Im wanting a good (but relatively cheap) telephoto lens for my Nikon D5000 for wildlife photography. The lens in question is a Nikon 300mm /f4.AF. Whats the difference between AF and AF-S besides being silent? Does it impact the image quality if i use an AF vs an AF-S? The AF is so much cheaper. And if you know of any better and cheapish lenses, please let me know! Thanks :)

Will a Quantaray lens work/fit on a Nikon D3200?

Can someone please explain the best way to clean my DSLR?
I'm a photography noob and I've had my Nikon D5100 for about 6 months and I don't shoot with it much but I've used it enough to gathered just a bit of dust and such on it, and I'm wondering the best way to clean it? There's also a tiny bit of oil on it from my hands and face, is there a way to get rid of that? It's just a little shinier than the rest of the camera in those places.Is it safe to use a keyboard duster (the kind with the cold compressed air or something) on the outside? Is it safe to use on the inside? I've had to change the lens outdoors and there are a few specks of dust inside.

How to get super crisp video with my Nikon D5100?
Perhaps it's not even capable but i really hope it is.i get everything perfectly in focus, i've done many tests on different depths and objects it looks great on the display but when i play the video back on my computer it's never that super crisp edge i'm looking for, it still seems ever so slightly blurred.

I'm about to make the transition into the DSLR market from the compacts and I'm looking for some help in choosing a camera.
At the moment I've narrowed it down to four choices:
Nikon D5200 (I personally think i should go for this one because this one is in my budget)
Nikon D3200
Canon 650D
Nikon D90
What's most important to me is image quality.and 1080p video recording option
So, which do you think would be the best choice?

Can i use my slr's external wireless flash during video?
Hey i just bought a sigma EF 610 DG SUPER external flash to go with my nikon d5100.ive never used an external flash before and i'm still familiarising myself with it but i think so far ive managed to understand its basic functions when used for still photography.i was wondering though is it possibly to use my flash as an open source of light during a video shoot? or are these only capable of making instantaneous flashes?
I have the feeling it most probably does not do what i just asked but im just hoping, it would help me a lot if it does.

Do you use a Nikon 1?
This is simple. I preordered the new nikon 1 j3 and am excited to get it.My question is how many guys actually have and use a Nikon 1? I cant help but think more girls enjoy it. Regardless, I think im still going to enjoy this new tech! (im a guy btw lol)

Nikon D5100 vs Canon T2i
I like them both but of course I can't get both.
I like how the Nikon D5100 has 11 AF Points vs 9 on the Canon and that the Nikon D5100 has a newer sensor. While the Canon T2i sensor is a 2009 sensor.
BUT, I also like how the Canon gives you really good videos. Also I'm more familiar with Canon lenses than Nikon. (Had a Canon before) Nikon lenses confuse me cause they have all these XD Lenses and FX lenses.It all confuses me.
Their both like apples and oranges to me honestly. If I pick Nikon, I will lose the great video quality that Canon gives me but, If I pick Nikon, I get 11 AF Points and a newer sensor. But I'm confused with the lenses and etc. Never really picked up a Nikon.
Please tell me which one I should pick. I can always get the Nikon and just video tape on a compact camera from canon.So should I just go with that?

Which zoom is best for D7000?
Nikkor 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR ((OR)) Nikon Zoom-Nikkor 70-200mm F/2.8G VR AF-S Lens? Now I know both of these lens are expensive, I can only buy one of them but the question is… which one is the most worthy len? The most fast and sharp len. Please help! Thanks!
