Dies this sound right?

I bought a supposedly new Nikon d700 on ebay, well when I got the camera it didn't seem new, usually when you first turn on a new one it has you set it up, time zones etc. This one didn't

Plus, after doing an online shutter count it had 2,386 actuations.

The seller has a very high feedback rating

Does it sound like I got robbed?

Should I demand either a replacement or partial refund?

Nikon super cheap wide angle?

I'm building a drone which can hold a DSLR + a lens. I currently can use my Samyang 8mm, but I would like a cheap, LIGHT, alternative wide angle rectilinear lens. My best option at the moment is a used 18-55 kit lens, but I'm wondering if there are any other cheaper wide angles out there for a Nikon APS-C sensor.

Nikon D7100 continuous shooting?

I want to do a timelapse of the night sky. So I put my D7100 out there with settings:
30 seconds, f1.8, 18mm, iso 400, continuous shooting.
I then attach my cable trigger, press the button down and lock it.
This works fine for 100 photos, but Nikon's D7100 has a 100 photo limit. My timelapse is only 4 seconds with 100 photos. How can I make it go for longer? I've tried the built in interval meter but it's buggy sometimes and locks up the camera.

How to take or edit quality photos such as these?

I follow some people on instagram who post the most amazing photos I've ever seen of their dogs.

HOW on earth do they edit or take them? Is it the lens? I have a 5ish year old Nikon d40. Is there anyway I can take such quality pictures? Thanks!

Maxim dl plugin for nikon d7000?

I have maxim dl pro 5 and i would like to use it with my nikon d7000 dslr but the menu in maxim only goes up to 5000
Added (1). The program only goes up to the d5000 model and you don't use arpeture in astro photogaphy

How do they edit or take such amazing photos? I have a Nikon d40… Would I able to take similar photos with the right lens/editing software? Photoshop? Is it difficult to learn to take such photos?

One for the digital photography people out there - Which camera would best suit my needs?

Basically I enjoy drawing and so I go to places like the zoo and wildlife parks etc, I have a compact digital camera and my phone but they aren't very good at taking pictures of animals that are at the back of their cages or in the distance and still have a level of detail I can draw.

So Id basically like my camera to be able to take good distance shots but also be good at general day to day photography as well.

As Ive said above drawing is my thing photography isn't but I'm prepared to learn so Id like a camera that is easy to use (pref with an "auto" mode) however Id also like it to have some manual controls so I can learn as I go. Having a viewfinder isn't too important to me, Id like to not spend more than say £250 if possible and I don't mind buying a camera second hand, also it would be nice if it had a good lens built in so I'm not having to carry a load of photography equipment around (I have a 20 month old and she already has more than enough for me to carry).

Ive looked and narrowed it down to these 3 models

Nikon L840 4/5
Canon Powershot SX520
Fuji FinePix S9200

Or is there one I'm missing?

Is the Nikon D750 a professional model?

I know the term professional is over used, but in terms of capability, performance, and build quality is the D750 considered a pro camera?
