Tips for using manual focus?
Ive recently purchased the nikkor 50mm f/1.8g lens for my entry level dslr (dx format) i have been having a lot of fun with it but im just having such a hard time with the manual focus. For ex. Today i took some family pictures for a good friend.just messing around getting more expirience. And about half of my photos were out of focus when i was using manual focus. She has two infants and the dog came so it was definitely tough to focus fast because they were everywhere. But is there anything i can do to help me focus in on my subjects faster? Auto focus almost never focuses on what i want it to be focusing on!

What should the Black Friday Price of a $600 camera be?
The Nikon d5100. Also, if you can, what about the Nikon d7000 on black friday? Canon t3i? These are the three I am looking at, but I mainly need the d5100 price on black friday. If you know the best stores for camera sales then too, that would be helpful! And do lenses go on sale? If so, how much? Please just answer what you can. Thanks! :)

How to decide which camera to buy!
I want to have the option to compare the two cameras I am looking at (Nikon d5100 and Canon t3i) side by side. What is a good place to do this? I went to Target, but they where weirdly tethered and sd cards were not in there so i could not take pictures for examples. Should I look at renting each for a day, or is there a store that will let me use each normally to compare? Thanks!

Help with my Camera Lense and Photography?
1st Problem: My Camera takes good photos when there is natural lighting but when its cloudy the picture lack color and depth is more flat. I try changing the white balance and some times it works sometimes it doesn't because you have to find the perfect spot.
2nd Problem: Lowlight. When ever I try taking lowlight I get super slow focus bad color pictures just does look nice. I try turning up my ISO and lowering the shutter speed but it still doesn't look that good unless you keep it perfectly still on a decent tripod an even then it looks unnatural.anything I can do?
3rd Problem: Most of the pictures I Take lack color I want to take pictures of a flower pedal and a pedal wanting it to look like something in a national geographic magazine it doesn't look quite as good Iooks okay anything I can do to improve on this get a macro Lens? It also effects it when It's cloudy again.

AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G :came with Camera Nikon
AF-S Nikkor 70-300mm 1:4.5-5.6 G: $600 Dollars
What I'm looking for:
1.More Color and Depth when taking pictures in a Cloudy Situation better looking photos
2. Faster and better low light photos minimal noise
3. Clearer more detailed photos

Buying DSLR, canon loyalty program, eBay?
Is it safe to purchase a DSLR camera from eBay? or are most defective, have cheap parts, or missing parts, etc? Where would be an alternative (besides craigslist) to get a T4i or Nikon d5100 for the best price?
I still haven't decided between the two, but those are my top choices, I still have to go in store to see how they feel in my hands, but at my local best buy they are very expensive. I know DSLRs are expensive, but there's a price variation between stores, like with almost any product.
How does the Canon loyalty program work? I've read about it, but I don't quite understand, can I just purchase any old/used canon even if it doesn't work, and use the loyalty program to get a discount on a t4i or t3i? For instance, if I send them a Canon EOS rebel Ti for how much could I get a t4i in the trade? and do I have to give the camera with a lens or can it be body only? and would I get a better deal if the lens is included?

I'm doing a pole mainly because I have some experience with both brands but I don't get to use them much to learn them.

Buying an Entry-level DSLR?
I have sony dsc-W580 cam, I was wounding to gets my hand's on to DSLR I like nikon, but lack of bulit-in autofocus motor chaging my mind due to expensive lens, so my option is canon which one will be a good cam for shooting events video and good pictures in friends family and kids playing. Canon eos 600d or 650d or 60d?

Object still photography, ideas for necktie true color and crisp closeup shots? - 1
I am high volume necktie seller on eBay. I take good pictures but I want best. I have Nikon D-50 and professional light box. I have problem getting true color specially yellow gray and sky blue. Some body suggest me setting on camera and good lens for this purpose. Money is not matter to buy any equipment.

How to increase DPI?
300 dpi is considered as good to taking prints, however when i take pics i see that the dpi is generally below 300, mostly around 240. How do i increase that.Is there anything to be done in the camera settings (Nikon D7000) or do i do it while post processing ?
