrible camera.It lagged like no other and the pictures were just a mess.

My biggest concern is the time that it takes to go from one pic to the other and a decent price. Thanks for all your suggestions! I'm looking forward to purchasing a camera within a few weeks!

SD card works on camera, but not computer?

I have an SDHC Card, and I use it with my Nikon camera almost every day, and every day I put my SD card into my HP Pavilion laptop and it works, and I store the pictures in different folders on my computer. Recently, I have to push the SD Card in pretty hard until it reads, but today, no matter how hard I try, it won't work. I also tried the SD card in my brother's laptop, and it wouldn't read.So the card won't work in two laptops, but it still reads perfectly fine on my camera. I don't have the USB for the camera.
