Can someone recommend a Nikon lens similar to the Minolta 70-210 f/4 beercan?

One of my students really likes my old beercan lens and she wants something like it for her Nikon.
Added (1). I think she likes the character and age of it as well as the focal length. She wants something from the 80s.

Looking to upgrade from a Nikon D3000?

The D3000 was the first SLR I ever got and I love it, but I'm looking for something that will be more manual & better in low light situations. I definitely want to stick with Nikon. Preferably under $1500.

Using macro mode to photograpy distant objects?

Amerature photographer here with a few questions.

1) Is there anything wrong with using Macro mode to photograph distant objects in the autofocus mode (10 ft or beyond)? Specifically for a Nikon 7100.

2) When the focus is set to infinity, what is the minimum practical distance where everything will be in focus if the f-stop is set at 2.8? How about it the F-stop is set at 4.5?

3) When setting focus to infinity when shooting video, what again is the minimum practical disance where objects will be in focus?

Thanks very much!

80-200mm 2.8 nikkor AF D?

Looking for a fast tele lens with affordable price, so I did conclude my selection between 80-200mm 2.8 D nikkor, 70-200mm 2.8 Tamaron VC and Sigma OS 70-200mm 2.8.

I am more keen for the 80-200mm nikkor as its cheaper and has good performance.

any suggestion or more lenses that I should check.

Thank you in advance

Nikon d3100 lens moves up And down-?

My lens moves up And down. Not on the mount to the camera, but on the end Of the lens that goes out And in, is it broke or is this normal? Also when i try to focus in all the way it gets stuck in a certain spot. I can focus it, it just takes a little extra force.

Zykkor super wider semi fish-eye 0.42x fit?

It won't fit on our Nikon D300 lens which is AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm 1:305-5.6G. We also have one old lens, Nikon LENS SERIES E 50mm 1:1.8 and we have another old lens which we know will not fit because it is a convex type of lens (Nikon LENS SERIES E 135mm 1:28)

Is their a list where zykkor super wider semi fish-eye 0.42x fit?

I have a Nikon D5100.i would say i take semi-good pictures. I have recently started watching Sawyer Hartman's film photography on youtube.i was really inspired by him to take up film photography.i have never taken anything other than pictures.i would really like to start doing this however i dont know where to start.i have the equitment to i just dont really know how to start using it with film.what my goal is, is to make videos and post them onto youtube.i kinda have an idea of what to film but i dont know what angles i should shoot at for different objects or which lenses i should use.should i use the same angles i would if i were to take a picture? i have a 1.8 50mm and a 18-55mm lens.does it matter which one i use? i think i prefer the 50mm in most situations.i live in New York but about an hour an a half away from the city and go there every so often.any advice for beginner?
