Does expensive photography equipment really make a difference?

I have a Nikon D3200 with a basic 55-200mm lens. I've looked at photographers with thousands of dollars of equipment and my photos look just as good? My question is, why is all that expensive equipment worth it? Or is it not? I'm looking to upgrade with either a new camera or lens and want to know if its worth it.

What kind of shutter release do I need for a 35mm film Nikon?

My girlfriend wants to take pictures from a distance and I was wondering where I could buy one for a film camera. I don't know where to find them or how they look like. I'm so lost I just want to get her something cool and surprise her since she wants one so badly.:)

I am looking a Dslr camera.to shoot some video stuff… Only video basically… But confused between Nikon d5200 and Sony alpha a58m. So please help which one would be better for videos. Some people say camcorder but dont wana buy a camcorder. So please suggest.

Well, I already have a Nikon d5100 but I really want a gopro hero4. Should I sell my nikon and buy the gopro or just stay with the nikon?

Between Canon t3i and Nikon d5200, which camera is best for making video/ documentary?

I'm willing to buy a dslr mainly on purpose of video making. Withing my budget i only have these choices. As i live in bangladesh most of the photographer video graper chose canon over nikon. But in the review and specification nikon d5200 camera have higher specification then t3i and it's newer also. So can you please give me an suggestion which will be best for me.
