Im looking for a good quality professional thats cheap. Either a Canon or Nikon.and the price range $100-$400.

My friend is Asian, she took a picture of herself and the Nikon camera came up saying, ''Did someone blink?'' she was really offended by this and took it pretty harsh, and she's even tried overdosing on medication and she got her car keys and stabbed her self on the wrist with them, she's tried jumping of a bridge and is getting really depressed about this Nikon camera issue and as a friend what can I do to help her and possibly prevent her from thinking about killing herself?
Added (1). Yes, this is true.
She has always been a bit insecure and didn't like her asian eyes but this has really set her off.

Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 vs Nikkor 50mm f/1.8?

Hi, Im a beginner photographer with a Nikon d5100. I have the kit lens (Nikkor 18-55mm) I'd really like to purchase a prime lens, mainly for portraits and achieving nice blur and bokeh. Both lenses are a good price and I cant decide. However, the Auto focus 50mm is more expensive and I dont have the money right now for it.Im a beginner so I feel I should probably purchase an AF-S lens. Which lens would you recommend, and what are the main differences?

I've been watching test footage for the Nikon D5100 and the auto focus sound is really irritating.So is there a manual focus mode on video recording? I was going to buy the D5100 for pictures and videos.

I would like to know is Nikon AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8 G is compatible with Nikon D3100? and works well?
I would like to use it for portrait photography, do you recommend it or not? if not what would you recommend?

What is best for portrait 50mm 1.8G or 1.4G?

I'm really confused of whether I should get a Nikkor 50mm 1.8G or 1.4G, the difference in price is huge, and I want to know does the 1.4 worth this price difference ?? I was going to get the 1.8 but I heard that the 1.4 is much better, is that true ?? ..
I'm getting the lens for portrait photography mainly ( including wedding photography ) ..

also, is there is difference in Low Light Performance between the two of them ??

Canon 600D (T3i) vs Nikon D5100?

I'm looking into getting a DSLR camera and I'm trying to decide which one would be best.It'll be my first one and these seem to keep popping up with good reviews.
Now, right off the bat, I would go with the Canon 600D but the price seems quite steep. How does it compare to the Nikon D5100?
I will be using it for both photo and video.
