I'm mainly dealing with conditions involving very low light availability without the use of flash and would like to know whether the D600 is just as good as the D800.

Reverse mount nikon d3200?

Okay so im using a reverse mount with my nikon d3200 and its kit lense. But when i go to take a picture on manual mode hardly anything shows up… Even with a ton of light… Help?

How to remotely activate 'video record' option with Nikon d3200 camera?

I recently bought a Nikon D3200 camera and I've been loving it.honestly, the only reason i bought it was to be able to record videos of my band/ solo live shows/ and make you tube videos.however after setting it up on a tripod and i push the record button to start capturing video, the maximum amount of time it can record is 20mins, (which is what i read in the manual) but the thing is, i simply cant go away from the mic or stage to go click record on the camera after every song, or even every 5 songs. I've found a few shutter release remotes for the nikon d3200, but im wondering if it will ONLY remotely take pictures.or will these remotes ALSO start and stop recording from a distance? does anyone have any experience with this? (once again.i need a way to remotely start and stop video recording on my nikon d3200) thanks for your time!

Petal Lens Hood for AF-S Nikkor 55-300mm?

I was wondering if there was a decent Petal Hood For my Nikkor 55-300mm and my 18-55mm lenses.
Not too sure if Nikon manufactures Petal hoods for these lenses, but I am willing to buy a decent third party hood.

24-70mm nikon vs tamron?

Hey guys. I am planning to purchase a 24-70mm for my Nikon D600 and saw that there is a huge price difference between the nikkor and tamron. I am not a huge fan of 3rd party manufacturers but I am not a fanatic either. I was wondering if there is quality wise a difference between these two lenses like sharpness at different focal lengths, built quality, vignetting(even though i dont mind a little bit of vignetting), bokeh, etc. And what is this Nano coating? and does the tamron have it aswell? Good travel lens for my Nikon D7000?

I was wondering which lens is lighweight, affordable, and has decent quality?
I was thinking that maybe one of these, but they don't have a zoom:
- Nikon NIKKOR AF-S 50mm f/1.8 Lens
- Nikkor AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8G Lens
- Nikon AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G

I was thinking about purchasing one of these lenses and bring my 18-105 kit lens on vacation. I really want to take quick night photos as well (meaning that you can raise the shutter speed because of the smaller aperature value)
What are your opinions? Will that be enough?

DSLR kits/bundles vs buying separably?

So i finally have my list of camera/lenses and accessories i just need to buy them. But when i started peaking around it appears most find the kit lenses to be fairly crap compared to others on the market (18-55 mm lenses).My question is when i start buying in the next few months is it better to grab a bundle/kit or just buy the body and lenses separately do you lose anything by buying separately(cables, software, ect? Also what would be cheapest method since budget is to a degree a concern for me? have a budget somewhere around 800$ and plan on buying the nikon d5100. Bundles/kits all seem to come with the 18-55 When it seems id prefer the 18-135 unless you save money by buying the bundle/kit. (Links are fine but keep in mind i need a US version and sales wont do good if i end up having to wait a few months).- Thanks in advance, Jack.
Added (1). Also looking at the 55-200mm lenses but keep in mind ive heard other companies can make better lenses (?). Mostly i just want the cheaper method without sacrificing the quality of coarse.(If thats the bundle/kits then just give me the word.

Is a career in photography really attainable?

The only thing I know about photography is that I love taking and editing pictures. I am 30 years old and on a tight budget. I plan on buying a Nikon D7000, Photoshop (which I know nothing about either) and some other basics. Thinking about attending a correspondence photography school along with some local courses.Is it reasonable, with hard work, that I can actually make a living in say two years of learning and practicing?

How would the Nikon D3200 be for shooting video?

I want to get into online video, and the video camera I'm using now is the Flip Mino which shoots in 1080p but the quality still is really horrible. I'm looking into get a DSLR to shoot video with. The camera in particular that I'm looking at is the Nikon D3200. I already own the D3000, but it is unfortunately the model that doesn't shoot video. Any other suggestions? I (obviously) want the best quality for the smallest price tag.
