Long Island - where should I stay?

I'm going to a concert on a Sunday night at Jones Bach Island on Sept.8th. I'm thinking of making a weekend out of it and staying a couple of nights so that I can spend a day in NYC too. Where is a good place to stay, so that it's close to NYC (want to take a train) and a short drive to the Nikon at Jones Beach (we'll be driving a car from Boston, so will drive to the concert)? Just looking for a convenient decent place for a reasonable price. Or is it easier to stay in Wantagh/Freeport and take the train to the Penn station? Thank you!

Suggestions for a DSLR camera?

I'm planning on taking a trip to The Bahamas in a couple months and I want to purchase a nice DSLR camera that I could capture my experiences on. I'd like a camera that takes high quality pictures and also high quality video but I'm not exactly sure where to start looking or what to start looking at. I'm partial to Nikon but only because I'm somewhat familiar with their quality. I'd be looking for a camera no more than $350. All suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

I'm thinking about getting a Nikon d3200, and maybe going to collage to do a photography course. I really enjoy photography (especially wildlife and animal photography!)

Thinking of buying theses lens for NIKON D3100(CROP SENSOR)
What do you think about it
Is it mostly suitable for landscape photography(but my dslr is crop factor so i am guessing is not that great for landscape)?

Does the canon EOS 100D (EOS rebel SL1) have really good picture quality?

I would like to get great wildlife pictures.So far my search has come up with two great contestants. The Nikon D7100 and of course the Canon EOS 100D (EOS rebel SL1). I am open to suggestions for any more, excellent cameras. I'm leaning more towards the Nikon, but I don't like the setup (all the buttons!) I like the canon's lower price,, but I love that the Nikon focus' automatically. I'm really stumped… PLEASE HELP!!! I have to make my mind up by the 25th of this month.

Upgrading Nikon camera?

I have a Nikon D3000, this camera is more of a entry level type dslr, what's the next best one to get as in a semi pro type dslr can you please recommend Nikon dslr's as I have some lens that fits Nikon F mount camera's
