How to take indoor photo studio quality pictures at home?

I recently bought a Nikon D5100 with the 18-55 and 18-200 lens. One of the biggest reasons was to save money from going to the Photo studio's like portrait innovations for the little one. I am looking for tips and tricks on how to take photo studio indoor pictures at home. How would you recommend setting up, for now i want to use cheap home items to get started like bed sheets or stand up lights. Please give me some tips and tricks on how to get started.

Best film camera to purchase? Canon AE-1 vs Nikon N80?

I just love the look of film photos, I think they're infinitely more beautiful than digital pictures. Still, I really don' know anything about photography and the kinds of cameras there are. What is the best film camera to purchase? A lot of people have told me both the Canon AE-1 and the Nikon N80 are good… which one would be the best out of these two?

Can you buy lenses for a nikon 810?

I just got my camera in August. I really wanna buy more lenses like the fish eye lens and others like that. But, I'm not exactly sure if you can change the lens with this camera. Help?

How to double expose film on a Nikon N75?

I do have access to a darkroom, so I could just layer my negatives over each other--but I'd like to learn how to double, triple, etc.expose the film on my Nikon N75 camera. (If possible.)

I haven't been able to quite make sense of how to do it with the manual of the camera, so I was hoping someone on here might know how to do it. If you know how, please enlighten me! :) It would be much appreciated.
Added (1). Ah, well it would make sense that I didn't understand, because I was looking in the wrong place. I was looking at trying to rewind the film, on page 78. Guess I'm not the brightest.

Upgrade or change to prime lens?

I have a Nikon D3100 and believe that I should upgrade my camera to get better pictures.My partner tells me that I should use her prime lenses to get better images rather than just using the lens that came with the camera. Help!

Best Point&Shoot camera for low light and sports?

Hey guys,
i need a point and shoot camera that is good in low light and good for movement.
I have tried several one's from canon and nikon and now my latest one is the samsung wb150.
But none i've had got me really excited about the pictures it took at night outdoors. Or when i try to take pics of my 2 year old… they always come out grainy and blurry and with ugly shadows…

Is there a camera you have or would suggest that can give me what i am looking for?
And i do have a DSLR camera but i am looking for a smaller size that can come close to what the DSLR can do.

Do My Photos Look Bad?

So i have been using a DSLR for about 2 years now, i use nikon D5000, with a 50mm 1.8 prime, and my question really is after im done taking photos and done editing, is it just me that finds alot of flaws in my own photos or is that every photographer? also when i see other local photographers i am amazed with there photos, but when i look at mine i just think they are alright and nothing amazing about them.Is that normal for me to think like that as an enthusiast? I know its kind of hard to answer this question since i dont have any images uploaded online.

Does this sound like an ebay scam?

I just listed my Nikon d90 for sale on ebay, and it sold within an hour. The woman who purchased it sent me a message asking for my paypal email address, or for me to request the money from her account. I searched her name and address on white pages, and all of the information matches up. Would a scammer go that far? To find a random woman and use her information? I want to believe it's real, but that fact that she hasn't just paid through ebay worries me.
Added (1). I did send her an invoice for the purchase after the message. She mentioned she wanted my email "to make it easy on her".So maybe she just doesn't know how to use ebay yet?

What's the name of this Nikon video editing software?

I used to have a CD with this really cool video editing/movie making software. I'm 99% positive it was by Nikon.It's possible that it was by Sony. I can't find the CD anywhere and for the life of me I can't remember what it's called, so I can't find it online. Some time ago, I recall looking for drivers for that software and I remember something about it being outdated, so it definitely hasn't been renewed or anything but I just really need to find this old version.

It was very basic, and it pretty much did everything for you. You load your pictures, videos and music. I think there's a total of three options - the color of the final movie (black and white, sepia, original), the order of pictures (random or in order), and the style of the video (old TV style, music video style ((where it's really random)), and simple style)… and then you just click CREATE and after it analyzes everything you've uploaded, it creates this awesome video.kinda on its own.

I really need this program, if you have any thoughts at all, please share!!! thank you so much!!!

Lens compatibility for Nikon?

Will a lens (Nikon AF-S DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR afs 18-55) that came from the box of a Nikon D5000 kit fit on my Nikon D90? I have an 80-200 lens and a 300 macro lens. Would this 18-55 be a good compliment or should I go for 18-200 or something else?
Added (1). Thank you for AW Boater. The 18-55 is cheaper anyway and I only wanted a lens for portraits since my previous N70 lens broke.

Taylor, there is such a thing as a 300mm macro zoom lens. I purchased one years ago with my N70.It works great with my D90 by the way.
