Best payment option for purchasing a Nikon Camera?

My boyfriend is trying to purchase a Nikon D3100 as a Christmas present for me. With Christmas being a month away, and the camera being so expensive, he just can't rack up the money -- money is tight right now. What I'd like to know is if there are any options for monthly payments anywhere? He's tried Walmart, Target, Bestbuy, HHgregg, and we have already checked RAC. He was denied due to lack of credit (he hasn't built any credit yet). Does anyone know any other ways, or have any ideas to help us out? It is not possible to save up the money, or borrow money from someone, or take out a loan. AND, this has to be before Christmas. Help?

How long does it take for a Target order?

I ordered an Ipod touch, 2 cameras. (Nikon and one Canon) and a 83 makeup piece set. I ordered it on the 11/22 but how long does it take for it to come? I tracked my order and it's only half way, so how long do you think it might take?

Opteka 6.5mm f/3.5 on Nikon d3200?

Can I control this lens' aperture from the thumb dial on my Nikon d3200? Or is it a full manual lens? I know the focus is manual, which I don't mind, but if I won't be able to change the aperture from my cameras thumb dial, I would like to know.

Solid standard zoom for a Nikon D300?

Looking for a standard zoom with the holidays approaching; and while my mind is open, I've narrowed my budget down to $400 and under. Some options I've been looking at are Nikon's 18-105mm VR, 18-55mm VR, 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5, as well as Tamron's 28-75 f/2.8 and Sigma's 17-70mm f/2.8-4.

Anyone had experience with any of these lenses?

What are the best bridge cameras (nikon/canon/fujifilm) costing approx. $200-250?

Need a camera for research and home photos.i do not want a DSLR, after doing some study i realized that i have grown-up from the 'point and shoot' level digital cameras but am not into DSLRs yet, unless i want to be professional photographer (that's what i assumed DSLRs are for pros- i do not know if i am right or wrong). should i go for DSLR or bridge camera even though technology changes so fast and i dont have a great job yet so no great pay? which bridge cameras produce the best results? what should i look for in a bridge camera? and as a photography lover would i be able to handle bridge or any DSLR, if i opt for one?

Is Nikon SLR better than Nikon 1?

I want one and dont know which is better so is Nikon slr better than Nikon 1 J1 or Nikon 1 v1 which is best out of all three and please if it's possible can you tell me why it's better Thanx :)

Someone who knows about cameras!

Please help! I am going to buy a nice digital camera but I know nothing about them, from my research I'm thinking a canon is the best brand or maybe even a Nikon? I want something that can take really good professional type pictures but only want to spend a couple hundred dollars, what type of camera should I get? Also is it better to buy it brand new or would it be ok to buy a used one from eBay? Thanks!

Nikon D800 Battery from Amazon?

Hello,
I wanted to buy a spare battery (EN-EL15) for Nikon D800. I searched on local stores and they are selling it in $99. Whereas Amazon.com is selling it in $58 and even in $19 (by Digi Electronics). I want to ask that is it save to buy cheaper from Amazon.com? Save means will I get geniune and original battery in $58 or $16?
P.S. I never buy anything from Amazon.com so is it always reliable to buy stuff from Amazon?

Is any of this photography gear worth anything?

Hi

So my mum knows someone know works at the dump.
Recently he bought her a whole box of photography equipment to give to me.
I've had a very quick google but don't have time to do a proper search.Is any of this stuff useful?
Particularly, can any of it be used and/or used for film making? ie, the light meter?

Which would be the best digital camera or camcorder to record classical music?

I'm trying to get ideas on which would be the best option to record classical music (small ensembles). Some people have suggested Sony bloggie or something similar from Kodak, but I'm not sure. While browsing through some cameras at bestbuy I found the Nikon J1, and the image is very sharp, but I couldn't record anything, so, still don't know! I would like to stay under $500. If someone could recommend a camcorder, digital camera or mic that would do a decent job, it will be highly appreciated!

Help with researching external flash?

Im interested in purchasing an external flash for my nikon d3200. I feel that the on camera flash is so harsh sometimes! My price range is about $100. All suggestions are so appreciated!
Added (1). Thanks daniel :) ill look into that! This might be a silly statement but im afraid to switch up brands on my camera.ive heard some horror stories about people using different brand equipment on their camera and their camera stops working! D:

Seeking advice from photogs?

Hi! Ill start out by saying im a very ametuer and new photographer. Idk if i can even call myself that lol. Well i purchases my nikon d3200 about 3mo ago. I have totally fallen in love with the art! I eat sleep and dream photography. Ive had to teach myself the basics and am starting to understandmore. Ive tried to link up with mostly all photographers in my area and theyre either very short with me or tell me to find a different hobby basically :/. Which gets me to my first question.how can i fins photography workshops in my area? Im a single mother and short on cash so it cant be too expenaive! And for my second question. I have recently had a handful of people request work from me and im not sure how to go about it. I never expected to earn money for my hobby, but a few people are becoming very persistant with me. I have no idea where to start. I know i dont want to have a smallbusiness. I know i dont want to create a website or blog. I dont even want to watermark my photo's.i think it ruins the picture! Do i need to print up a contract? What should it say? Ive founs myself with 3 people waiting for me to get back to them with details about pricing time length and number of pictures. Most people in my area charge $50 for an hour and around 30 photos on a cd. Not many people do prints. I would be interested in having a package for printing. Pleaseee helpppp im so confused idk how i got here!!!

Imconsidering making a post on craigslist but i dont think im comfortable with meeting a stranger through the internet lol. I have repeatedly reffered a woman to other photographers who have more expirience and she says "i dont care i want your pictures." Im still unsure of what to do… But ill definitely keep studying
