By "fancy" camera I mean like the ones professional photographers use… Or one like it that's way cheaper! Basically not a small, digital point and shoot one.
- What is a good "fancy" (DSLR or called something like that… ) to buy that's not over the top expensive. Nothing over about $200. The less- the better!
- Where is a good place to get one?
- How much?
- Places I can look for the best deals?

Tips for shopping on Ebay?
I'm a photographer and am looking to upgrade my camera. I want to buy a Nikon D7000, preferably in a kit that comes with two lenses, a carrying case, and a memory card. I found a kit on Ebay for about $1, 200.
I've never bought anything off of Ebay before, and this looks pretty sketchy even though all the reviews I've read are positive.It's highly undervalued for a camera kit of its kind, which is why I feel it's sketchy.
Anyone have any tips or advice?

Best Portrait Settings for Nikon D3100?
I want to take stunning high depth portraits of my friends and of myself. I would like something you would see on Tumblr. -
Now some information - i have the regular Lens that came with the D3100, i am not an experienced photographer, the only settings i have and know of for portraits is the Portrait setting on the camera.
i am looking for more in depth settings, to change around and shutter options etc.

I want a camera that's very good in low light situations, a camera that can take fast movements pictures (example: taking pictures of someone on a whitewater rafting), weddings, portraits, scenery. And also has a good battery life.
Which one will be best? I'm starting a new venture as a photographer but do not have enough money to buy the best and expensive camera. Please help me with suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Wireless remote control for Nikon D3100 to auto-focus in video?
Okay, so I have a Nikon D3100 and have recently found that it's not possibly to auto-focus the camera without being behind it so that someone is able to push the shutter release button half-way down. Which is a problem for me.As I want to shoot a video of myself in front of the camera, and have the camera to auto-focus on me when I'm in front of the camera lens- which isn't possible as I cannot push down the shutter button without behind behind the camera.
Anyway, I was wondering if it is possible to buy a wireless remote that will enable me to use auto-focus whilst I'm in front of the camera.
Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, I don't have much experience when it comes to shooting video. Thank you, I appreciate your time.

Awkward title but anyways, I just upgraded from a nikon d60 to the 5100. Loving it very much.
I currently have a 18-55 (basic standard lens) and then I have a 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR AF-S DX zoom lens which is incredible but the auto focus is extremely slow when zoomed around 250mm, and continuous focus is pointless.
So I am looking for a fairly priced zoom lens with more of a quicker auto focus. I shoot wildlife and the occasional little sister dance performances so I guess something that works for sports/moving objects ^^.
Thanks for any input I'll do my best to help out with any other little details but I think this post sums It all up. (:
I also maybe like input on Sigma's lens'
So far I am liking the sound of the 150-500mm f/5-6.3 AF APO DG OS HSM zoom lens.

Trying to view RAW format photos in windows 7 photo viewer?
I'm trying to view raw format files on windows 7 photo viewer. The windows website says I need to find and install the proper codec to support that file. The photos were taken on a Nikon but I'm not finding anything codec related on their website. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks!
Also I only want to install a program directly from Nikon for security reasons.

Battery Stuck in Nikon d3100!
I'm new to the fancy camera world, and I purchased my d3100 a few weeks ago. I'm going to a gallery party tomorrow, and the battery is half gone so I wanted to charge it before I left but it won't come out.Is there something special I'm supposed to do? Please help! Thanks!

What camera should I look for?
I'm buying a new camera soon and considering going back to a Nikon. I want to take photos quickly. I'd like to be able to take multiple pictures with just one click, like sequence. I would like to be able to take great pictures in low light. I read some cameras can take great pictures in low light without flash, this would be a plus. I am not a professional and looking to stay under $200-ish. Any advice or opinions?

Having trouble setting interval on remote for DSLR?
I have the Nikon D5100 and the Wireless ShutterBoss Vello remote. I want to take 1 picture every second for an hour or two. However i can only go to 99 seconds, so its only taking 99 pictures.arent the point of wireless remotes to take long exposures and stuff for long periods of time? i was just wondering if i can take multipul pictures for hours, like am i missing something? How to keep the exposure the same in a stop motion video?
Hi - I'm using a Nikon d40x to shoot a stop motion video. The video is of a white notepad with objects moving on and off it. The problem is, the exposure keeps on changing every frame, because the amount of white in the frame is changing.
I have the camera set to 'M', with a constant shutter speed and aperture. I also have a pre-defined white balance and manual focus. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
