How to set the sutter speed on my d90 Nikon camera?

I have a d90 nikon camera and I want to have a fast shutter speed. How do i set a fast shutter speed on my d90 nikon camera

Nikon 14-24 or Nikon 24-70 for landscape?

I am a enthusiast photographer with expectations to go pro in the future. I am tied on whether I should go for the 14-24 and it's notorious wide angle quality or should I go for the 24-70 which has a little bit of wide angle and portrait standard. I am looking to use either one for landscape. This will be my first zoom in years since I am a prime guy throughout my experience.

I was messing with some of the settings, and now the beeping sound is gone and it does not focus on anything.

I need to decide between these four cameras and I'm not very knowledgeable with technology so I need help, which one of these is best?

Is it worth converting RAW files to DNG?

I find it hard to believe that future Adobe programs are going to stop reading CR2 or (whatever the Nikon version is called) files. I mean, if they can convert them in the future, then they can read them in the future…

I hesitate to do it because it takes up more space and I see no real benefit

Why do you, or why don't you, convert your files?

I have a Nikon D5000 and I dropped it. Strangely enough, the only thing that was damaged was the shutter screeen (of all things to break). Upon further inspection of the camera, I noticed that the shutter curtain was warped.It no longer opens fully to capture an image. I really need to get my camera fixed. I live in Prince William County, Virginia, and I'm not sure where to take my camera to get it repaired. Any suggestions? Am I better off just buying an entirely new camera body, and just keeping my lenses? I'm open to suggestions. Thanks to all in advance!

I don't know how to work my photography camera?

I'm taking a photography class this year and a family friend let me use his Nikomat camera (lends is a NIKKOR-H) and once I put my film in, the lends is black and it won't take pictures. Any ideas on what the problem is.

Wedding Lens Kit for Nikon?

I have done some portrait and wedding photography work over the last couple years as a side job and am wondering what lenses I should invest in? I have two D300 bodies but am thinking in the future I will save up and upgrade to a full frame camera like the D600. Currently I have:

18-55 3.5-5.6 DX VR Nikkor
55-200 4-5.6 DX VR Nikkor
35 1.8 DX Nikkor
35-70 2.8 Nikkor
10-20 4-5.6 Sigma
SB 600
Hoya Macro FIlter (+4, +2, +1)

I am considering buying: 50mm 1.4 AF-D Nikkor and the 80-200 mm 2.8 ED AF-D Nikkor to complete my kit (I know the 70-200 VR II is probably better but I've read threads about how VR is good for still photography vs.action in low lighting and I'd be using this for weddings).

I've read lots of threads about which lenses are the best but thought I'd throw this out there before making a final decision. I am on a bit of a budget, but don't want to compromise quality.

Your suggestions and advice are appreciated!

Do all nikon lenses work with nikon cameras?

Hi, I just got a nikon d3100 with 18-55 lenses.My mom has an old nikon FE from around 1980 or so.Im wondering if they will work on my camera.It says e series on them.

Also wondering what type of lenses I should get to record video outdoors on golf.Im on a tight budget now but any suggestions would help.

Also wondering if anyone knows where I could get a good tripod for a low price.
