Looking for an entry-level DSLR camera?

I'm buying my first dslr (i've had regular digital cameras in the past, all were canon). i need a little help finding a good one.you should know:
it would be used for mostly posed pictures of people and nature, extensive yet simple focus options would be nice.also some candids/action shots.a little bit of everything, really .. also, it must have video recording, and be under $600.although ive been with canon my whole life, i'd be willing to switch, but ONLY to nikon.which company is better (especially in terms of customer service??? canon wasnt fantastic in that area.overall, any suggestions would be great.

Camera help? Uv filters?

I have a pentax ME film camera with two diff lenses and many uv filters for the lens.So can my lens for the pentax ME fit on my Nikon J1 camera? Or can the filters fit on my camera lens? I know this may be dumb but I'm just hoping yes :( lenses are expensive and so are filters. Haha

So I have an old camera pentax ME (film) I have lenses for it and the I have like the glare lens or the skyline lense to go on top of that a couple others too. Could I put that on my nikon j1 camera lens or even the 5o mm lens?

I'm trying to figure out which is the best of the two so would you please compare and contrast the Canon EOS 70D and the Nikon D3200? Are there any pros and cons that I should be aware of?

I need a new lens for my DSLR?

So I want to make Videos using my DSLR I need something hands on quick to use for both manual and automatic usage. I have a Nikon D5100 I was thinking of going for sigma lenses but I have no idea which one to use, most of my lenses are manual and its about time to invest in something different.any recommendations?

Best photo lens to use shooting indoor photos?

I have a Nikon D3000 and am looking for the best lens to use shooting indoor sports and low level game lighting. I have a 55-300 mm lens now and it's not getting the job done. Any help would be appreciated.
Added (1). When I say isn't getting the job done, I mean that the photos are dark and grainy. But that's because of the apature setting on the camera is my guess.
