Is the nikon d5200 worth it/ NEW NIKON?

I was planning on getting a nikon d5100 but then i saw that nikon had the d5200.its $200 more at my local bestbuy.but i was wondering is it worth it.its a bit over my budget but i dont plan on getting another camera in 6 or 7 years.im not a professional photographer but photography takes a big role in my life.im familier with iso aperture, wb, shutter speeds etc.im more of a semi pro hobbyist photographer.i know the 5200 has 39 auto focas points and 8 more megapixels, but does it make a big difference.please tell me your opinions on which camera to get
BTW: my new camera is suppose to be an upgrade from my olympus e3, i take all types of photos-macro to landscape and everything in between ( if that helps )

Can I use the lens from my Nikon D70 with another Camera?

I currently have the 2004 model Nikon D70 its old! and the screen is tiny!

As I am traveling to LA next month I am going to need a newer better quality camera.So I was wondering if (to save money) I can buy the camera body only for another camera such as the Nikon D5100 and use the 18-70mm lens that came with the D70?

I am not much of a camera expert at all so I have no idea if this is a stupid question or not! haha

Thanks

Lee

Is there a site that explains all (or most common) Nikon lenses?

I know that websites say things like this lens is "perfect for travel and portrait pictures as well as general photography" or things like that, but I'm looking at lenses to buy and would like a site that has a breakdown of what lenses are good for what uses… perhaps with some photo examples to go along with them.

Does anyone know of anything like this? Any help would be spectacular. I have a Nikon D3000 and only have the kit lens thus far.

Nikon D7000 - EVERY SINGLE PHOTO is BACKFOCUSED!

So, I fork out a lot of money on a nice new camera, and I am presented with TERRIBLE PHOTOGRAPHS!
I started with a Nikon D3000, which was easy, but now, I have a D7000, with an 18-105mm lens, and every photo is focused on the background. I have it on auto focus mode, but changing it to single-focus point makes it harder for the camera to focus.
It's annoying as I take pictures of cars, and the actual car is rarely in focus. The successful pictures (about 10% of them) are on my Flickr page, AdamC3046.
Added (1). YES IT DOES MAKE IT HARDER FOR THE CAMERA TO FOCUS. DON'T TELL ME SOMETHING DIFFERENT FROM WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED.
If I use the single focus-point, it won't focus on some things, where it does on the Auto mode.
Added (2). And to 'The Last Anon', I am angry because I took nearly 1000 pictures on Sunday, and none of them are any good. A wasted day.

Keep my bridge camera, or get a DSLR?

Hi,
Last year I bought a Fujifilm SL300 Bridge camera (£200) for my holiday, now looking back, I regret buying that camera, and what I really an DLSR. I have looked around for ones under £450, and the best one I found were the Nikon D3200 (£400).
If you were in this situation, what would you do? Keep the SL300? Sell the SL300 and get the D3200 for £200 more?
Thanks!

What is wrong with my Nikon D40?

I am facing several problems with my Nikon D40 camera.In scene mode, the auto-focussing does not work and the flash just pops up in response to the click button. This happens particularly after taking picture of a dark object in low light conditions.

Best budget film camera (under £1000)?

I'm looking for a budget camera for filming. Can anyone help?
I would like 1080HD at 30fps with image stabilization, good focus options and lighting adjustment.

I have looked at the "Nikon D3200" and it seems impressive.
The "Go Pro HD Black" seems high quality but it has very poor lighting and battery performance.

Are there any budget camera's out there that anyone can recommend?

Why is my Nikon D3200 misting up?

I bought a new Nikon D3200 but since using it have on two occasions had problems with fogging inside the body.It doesn't appear to be on the lens itself as it quickly clears if I remove the lens. I'm not shooting in particularly humid or damp environments: both times I was indoors. Does anyone have any ideas what may be causing this to happen, or whether the camera is faulty?
Added (1). Just to add: neither of the times the fogging occurred had I moved from a cool to a hot/humid environment or vice-versa. I was indoors on both occasions when the 'fogging' appeared.
Added (2). I live in the UK - we have no need for air-conditioning!

Is it worth to buy an old Nikkormat FT3 film slr?

I saw one, priced around $100 in a yard sale..,I like the body design… gives that vintage look kind of thing… and from what i research, its one of the rarest camera model that nikon have produced in years… Will my money be worth it to buy the used SLR film camera? Right now I have my own compact camera… so, what will it be? should i go for the 1977 made camera or stick with my newer digital compact camera? Thanks

About to purchase a Nikon D5200 which lens deal should a newbie choose?

I am expecting my first child and am also interested in doing a photography course. Have fallen in love with the Nikon D5200 a friend has, and am going to be purchasing my own. Though am stuck with which deal to go for, as there are a few deals happening at the moment with different lens kits.

These are the different options:

~ Nikon D5200 + Single lens kit 18-105 (around $1100 - $1200);
~ Nikon D5200 + Twin lens kit 18-55mm VR and 55-200mm VR Twin Lens(around $900 - $1000);
~ Nikon D5200 + Twin lens kit 18-55mm VR + 70-300mm Twin Lens (around $950 - $1100);
~ OR Nikon D5200 + Single lens kit 18-55mm VR lens (around $850 - $900)

I just want to be sure I am purchasing the right deal to suit both my needs (family shots and future amateur photography shots) and I don't want to be spending more for powerful lens kits that I wont have the need for.

Any suggestions?
