I'm looking into buying the 50mm 1.2 for my nikon d7000,

will it work and is it worth buying the 1.2 over the 1.4?

i already own the 50mm 1.8.

I can't decide what SLR camera to get?

I have a vivtar 80-200mm 1:4.5 lens that's compatible with Nikons, but I have a Canon adaptor for it. I have a canon FD 50mm 1.8 lens. I also have zoom lens, except its for canon. I have a canon AV-1 (I've never used it, and I don't plan to… it came with the 50mm lens for a good deal). I have a broken canon ae-1 program.At this point, I decided to buy an all-mechanical SLR because I don't wanna deal with it breaking. What should I get? Should I get a Canon fTb and buy a 50mm 1.4 lens for it? I know that the body isn't as important as the lens. Or should I buy something like a Nikon FM2 with a 50mm 1.4 lens (more expensive than canon) or a Pentax K1000 with a 50mm 1.7 lens. Thanks for your opinion!

What settings are used in light graffiti?

I want to try out 'light graffiti', or 'light painting', on my camera. I have the Nikon D5100, and I'm wondering which settings work best for this. If anyone has tried it, what settings have you used? What do most people typically use? Anything is appreciated (:

Why doesn't my camera show on my mac when it is plugged in?

When i use the card reader it doesn't show… when i plug a wire into the computer it doesn't show either it just wants to download to dropbox when i don't have it.my camera is a nikon D90
can any one help?

Thinking of buying 24-70mm sigma lens for Nikon D3100.
Do you own it?..How's the quality and would you suggest it for my camera since is a crop sensor camera?
Is it suitable for candid, street and a little all around photos?

Can you put a old manual focus lens on a nikon j1 like 135 nikkor Q 3.5?

I'm not sure about anything such as camera jargen for the j1 I mean I use a Nikon f2 most of the time

Nikon 18-105mm or 55-300mm?

I found both of these lenses used online for around the same price and I am torn with which one to get. I've looked at reviews and samples of video and images online. I think I like the 55-300mm. What are opinions from experience? What im looking for is sharper imaging with action shots

Macro Photography Lenses? - 1

Hello everyone. I'm starting to work on my Macro Photography more and more, and now instead of using my phone I'm going to start to use my camera again like I used to. Getting in to the close ups are a little confusing with my lenses though. There for, here I am.

My setup is a Nikon D70.
Af-s nikkor 18-70mm 1:3.5-4.5G ED DX
Af nikkor 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 D ED
Ex sigma 70-200mmD 1:2.8 apo dg hsm
Nikon speedlight sb-600
Hb-15
Hb-32

I'm assuming the second lense is my best bet for what I want to do, but I got this feeling it's not what I really need though. Any advice and tips? I was hoping I had what I needed so I didn't have to spend all my money again haha. This camera was for what I used to do.

How much zoom will I get with a 55-200mm lens on my Nikon D3000?

I am a new DSLR user, and I have graduation commencement this Sunday. I found someone who is selling their Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G VR lens for $100. I am speaking at my commencement and I want some good quality photos of me on stage. I plan to offer the seller $80 for this lens, after I meet with them and ensure the lens is in good condition of course. I'm just curious if this will be enough zoom that I'm looking for. I used to have a Canon PowerShot and it had amazing zoom, so I was a little spoiled, but I wanted to upgrade to the good quality of a DSLR camera. I know it will be 3x zoom, but what exactly does that mean? How far away can I shoot, and will the pictures be good quality?
