Which should I choose?

I'm debating over getting a Nikon D3100 or Nikon D5100.
Both have similar functions although the 5100 has a higher resolution and the 3100 shoots video, even though this doesn't matter. What is your opinion on which you would choose and why?

I have a flash that works for my d3100 but not my d2h and the d2h was released in I think 2003 so what good speedlight flash's are good for the Nikon d2h

Mid range dslr setup for video?

Hi, I'm looking to get a new dslr setup more geared towards shooting video.

Previously I used a canon t3i with the standard lense that it normally comes with.

More recently I've been using a Nikon d3100 with the standard lense as well

I don't own either of these and I'm ready to purchase something myself. Like I said i am focusing more on video. Should I go nikon or canon? What has better lenses? Better body? Better for video?

One thing I definitely want is the external mic port. That's why I'm shooting more towards canon.
I would rather at this point spend more on the body if that means if it will last a long time and then get better lenses as I go.

I'd say my budget for the body is about 1000-1500 but I'd be willing to go farther if there's a huge difference in quality

I've done a lot of research there's just so much I can't wrap my brain around it.

I want to get a D5100 and was wondering if it has a time so if I take a picture I can get I place and then it takes a picture. And if it can, please tell me how. Thanks everyone !

Best digital camera for quality images, low light performance and speed?

I'm a beginner so I don't know if I want a DSLR or not.

I need a camera that:
- takes good pictures in low light
- very fast shutter speed (like a DSLR)
- good quality images (like a DSLR)
- pretty good video frame rate for recording sports in low light

Every time someone recommends me an ILC camera, after I obtain it, I begin to see too many cons.
I pretty much want a point-and-shoot that's much like a DSLR except I don't need an optical viewfinder, interchangeable lens, and all the manual stuff.

I know Nikon advertises low light cameras but what's the trade off?
Should I just get a DSLR?
