Camera says, "lens not attached" but it is?
Added (1). My nikon d60 is saying that the lens is not attached, but i have used the lens many times and never had this problem. It's a 55-300mm lens.

What alternatives are there to a Nikon 1 J2?

My brother has the camera listed above. If I'm honest, I love using it more than he does, and I probably use it more too.

I've always loved taking photos, so I'd like to upgrade my current offerings: a couple of basic compacts, and a huge unused Finepix S4000 bridge camera (I bought it for the zoom - when I was younger, I thought the higher the optical zoom, the better the camera).

I don't really have any interest in (or enough money for) a DSLR. I love the crisp, quality photos that the Nikon produces, and it's 'small focus area' you get with better quality cameras (sorry, no idea what that's called). Especially for such a low priced camera.

I'm looking for something of a similar size, that can fit easily in a bag for travelling (like the Canon S110 maybe?), as it will most likely travel the world with me. I'd prefer not an interchangeable lens, but if the quality is a lot less without, then I don't really mind having one. The ability to take good low light photos would be wonderful. True colour representation is a high point, nice sunsets and vivid bright colours, I want nice photos from my travels. Slow mo video would be fun, but not necessary. I will never use wifi or a touchscreen.

Similar price to the Nikon 1 J2 would be nice, but I've recently been given a bit of money, so I can probably go to the £250 mark, treat myself (I am but a lowly third year student). I could save up though.

So just wondering if there are any alternatives I could look in to?

How to make Nikon d3200 shutter speed faster?

I'm going to be taking pictures of a baby but the shutter speed is not fast enough. Babies move a lot and I want to be able to get a good shot. The ISO is at 400 and on the A setting. I like the pictures it gives when it's still but the baby will be moving.
