How to take action photos of dogs in the snow?

Ok - i have tried looking this stuff up on google etc but i need someone to dumb it down for me. I have a NIKON D3000 and the lense I have is 55-300mm. I need to know what the Fstop and shutter speed should be on what settings (Shutter - Priority - Manual and Automatic) when i go to Manual the highest it will let me take the shutter speed is 1/200 and the Fstop the lowest I can get it s 5.6 so i need help if there are other ways to get the shutter speed higher and the fstop lower? lol also the best settings to have th ISO on when your outside taking photos in the snow?

Thank you everyone for your help!

My Nikon D7000 has randomly started making me have to press the shutter button twice?

My Nikon D7000 has randomly started making me have to press the shutter button again after i've already taken a photo?
I think i might have pressed a button or something but every time i take a photo the shutter sound doesnt fully finish, and the screen goes black, so i have to press the shutter button and the shutter sound finishes and the screen isnt black anymore, this hasn't happened to me before and i really need to get it sorted! Please someone help

Does the Nikon D5100 take picture slower in live view v.using the viewfinder?

I just got my camera so I am still in the process of learning the ins & outs.
I was able to figure out how to use the live view way but when I went to take a picture, after focusing, it was considerably slower in taking a photo (& noisier.)

Is that supposed to happen? Just want to make sure it's not something wrong with my camera.
Thanks

Why cant my Nikon D700 control the aperture of my 24-70 f2.8?

I bought a 24-70 f2.8 from ebay. I put it on the D700 and I couldn't see through the view finder or focus because it was to dark.It appeared that the aperture was closed down and the camera was unable to open it up. I took the lens off and fiddled and put it back on again and it started to work.

Yesturday I did a shoot with large external strobes. The camera was set to the correct exposure which was iso 200, ss200, f8 but the image was over exposed. I changed all the settings on the camera going up to f22 and even going into 'P' mode but the exposure of the final image remained in altered.

Anyone know what is going on. Presumably there's a connection problem or the aperture is physically sticking?
