I need to a better set of lenses for my Nikon D5300 camera?

I just have Nikon kit lens of 18-55. I do shoot at narrow apertures to get the better sharpness. But I would like to improve even further.

I was thinking at prime lens 35mm by nikon f1.77

or sigma 18-35mm or 17-70mm How is the sharpness from these?

I do not care about shooting videos much.

Also to increase the zoom range i was thinking about Nikon 55-200mm,

the old 55-200mm VR is £125.00 the new 55-200mm VR II is £250 is this new version really worth of extra money?is there a difference in sharpness?

thanks

Which Canon DSLR camera fits me best?

Hello, my 18th birthday is coming up and I really want a Canon DSLR camera. But Im too confused. At my high school, in grades 10 and 11 we had a mandatory photography class so I actually know a bit about it but there are too many cameras to choose from. I want to take pictures of nature, places and occasionally normal friend pictures. Im going to England after my 18th birthday and That s where Im planning to take a lot of nature pictures. I usually take pictures with my friends using my iphone but If let s say Im spending a vacation abroad, Id take pictures using the Camera. But it s mainly nature and video/vlogging focused. Also, I dont want to break the bank since this would be my first camera and Im not a pro. So Id like it to be under 1000$. And a camera with good focus. Ive used a Nikon camera before since my cousin owns one (dont remember the model) and I liked it but not as much as the canon. Ive used a canon EOS 600D (i think it s the rebel t3 in America?) For my photography class, Our class was based on it. I loved it and that was my top choice for picking a camera but I d like to know if there are other Canon s that suit my purpose better. Thank you!

Lens recommendations for a beginner in photo/videography?

I own a Nikon D3300 with the standard 18-55 Nikkor that came with the camera when I bought it. I'm enrolled in film school and it's about to begin shortly, so I'd like to know what kind of lenses I would probably need for shooting videos. We will cover commercials, documentaries, some photography, short films, etc. I've been told to get a wide angle lens by a few people, but I'm thinking of a zoom lens as well… Anyway, any recommendations? Please explain in simple terms since I probably won't understand most of the technical jargon and I'm still a beginner. Thanks in advance.
Added (1). B K: I've learned about lenses and focal lengths and finished the first year of film school (sorry if my talk of being a beginner sounds like I haven't learned anything, but by rights I'm still very much a newbie compared to my classmates) and the 18-55 has been enough so far. But I was advised to get new lenses since second year will be more intense. I know I'd need new equipment sooner or later, and I'd like to buy them now since I'm on holiday and they're a lot cheaper in my home country.
Added (2). B K: Yes. I've tried to get more information on what projects we'll do next, but the best I got is "documentaries and short films." So definitely nothing crazy like wildlife or sports just yet. I guess I'm looking for an all-around lens that can fit multiple purposes? Sorry for the lack of information, but thank you anyway for your answer and consequent updates.

How to take night shots with a Nikon N65 (SLR)?

This camera is not digital. My photography teacher told us to use the "Bulb" setting, but this camera doesnt have one. I dont want to use the Auto setting and we are not allowed to use flash.

How can I take night shots with this camera if I dont have a "Bulb" or "Time" setting?
