First DSLR camera.need to decide between 2?

Ok so im looking to buy my first DSLR camera.i really like to take video and make films and short films.im a beginnnerish and i need help deciding if you could give your input that would be great.
im looking at either the
NIKON D3100
or the CANON REBEL T2i???
any suggestions

I love taking pictures for memories and things like that, however I have been doing all my picures on my really crappy phone and I need an upgrade.i'm trying to find a good digial SLR camera that isn' too complicated for a beginner. I'm open to other brands, but these I'm comfortable with because they are good.

I like to take pictures but im also very into film making and making videos.would the Nikon D5000 be a good camera for video and stuff? im like a beginner? and if its not can you suggest any good cameras?

Beats by dr dre or or a professional camera?

I have a choice of getting solo beats or nikon D 3100 pro camera. They are both expensive even if they go on sale for black friday but i want to know which one if worth the money. I dont want to buy beats and then have them break after a few months. I am a casual camera user i dont do it for a class at school or anything just for fun. Which one should i get?

Is the Nikon 1 J2 Camera a good fit?

I'm looking to get a new digital camera but am not sure if the Nikon 1 J2 will be a good fit. I want to be able to have the manual control that I see in DSLR's but am not sure if the J2 is similar or the same in the sense that I can manually control as much as I could If I just got a DSLR.

I'm interested in portraits, micro shots, landscapes, wildlife. Also not sure about filters, can I use them with the J2?

Why are people so against teens with cameras? - 1

Instagram.
That's where it mostly blew up.
But im just wondering why people are so uppity about them taking picture with a Nikon or whatever. Like if they want to experiment with a hobby of photography, who's to judge? Maybe they feel better when they post their pictures to instagram with a clever caption and get 'likes' it's just whatever. What's with all the hate?

I am going to Alaska and I have a Nikon 5000 and I found a place where it says that wan person took his camera and it freeze.

High mega pixels = worst noise performance?

So I was looking up some information, and I was reading up on the Nikon D800's 36 MP. And it was said on this video that one of the bad things about having so many MP is that noise performance suffers… is this true?
