ISO on camera DSLR (Nikon)?

I am going on a trip in a couple of weeks and i will need to take photographs outside, (hopefully) in the sun! What ISO should i use, and can you quickly explain the ISO thing? Like more light=higher or lower ISO? Thanks!:)

Does a Nikon 50mm 1.4 Lens need a hood?

I have a canon and have a hood but my friend has a Nikon and we can't seem to find the right one to fit her lens. Didn't know if we needed a hood for the lens either.

Canon entry level dslr camera?

Will t2i 550d and 600d t3i b there after 3 years, will canon stop their production.i am thinking to buy beginner entry level, but i am waiting n confuse because if canon launch new entry level dslr camera under 3 year with many improvement n changes, i will regret buying the present one, just like u buy new mobile phone n after new one comes u feel to buy the new one.n if canon stop the production of these two cameras, i will b in problem i will regret for not buying earlier n i dont like nikon. i am thinking to buy 600d t3i, so is there any news for new entry level launch by canon under 2 or 3 years

I just bought nikon d5200 and i want to use bulb mode but i cant take pictures with more thn 30sex exposures is there any way i can use bulb mode without buying shutter cable or remote coz i have no money left for that.

What lense should buy?

I want to buy the Nikon D5100 Camera, but i dont know which way of buying it would be best.my options are, either buy the camera body (separate) for $600 and a AF 70-300mm lense for $200, which totals to $800, my other option is to buy the nikon D5100 twin lense kit (which consists of the camera body, an 18-55 mm and 55-300 lense) for around $900. I dont know which one is better.

Why CCD's are not used in professional cameras?

I have a simple question in my mind that big companies like Canon, Nikons dont use CCD instead of CMOS in their professional cameras, when CCD's are more advantageous than CMOS?

For the Nikon D90. I have much experience on cameras but I am about to buy the Nikon D90 and would like some feedback. I already have the 1.8G, is it even necessary to buy the 1.4? which difference would it make?

Im a newbie and thinking of getting a my first dslr. Something in the three cameras price range. Only research i did was on best buy by just comparing the specifications, but didn't see much of a difference. Also what's e difference between the d5100and d3200? Any recommendations? Thanks

Nikon is going to hold a press conference today (February 19th) for the announcement of the Nikon D7100.It said Tuesday night and it already been night so have anyone heard any news about the Nikon D7100? I have been waiting all night long and I couldn't find any information about it. Now one of the website said it will happen on Wednesday night as well.Is this true? Also, is it true that there will be Nikon D7100? Does anyone have better knowledge about D7100? Please tell me because my birthday is coming up next month and I rather buy the upgrade of the D7000 than buying the D7000. Thanks!

Lens for low-light concert photos?

I'm shooting with a Nikon D3000 and I have to use my regular zoom lens it came with for concerts because the 50mm f/18 I have is not auto-focus so it is hard to focus on things in such a dark setting.So I was interested in getting the 50mm f/1.4 AF-S.Is this a good option? and how well will it work with things in low- lighting and motion? I have a lower budget so this is one is right in my price range as well.

What are some good cameras for a beginning photographer?

I'm 15, I'd really like to get into photography. I've been stuck taking pictures on really old Polaroid cameras and cheap Kodaks and I'd like to do something more. I went to Best Buy to get one, but I was completely lost on what would be good for a beginner. I really like Nikons and Canons but nothing too big--just something I can easily carry on my neck.My parents don't want to spend anymore than 700 dollars on a camera. Any suggestions?
