Good cheap macro lens?

I liked the Nikkor Micro 40mm, as it is cheap and true macro. But I read since you have to be so close to the subject for 1:1 magnification, you get bad lighting and it is therefore bad for "serious macro photography". One of my friends online has superb pictures of bees and spiders that fill the frame with perfect quality, and he uses a Nikon 50mm v 1.8, with extension tubes. Is that a good choice? Is it better than the 40mm? What are other good options compatible with a D5100 body?

35mm or 50mm f/1.8 lens?

Ok so I just know that
1. I want a prime lens
2. I want it to have at least 1.8 aperture
3. Not too expensive (not sure if possible)

I just want to know the difference between the 35mm and 50mm lens and why one is much more expensive than the other -same thing with the diff between f/1.4 and f/1.8. Also, what do the names 'Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D' and 'Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G, and etc,' mean? I have a nikon D3200 if this helps with anything and with suggestions on prime lens I should get.
Also, please correct me if I'm wrong, but is there a certain kind of lens where you can zoom in a lot to maybe 200mm but also can zoom out to get a low f/stop like 1.8?
Thank you very much if you give me any hard-on detailed answers :)

Would a Nikon Sigma 170-500mm lens fit a Canon 60D?

I have been looking at buying a new camera and the Canon 60d is definitely the one I want to get. But a friend of mine has the Nikon Sigma 170-500 lens and is saving it for me but it didn't fit my previous Nikon camera (which was a Nikon 1 J1) and I was wondering if it would fit a Canon 60D at all? If it will definitely not fit a Canon 60D, do you know of any Nikon cameras that are similar or just as good as the Canon 60D that would fit this lens? Thank you.

What's a decent CF card for Nikon D3?

I have recently upgraded from a Nikon D300 to a D3. I was wondering what sort of CF cards I should get, so I can get speedy performance without breaking the bank.
I currently have a few 4gb Sandisk Ultra II's (15mb/s), though I doubt these are up to it. I'm not sure how big the D3 buffer is, off hand.

I do a lot of birding, so I usually use a fast frame rate. 6-8 fps.

Digital camera focuses-out small far away objects?

My digital camera focuses away small objects like birds when against a mono-colored background (blue sky, grey lake water) as if they were blemishes. How do I adjust the settings to stop it from focusing-out the object I zoomed in on? I can usually see the bird up to a point as I'm zooming, but if I zoom the whole way (my camera goes up to 21x) it goes out of focus or blurs or I don't know what (and usually a few steps back in focus, the bird is too small to see, period). I frequently take bird pictures and often can't get close to them, and this problem happens all the time. I can't find the answer in my manual. The brand is Nikon. It doesn't have add-on lenses.

How to use a old film SLR lens on a DSLR?

Recently I bought a Canon T4i, and I have the kit 18-55mm lens. Before I bought this, I had a old Nikon N50 (film). I realize that a Nikon lens won't work on a Canon body, but I just saw this adapter thing for a Nikon to Canon lens.So my question is will my Tamron 28-200mm Nikon lens work on my Canon T4i, and if so, what adapter do I need.
