Cheap lensbaby composer?

I have been looking for a lensbaby composer for under $150 but I can't find one. The lensbaby composer lens is the type of lens that really runs up my alley and I would like to try one out. I like the whole tilt shift lens idea, but dont want to spend hundreds or thousands on one.My camera is a Canon. I am also planning on switching to probably a Nikon or Pentax, I have an older canon and the screen has a small crack. I need the lensbaby composer to be cheap. Thx.

Good cameras for less than $150?

I'm planning on buying a new camera rather than the other stupid camera I currently have.
I only have $150 and I will probably get about $40 more in the next month but I don't want to pay more than 150.

I'm looking for a good camera, either like one of those good nikon cameras with the long lenses (but the not too expensive kind) or a good point and shoot camera, better than my old one.

That's basically all I'm looking for.

Nikon N65 problem. Help?

I'm pretty sure the camera was fine before I loaded the film but now there's a little "Err" on the screen. Did I load the film incorrectly or something?

Nikkor 35mm or 50mm on a D90?

I'm facing in a huge dilemma right now. I'm planning to buy my first prime lens, but I cannot decide which one I should choose, between:

AF-S Nikkor 35mm f1.8G DX and
AF-S Nikkor 50mm f1.8G

I'm using a Nikon D90, and I'm planning to do portraits but i want to slip in a bit of full body shots.

I felt safe with the 35mm as my first choice, but it seems that no one's selling it in the location where I'm buying from.So I was thinking maybe I'll go for 50mm, but I fear that it may be too tight depending on my setting since I'm using a crop sensor. And this confuses me.

When using 50mm on a DX, How far do I have to go make a full body shot fit? assuming the subject is, say, 5'5" - 6 ft tall? Does the 50mm become 85mm? I have a DX kit lens 18-105, so should I test it on 50mm or 85mm? I can't try the actual lens personally, because there are no dslr/lens stores in my location, and my uncle from UAE will be the one to buy it for me.

I accept other better recommendations, as long as its as affordable. Your help will be very much appreciated. And sorry if my english isn't perfect.

Nikon D70 Folder contains no images, but the card is full?

I desperately need help. I've been taking pictures for the past two weeks and have no problem with the card until now. This morning I was taking pictures of my little baby sister, had no problem looking at them at that point. Then I went to show my mom and got that error of "folder contains no images" not even 10 minutes later. I then tried to connect the camera (via usb) to my laptop to see if I could get them off there, I've had no problems doing this until this morning, and then I got the error of that the disk was not readable by my Mac. Can someone help me with this, I don't know what went wrong? I'm just so upset over this because it has some very important photos on it.

Help in using D600! Manual focus point?

Hi guys,
I'm just a new Nikon D600 user and not familiar with my first FX body. I would like to know if I can similarly do the focus selection on the D600 like that of the old Nikon D80.
The old Nikon D80 has the manual focus point selection wherein if you half-pressed the shutter button, the camera will make the image clear even if in Manual Focus Point Selection

Does the Nikon D600 has this kind of Manual Focus Point Selection wherein the camera can automatically detect the subject that make it clear
If there is such a setting how do I do it?

I have tried switching the M/A button on the lens and on the camera.

All it gives me is autofocus, AF-S, AF-C etc.
I tried different lenses Nikon G, D lens even 3rd party lens but nothing
When in Manual Point Focus Selection, I can select focus manually, obviously; but the camera does not have the ability to focus automatically when the shutter button is half pressed
On the Nikon D600, all I get is autofocus and it is not that reliable, unlike in using the old Nikon D80 manual focus point selection mode I can focus it wherever I want and it detects the subject making it clearer.

Nikon D40 Skate Shots?

I have been doing skate photography for about a month now and I want to know how I can get the best out of my camera. I have a 18-55 mm lens and a normal zoom lens. What softwares can I use to edit my video? [Cutting]?

I have just started a Youtube channel, and I am using my Nikon to record videos! I made a Christmas Haul video yesterday, and I have been trying to edit out some bloopers! I can't use Windows movie maker because you can only cut the beginning & end and I need to edit the parts during the middle of the video +. I cannot buy any softwares, but I am willing to download any softwares that are likely to be safe on my PC. I am looking for editors that could be like Macbarbie07's, ConnorFranta's, ect. I have tried ASV+ and Freemake, but neither of them seem to work out for me. I am not bad with laptops. I am only a Teenager [14] so it doesn't have to be too easy to use.As long as I can eventually get a hang of it, you think. If you have tried the software you are recomending to me, please note that and your expierence with it. I only need a software that can cut because I have the other softwares for effects, ect. But if the software you are suggesting to me had extra editing tools on it, that would be fine. The software that I find to work the best, and I use will get points as the top suggestion! Nikon D5100 upgrade to more advanced?

I got a Nikon D5100 camera about a year ago. I have quickly outgrown it. I usually do portrait photos, also some pet/nature ones here and there. Most of my portraits are "artsy" things you might see on tumblr if your pickin up what im puttin down. I want to upgrade my camera. What im looking for is good quality pictures, sturdy (just in case of accidents) and modes like macro close up (most have portrait modes) I don't want to spend over $1000 on just the body. Nikon One Touch Zoom70AF Keeps Blinking E?

I recently purchased the Nikon One Touch Zoom70AF. I've been trying to look everywhere for a manual on google in PDF format.No luck… So I just read the manual for the model after 70AF which i think is the 90AF. Whenever I put in film an close the back it just blinks "E" on the LCD panel which means film isnt correctly loaded… I've tried this for over an hour already still blinks E. Can anyone help me fix this so that the LCD panel read the number "1" which means it is correctly inserted.

How to make my SD stop making doubles?

I have a Nikon D3100 and my SD card is copying doubles in which when I upload them onto iPhoto there's a double of each. But when I view them on my camera there's just one of each.Is there a setting I pushed on my camera that made it do this? Or what should I do? Please and thank you!

Will my Nikon 50mm 1:1.8 lens from my old film SLR work on my Nikon D3200 DSLR?

I am fairly new to photography, being that I just got a Nikon D3200 for Christmas.

My parents just found their old SLR camera from back in the day, a Nikon N5005. On this N5005 is a 50mm 1:1.8 lens on it.It says Nikon AF Nikkor & Made in Japan.It also has a thing that says Tiffen on it, but I think it is a UV filter.

I'm scared to mount this lens onto my D3200, being that it is a new camera and would not want to break it through my stupidity.

Can I use this lens on my D3200?
Would I need to buy an adapter ring?

Does megapixels matter that much?

Hi, I moving over to France in September for a year, so I want to take loads of pictures and videos of the places I'll be visiting in France and also anywhere else around Europe. Which I will then be uploading on a blog and YouTube for my family and friends. Photography has become and hobby of mine that I love so I want my pictures to come out very well, I'm currently using my dad's 5 megapixels canon camera and I was wander if I would be better off get a higher megapixel camera I'm thinking of getting either Canon 400D or Nikon D80, or should I stick to dad's camera and get a some nice accessories e.g. better lens.

How to change the shutter speed on a nikon d5100?

When on sports mode, my camera used to take really cool action photos of people in mid air and things like that.i also liked it because it took lots of photos really quickly. Now for some reason all the photos i take on sports mode are really blurry and i can't figure out what i did wrong.all these pictures have been taken indoors so far. If the picture is focused on things close up, the shutter speed is really fast, but if it is taking a picture of something more than 5 feet away, the shutter speed is super slow. I have tried to figure this out by looking through the manual, but couldn't find any answers. Also, when i switch the view to on the screen, the shutter speed is super slow and is unfixable. Like instead of two clicks, there is only one click. Any help?

Is it possible to get an extra view screen that plugs into the side of a Nikon D3100?

I know with some cameras, the screen on the back flips out and around so you can see yourself if you are taking a photo/ filming a video of yourself.Is it possible to buy one that connects into my Nikon D3100? I would also really appreciate any links! Thanks <3

Nikon 50mm f/1.8 G on D5100 for indoor equine?

So i've been doing some research for a couple of hours on what lens is best for indoor equine.
Now my 55-200 f/4 well.yeah.that's no use!

Someone had quoted:
"I need f/1.8 for ISO 3200-6400 at 1/500 on my D5100. Indoor sports has to be the most expensive thing to photograph!"

The photo under neath of the horse indoor with poor light was fantastic, visible noise was there, but it didn't bother me the slightest.

***I don't want to be wasting my money on this lens if i do buy it, but as its "50mm" is it that only? so no zoom?***

There is the 85mm but that's not compatible with the d5100 :'(

***And would it shoot better videos too? or is that to do with the video quality (as some frames are completely blurred out then 1-2 frames are in focus***

I bought a nikon d3100 a few days ago with the afs nikor 18-55mm lens

I'm not sure if it did this before but now when i hold the shutter button to focus, it makes a little rattley click noise. Then when i release the shutter button, it does the same noise.

Any ideas?

Nikon D5100 bad sports photos INDOOR?

Recently got this camera (i have the kit lens and a 55-200, if that solves anything)
And i have a massive massive interest in horses, that's literally what the card will be full of, and i'm not impressed with any of the photos i've taken.
This is a fast moving sport/hobby in my mind so i cannot be standing around changing settings after every photo i've taken, i'll be missing the shots/

This is indoor, on sports mode (tried the pets mode, was worse) and the 'indoor' mode was laggy with a flash

It focuses perfectly on everything around it, but usually with a sports mode theres a moving focus green thing, which is usually there on other cameras

I tried changing the shutter speed to capture it quicker but the photo was pitch black.

This was with flash, because i got fustraited.

It may seem i have no idea what i'm on about but i'm new to this, and i just want to take some decent photos after paying SO much for it

Please dont just say "practice" because thats such a wide word meaning "turning the camera on and off properly"

What will give me the best image quality?

I'm going backpacking in Europe for a few weeks next summer and I plan to bring my dSLR, a zoom lens and a prime lens with me. Currently my best option would be to bring my Nikon D60 with my Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D and Nikkor 18-55mm VR lens. I want to know if buying the 16-85mm would make much of an improvement, and if so will it be worth it?
Also there is a great sale in town for a Nikon D7000 and the Nikkor 18-105mm VR lens for 1000$. Right now I'm debating making this purchase because I think a better lens will bring me a better image quality then purchasing a NEW body with the kit lens.

I'm also considering buying the Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G prime lens to bring with me instead of my 50mm prime. I believe the 35mm lens will be more handy indoors than the 50mm.

Anyway I just want your thoughts on that subject.

Nikon D3000 features help?

So my mom recently bought me the Nikon d300. Now I love photography but this is my first real "big time" camera since I'm 15 and irresponsible. I have a 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm as well. I was trying to take a picture of rain drops on a window but when I use both lens (on all modes) it just focuses and skips right past the drops and onto the big picture like the tree behind it and stuff. Or another thing if I get real close, it just looks like bubble wrap or something. How do I get it to focus on the raindrops. Like is there certain settings to put it on and stuff? I'm a complete novice at this stuff.

Requirements for a film camera (eg 35mm)?

So. I'm interested in buying a film camera but I'm really new to photography etc so I'm not sure what to look for in a film camera. Mum tells me the best ones are Nikon, Canon and I believe Olympus. She's done some courses on photography but she doesn't remember much about cameras so I'm referring for help here. First of all, what do they mean by 35mm, 50mm etc? Also, apart from the camera, what else is required? I'm in UK so I'm wondering what would be the average pricing to have your photos developed at a shop? I was trying to take some pics in a darker room but the flash did not work in auto mode or any of the manual modes, unless the room was a bit brigther! just the opposite! HOW DO I FIX THAT? i was just about the only one that had a problem everybody elses cameras were flashing away.i felt like a fool with my "better than yours camera" that did not performed well in dim Light, it did take the pics without flash but people had to be very still.i mean its a great camera that needs no flash to take great pics in dark areas but i needed the flash! dammed it! My external flash on my Nikon wont fire?

I am using a Nikon D5000, and i just purchased a Zeikos SB-700 external flash. I read the manual and the only instructions it gave me were "when the Ready Light lights up, the flash is ready to fire. Pressing the Test Button will test fire the unit. 1) there is no test button. 2) why aren't there instructions on how to make the flash fire when shooting.

First lens purchase for Nikon D5100?

I am new to photography, and I was wondering what lens I should purchase first, considering that I already have the kit 18-55mm.

I want a relatively high quality, versatile lens that can be used in a variety of situations including travel photography. Preferably, I would like something with a longer focal length than my 18-55mm. I see myself mostly shooting landscape, wildlife, etc.does not have to be Nikkor, and I am willing to look at sigma, tamron, etc.

Price range is $250 or less (will definitely consider used lenses also).

Where can I get a cheap Laptop?

Okay..so. I know Christmas JUST came and I should've asked for a laptop, but I already got some pretty awesome (and expensive) things, so asking for a Laptop would be a little… spoil-ish.So, I decided, that im going to save money for a Laptop.

WHY: This laptop IS NOT going to be for a All-Purpose use. I just need it to use my HD-PVR (High Definition Personal Video Recorder) and to put all my Camera pictures on. Because I just got a Nikon for christmas. I would use my desktop, but unfortunately, the wires that connect the PVR to the computer are too short, and my computer is on the other side of the room.sooo yeah. I want a laptop because its portable. And it would be of great use to me.

But, I'm under 18 ( i dont feel like giving out my age lol ) and i have been saving money. And i decided to spend it towards a laptop. But i only have about $350.So I need something that is sorta cheap. And will stay cheap. Because I dont plan on buying it for a while. I know $350 isnt going to buy me a good laptop. But like i said, I dont plan on buying for a while so Im going to save up a little more. I cant buy anything over $600. That'll take too long.

Nikon d3200 camera battery problem?

I have a brand new nikon d3200

I charged the battery for 1hour 30 like it said in the manual

after around 70 (if that) shots without flash 50% through viewfinder 50% through live view
the camera battery is dead? I fully charged it again yesterday morning took around 50 shots today through the viewfinder turning it off each time and now again the battery sign is flashing low?

I originally had a sony a500 dslr and the battery would last for a LOT longer I know this is a better camera but at this rate I'll need to carry quite a few spare batteries with me

does this sound like a faulty battery or is this sadly normal for the nikon d3200 ?

What is the proper setup for hooking up mics and instruments to a camera?

I'm new to music tech, so pardon my excessive lack of terminology and "theory". But I believe I have a basic idea of how it may work. What I'm trying to do is plug audio recording devices to my camera(Nikon d5100) for helping a friend record her covers, for she is an aspiring musician. Now the jack on my camera is a standard 3.5mm female.So I need a microphone with a 3.5mm male.
Also, could I hook up a mic and an instrument into a double 3.5mm female hub with a single male(does that make sense?). Would that record correctly?

Now my friend says her mic can plug into her guitar(an acoustic/electric). She doesn't know if it'll channel her mic to the amplifier.Is that how that works?

My New Year's party idea?

Okay so I am a teen and I am having the New Year's party at my house this year and I wanted to know what you guys think of my ideas.So first I was thinking about having a photo booth type thing set up with my Nikon and then by that I would have props like hats and mustaches and stuff.To add to the picture taking part I will have little Kodak disposable camera's lying around so people can take pics and afterwords I will print them and give everyone a pic in a mason jar. I have a great long room for a dancing area so I was thinking about hanging whit xmas light from the ceiling and then having mason jars with tea candles in that area.At midnight we will have sparklers and then set off big sky lanterns. What do you guys think so far? I have food and stuff already planned :) Let me know if you guys have any other ideas!

How to keep my camera safe when snow is falling?

I shoot with a Nikon D5100 with a 18-55mm lens. I just got my camera about two weeks ago and took it outside to shoot in the snow for the first time today. I set it up on a tripod (I'm a self portrait artist) and wrapped a scarf around the camera body and lens. However, I was constantly worried about snow/water getting in or on the camera and damaging it. I ended up cutting the session short and going inside with inadequate photos and an unfinished shoot. Disappointing. :( Does anyone have any tips for shooting in snow or how I can stop worrying and just enjoy my shoot?
Added (1). Oh no no no, you misunderstand :) I don't do basic sit-and-smile portraits - I do conceptual work combined with manipulation. I enjoy shooting and editing, it is what I hope to pursue as a career.It is what I enjoy, and it is my form of expression. If I DID do basic portraits, then yes, I'd hire a professional. :)

Nikon D7000 low lighting wedding photography?

I am doing photography for a friends wedding.It is a very small ceremony in a small room. Nothing big or fancy.So the job doesn't come with high expectations, but I still want to make sure they come out good because I have high expectations of myself. Thing is I am not a complete pro with my camera.It is going to be low lights (candles and dimmed lights) and I am not sure how to still get quality pictures without having my flash go off. I want to be able to take multiple frames in a row so I don't miss anything, but because of the low lighting I can't get it to, or they come out blurry, or dark.
Would anyone be able to help me with maybe what settings I need, how to practice at home, any tips, etc.

Canon camera types similar to canon t3i?

Hi, so I am no photographer really but i'm just getting into it, i don't know what much of the terms mean, but i'm learning. I'm looking to buy preferably a canon camera however i will do nikon if it better suits my question. I've been looking into the EOS Rebel t3i however i'm not really interested in paying 700 dollars for a camera just yet. What I'm looking for in a camera is pretty much quality and how bright the colours are and how sharp the image can get, i'm also looking for focus, a camera with a really good focus! I looking at the PowerShot SX50 HS just as a start, however I'm not sure how large the colour saturation is or how good it's focus is.So when i was looking for colour saturation i came across the Nikon L180! Your thoughts?

Nikon D3200 Shutter in Live View?

Hello,

So I just obtained a Nikon D3200 recently. I noticed when I take pictures in Live View it takes longer for the shutter to process then if I use the view finder. Does anyone know why or how to adjust the camera to fix this problem. Even in auto with the flash it takes significantly longer in the Live View mode. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Added (1). The only reason I asked was sometimes when I ask people to take a picture of me they do not know how to use the view finder and this would be easier similar to a point and shoot.

Is nikkor 70-200 vr good for low light?

Hi. I'm shooting now with Nikkor 85mm 1.4D and would like to know.is 70-200 vr I any good in places like dark churches or dim banquet halls? I mean. I go sometimes as low as 1/30th or more shutter speed with f/1.4-2.will I manage with aperture 2.8? I know that thousands of wedding pros shoot with this lens in just such conditions.but I'm not pro :)

Any incompatibilities using NTSC instead of PAL?

I am shooting a short film on my Nikon D5100. I can't afford another camera right now. I wanted to do one shot in slight slow motion, and I am in a PAL region.My camera can shoot 24 or 25fps in PAL, which would probably not look smooth with even a 5-10 fps reduction. The NTSC mode of my camera will let me shoot 30fps, which gives me a little more leeway to slow it down a bit. But are NTSC video files compatible with my editing program (Sony Movie Studio 12) if I have got it in Australia? Is there any difference in the way the files are processes or recorded other than the framerate?

I am shooting the rest of the film in 25p. This camera has no 60fps option for video and I can't afford another camera.

D5100 blur trouble with self-timer?

I was wondering if anyone had a possible explanation for this? I just got my Nikon 5100 and I am very pleased with it for the most part, but I'm been having some with self-timer…

The lens I am trying to shoot self-portraits with a Nikon 55-200mm. If I keep the the lens at 55mm and put the self-timer on (10 seconds), I run to the focus point during the count down, hold still for a few seconds, and on that setting it comes out crisp. Now, if I set the lens any amount over … anywhere from 70mm-135mm, the finishing shot in blurry if I attempt a self-portrait. If I do not run in front of the lens within the 10 seconds and just take it take a picture, it's perfectly clear. Odd huh? When I get in front of the camera, I keep still for at least 2 "beeps" before self-timer runs out and a picture is taken. Even keeping still within the last few seconds, the finishing shot is blurred.

(My camera sits on the counter so it is not moving in self-timer mode. Plus, my lens is VR (Vibration-Reduction)

Any insight on this?

Added (1). Auto-focus is on because I didn't disable it. I make sure I see my face within the square as the camera prepares for a shot.

I'm not sure about 'pre-setting' the auto-focus. That's definitely new to me. I'll see how to manipulate how it focuses more.

Which of these two lenses is better for the Nikon D3100?

I just recently got the Nikon D3100 and have the 18-55mm lens. The camera is great, i just am getting a lens for different events. I need to be able to take pictures from long distances, and sports. The 55-200 lens is more expensive, but has auto focus. The 70-300 is cheaper and more distant, but does not have an auto focus. This is my first DSLR camera but I am a fast learner. I just need advice. Which lens would be the best for taking sports and other distant pictures? I don't really know a lot about manual focusing, but I can learn.

What is a really great camera?

So this summer I had purchased a Nikon J1 camera.It comes with changeable lenses and it's pretty small so I can take it everywhere with me. However as soon as the battery drops below 100% even the TINIEST bitt, it won't properly focus and it's really frustrating because I paid quite a bit for it. Now I'd like to get a new camera instead that is still closer to professional than the little hand held cameras but not too complex… easy enough to figure out without needing a whole lesson just on how to operate it.
It needs to have great battery life as well as an auto focus option.

Any advice will help!

How to learn to use my camera better?

I've always loved art and photography and had a Panasonic DMC-FT2 for several years, just your standard tough camera.
I got given a Nikon D3100 a few months back and I really want to learn how to use it properly, and to teach myself about photography and composition and the like. I'm not using it much because I dont know how to really, I mean I can use it off automatic but then its just your standard photos that don't look anything special - at the moment my friends are just asking me to take photos of them at parties which is stupidly easy, as I just use it on auto to keep them happy. Are there are creative and fun ways to get to learn my way around my camera? Asides from reading the manual over and over, I mean to learn about aperture and ISO as hands-on as possible- the stuff that you dont worry about with a point and shoot. Can anyone suggest me a good camera?

Well, I'm getting a camera for my birthday and it has to be within the $100-250 range.
I need it to take crisp, vivid photos of me and my friends with good light exposure and effects.

Did I waste my money? (CAMERA)?

I bought a Nikon D5100 from Best Buy for about $550 so i can film sketches and other videos(not entirely for taking pictures). A couple days later i found out that It can only record up to 20 minutes in video, I was really pissed because i spent all my birthday money on this thing. I looked online and everything for different settings but i couldn't find any.So did i completely waste my money on this thing? Is there another setting on this camera that can let me record more? How to take a stuck SD card out of my camera?

Need a digital body for an SLR lens?

I'm not a photographer by any means, but I do know what I like when I take photos.

I have a Nikon F80 that I absolutely adore, the lens (AF Nikkor 28-80mm), is fantastic, and I always feel in control when using it. Sadly, my dad has refused to buy and develop any more film, but he says I can buy a camera for my birthday on January first.

My parents have a Nikon D90, and I loathe it.It's heavy and clunky and for some reason, whenever I use it, no matter what lens I use, it never lets me focus properly.It makes this whurr whurr noise and craps up the photo.

Anyway, I wanted some suggestions for a new digital body that would be compatible with the lens I already own. I've already tried jabbing my lens into the D90 without success.
Added (1). Okay, so it fits into the camera and is compatible, but if there's a smaller, lighter body that will also use my SLR lens, more suggestions are welcome.

I love taking pictures and hope to become a photographer and filmmaker when I am older. I've wanted a DSLR camera for about 4 months now and during a family Christmas dinner, my aunt let me try out her Sony a300. I loved it! I looked up reviews for it, but it got a lot of bad reviews dealing with something breaking. Initially I was torn between the Canon eos 1100d and nikon D3100.
1100D with kitlens 18-55mm £ 265 12.2mp
D3100 same kitlens for £300 14.2mp

Now i've seen Canon Eos 550D for £450 with kitlens of 18-55mm & a 75-300mm. This has 18mp better video quality too.

I know the first 2 are good for starters, but im more drawn to the 550d for the cheap price for the mp count and 75-300mm lense inclusion.

What are your views on any of these cameras

Nikon N6006 Shutter Button Issue?

I have never really had a film camera before and I was given it for my birthday because Inhabe picked up the passion for photography, but anyway I was playing around with it and as I was doing so the shutter realease button came out and no matter what I do I can't get it to stay back in its spot. I didn't break it at all. Can someone tell me if this is fixable?

Color shift to red with D600?

After 5 years with a D300, I just got a D600. There are many things to learn, but the color rendition has me baffled. I have very happy with my card-to-monitor-to-print colors with the D300 all along.

I admit that I am using a cheap LCD computer monitor, but it has worked out. I tried to calibrate the monitor with a Spyder3 - three times - and each time left my monitor incredibly blue. I went back factory defaults, which were working fine.

I have only shot about 100 frames, but they are noticeably tinted magenta. This is especially evident when the subject includes Caucasian skin. They look great on the D600 LCD, of course, but they look very pink on my monitor. When I print, I have adjusted the brightness about +25 in CS4 and the print is still too dark.

Do I need to find or create a different color profile for the D600? Where would I find this in CS4 or on the Internet? Any suggestions - especially from D600 users - will be appreciated.

Dell "base" LCD monitor
Epson Stylus Photo RX580

I am looking for a solution that will work with JPGs shot with my D600, so unless it is the ONLY solution, please do not simply suggest a new software, like CS6 or Lightroom, which do not run under Windows 95.

I looked at one sample image from a friend's D600. He is a studio pro with 30 years experience and he says the image looks fine. HIS D600 file looks just as bad on my monitor as mine do.

There does not appear to be a Camera RAW upgrade for the D600 for CS4, either, so just shooting in RAW won't help. That's a whole other issue.

SUMMARY: After 5 years of no color issues with the D300, the D600 is displaying a decidedly magenta color cast. I am looking for a plug-in or other fix for this problem.

I'm still learning about the ins & outs of my camera. I did notice that when I was shooting in low light without the flash, it sounded like the shutter went off significantly slower vs with the flash on.

How to fix black border issue when I take photos?

Im using a Nikon D5100 with 50mm f1.8 lens. The photos I take suddenly have this black border on the top side of all my photos. Also, this happens only every other time I take a picture.

Nikon Camera Lens not attaching to Body?

My Nikon D60 lens is not attaching to the body.It makes a clicking noise then pops out and just falls off. Why is my new Nikon camera take pictures that are always out of focus?

About a month ago i purchased a new Nikon DSLR, the D5100. Generally i like it a lot, but i find that when im in the midst of taking a picture, it will be crystal clear when i look through the lense or on the screen, but then as soon as i take the photo, it will turn out blurry and out of focus. Also sometimes the lighting will be perfect and then as soon as i take the photo it will turn out really dark. Any Ideas why that is? Its extreamly frustrationg.

Problem with my battery grip (nikon d5100)?

I just recently purchased a Nikon d5100 as well as a battery grip I purchased online. The problem is the generic batteries are easy to remove from the grip, however, the official Nikon battery is very difficult to remove.It does not pull out when I push the little tab. Also, it seems like the d5100 is only detecting one battery, rather than both of them. If you have any suggestions, they would be much appreciated. Thank you.

How to convince parents to let me get a second camera?

This might, and probably will sound really spoiled, but a few months ago i bought a nikon d5100 with my own babysitting money/allowance, and i want to also buy a gopro hero3, with my own money, of course. They both do completely different things for ex. The dslr weight 700g whioe the gopro weighs 70. The dslr is professional for photography, while the gopro can be used casually, underwater, and strapped all over you for cool videos. Plus, to take pics with my friends, i dont want to carry around a heavy dslr all the time, and my phone doesnt have a camera in it. I tried telling my mom and she called me stupid for wanting a second camera as if im starting a collection, and i said they have completely different uses, and plus you've never bought me a new phone (i always get handmedowns, and by my age my brother had 3 phones, first hand) so could i just get this thing i want! And she said spend it kn soemthing much more useful, dont waste it… Flr those of u who will agree with my mom, ill gladly take ur thoughts, just as long as you also answer my actual question, please.

Nikon d5000 still worth buying?

So I want to buy a dslr, I've been wanting one for a few years now but I finally saved up and can finally afford one, preferably less than $650 though, but I may be okay with a bit more if its worth it.

Right now I'm leaning towards the Nikon d5000 or canon t3i/t2i. I know these cameras have been out for a few years already so are they still worth buying? Is three anything around the same range worth getting instead? Also, if I buy it and don't like it, would it be relatively easy to sell back on say eBay or Craigslist?

I have a question and I hope someone here can answer me. :)

I have a D300s and I am investing in some lenses to begin my journey as a freelance photographer.

I have the following:

Nikon 50mm f/1.8D
Nikon 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G
Nikon Fisheye 10.5mm f/2.8G

I plan to take photographs of boats on the water racing and also in the marina. I also plan on doing portraiture, functions/parties/weddings, products and interiors.So, pretty much everything!

I was thinking of investing in:

Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED Lens
Nikon AF-S VR Micro NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED Lens

Are these good choices? What else?

Does anyone have any recommendations? Any advice will be greatly received.

Weird D5100 shutter speed?

I play around with shutter speed in Mode 'A'. This is what I notice. Without an external speedlite or with the built-in flash 'OFF", the shutter speed can be set as high as 1/4000. But as soon as I pop up the flash, the shutter speed immediately go down to 1/200 and that's the highest. Shouldn't it be the other way around, because higher shutter speed needs more light for correct exposure? That's weird. I just bought my D5100 about 3 weeks ago and WAS very happy about it, until I found this high speed sync problem! And to make it worst, today, I just bought a high speed sync Yongnuo speedlite, YN-568EX, only to find out my investment in the speedlite was useless. Should've just bought a cheaper YN-565EX instead.My Q is, Is that normal for Nikon D5100? or is there something wrong with my D5100?

Tan band across photos at high ISO settings?

I've been testing out a new camera, and I just now realized that at a high ISO setting I get this tan line, which is sometimes in the middle, sometimes on an edge, and sometimes not there at all. I've never seen this happen before. What might the cause be?

Entry level for the enthusiastic amateur! We cannot decide between Nikon D3100 and the Sony a37 Digital SLR. Reviews seem to conflict. Sony has stabilising and is good for video (not the most important aspect) but Nikon is often preferred. Very confused. Would appreciate some help!

Corrupt SD card (Nikon DSLR)?

Hi,
I was using my Nikon D7000 camera when I turned on the camera it said "Card Error". Some how the SD card got corrupted, and it won't show up on my computer. There is a lot of photos on the card that I want to recover.

How do you deal with such a situation? Should I try to fix the corrupted SD card, or just recover the photos and format the card? Which is more likely to work? and what programs do you recommend for each (cost is not an issue)?

PhotoRec couldn't detect the SD card at all. I tried many different recovery programs and none could open the SD card.
I tried formatting it in Windows, but Windows can't format it.Is there anyway/software to force format the card?
BTW, it's a Patriot LX 16GB class 10 SD card.

I have a D5100 NIKON camera and I decided to buy a RØDE mic I used it with the camera then there is no sound but when I use the mic with the pc it works fine. :/ Anyone has a solution to this or have the same problem?
