Best equipment for film making?

I need to know the best equipment to produce hi-quality short films, music videos, documentaries, promos and mini movies.

I recently shot this promo video. Using a Nikon point and shot HD Digital Camera. This was my first ever real project that I worked on. Very armature and rough editing. On a free video editor. Here is the link.http://youtu.be/sbbEM6FZBgM

I'd like to really like to go further into the filmmaking world. I'm getting a brand new MacBook to work on and it comes with iMovie but I may pick up more professional editing software in the future but as for now I need some much better equipment to really get into producing some great films.

Budget wise not really a huge budget but I'd like to pick up everything I need for about 3500 on everything.

Hi end or top of the line amateur or intermediate camera/camcorder/dslr
Quality microphone
Lighting kits
Green screen
Lenses
And anything else I may need. Please and thank you.

Also you don't have to give descriptions on pros and cons I can do the research my self, I'd just like a list of the top 4 or 5 models and ill take it from there. Thanks

Nikon Camera Lens For Nikon D40?

I have had the Nikon D40 for several years now. I have the 55-200mm lens as well as the 18-55mm lens… The 18-55mm is jammed so I no longer use it. The problem is that I am having a really hard time taking clear photos for outdoor high school football games. The pictures turn out so blurry when the sun goes down. I can only use the 55-200mm lens like I said but was wondering if there is just not a lot I can do with the Camera I have or is there a lens I could by that might be better for outdoor football action shots. I also do some photography on the side for senior, newborn, and family portraits. With my 18-55mm being jammed, it makes photographing the portraits difficult at times. Any suggestions? Should I try getting my 18-55mm fixed or buy a new one or should I buy a different lens or even camera?

HOW to turn my nikon d3000 on? HELP?

Ok I know there is a button that says on off, I turn it on but I can't see anything on my screen, it keeps showing me information, what do i press so I can see what I am looking at on my SCREEN!!!

Good quality D3100 compatable camera mic?

I want to buy a good microphone to use with my Nikon D3100 camera, but I don't know what are considered good mics for certain types of things, or like what the difference between condenser mics and the other type are, or what would be the best choice in type of mic and brand. I mainly just want an external microphone so I can better record the voices of people or things that im filming that are a little too far away for my camera to hear. If anyone is some type of microphone guru and can give me the lowdown on the information im seeking, and what type of mic and brand would be best for me, please let me know.thanks.

A good mobile with a Camera or a Stand alone Camera?

Kindly advice, if i should go for a Mobile with a good camera;like for example Sony Ion [12 MP camera, in 20, 000 rupees] or a conventional, Stand-Alone camera like Nikon or a canon with 12-14 MP camera in almost equal cost. I click occasionally, like most of the people, but need a camera.

How many 10MB jpeg files will fit on a 4.7GB DVD disc?

I have a Nikon D5100. I want to have the settings setup as Fine and Large which means each file will be about 10MB's big. How many of these 10MB jpeg's can get burned to a DVD?

I expect to take like 800 or so at a wedding this saturday and wondered if they might fit.on one disc.

Need help with dlsr flash control?

I wanted to buy a new flash setup for some upcoming car shows. I was gonna buy two Yongnuo 560 II with a Yongnuo RF-602. I would like to know if these would work in conjunction with each other on a nikon 5100. Thanks in advance!
