For taking pictures w/ friends, outfits, of food, & just stuff.like the ones on tumblr. I like to blog them and I don't know what is best, I've been eyeing on samsung nx1000 camera, and nikon d90 ( I don't know which lens to get ). I have no idea what camera is best for me. I have had digital cameras, & I've used a dslr I've borrowed from a friend, the photos are better than digital cameras.that's why I want to get a camera other than digital.please SUGGEST me cameras.
Added (1). I also like SONY NEX-5 (16mm + 18-55mm) 16.1 mp, CANON REBEL T2i or T3i, the samsung nx1000 has 20-50mm and 20.3 megapixels, and because @clam chowder told me dslr and is very expensive then I won't get a d90 anymore.but I still consider rebel, but I won't be buying other lenses for it.

Do all nikon lenses work with the new nikon 1 series?
The nikon 1 series includes the j1 j2 v1 and v2 and im not sure if the specific lenses for these cameras can be interchanged with lenses from other nikon cameras… Can someone explain this?

Tokina 16-28 vs Nikon 17-35?
Just purchased a Nikon D600 and need something on the wide end. Can't afford the 14-24mm right now, but want to purchase a wide angle lens that can also double as a walk around. I just switched from DX to full frame. Used to have the tokina 11-16 and it was one of my favorite lenses, but didn't get as much use as I wanted.So was thinking with the longer 35mm I can use that along side of my 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, and 80-200.

What lens shall I buy for my Nikon D3100?
I have Nikon D3100 and I currently use the 18-55mm lens that came with the camera when I first got it.
I like to take many different photographs. I take a lot of long exposure shots at night time, I like to capture fog and snow, i like bokeh pictures and nature shots. I do take pictures of people but not a great amount.
I would also love to be able to capture the moon and stars better if possible.
I also find with the current lens i have (18-55mm) when I take a picture of someone, the background isn't blurred enough.
I take my pictures in natural light 90% of the time.

I'd appreciate it if someone could give me a list of lenses that are compatible with my camera and give me a reason for each lens and what it's specifically good for.

I want a camera, but which one?
So, Christmas/Hanukkah is coming up soon, and whether or not I get a camera, I'm saving money to get one just in case. But I've been looking into them and I can't find one I want. I don't want a camera that's bulky, big, and heavy. I've mostly been looking at Canon DSLR's and the lens look a little long but I don't know for sure. They look like what I want, but I don't know if it would fit it my hand well. I have about a 6 inch long hand and about 4 inches across my palm. I'm sticking to the Canon's though because I couldn't find any Nikon's that I like, neither Sony's. If you have suggestions, please, let me know!

Laptop wont recognize micro sd/sd card?
Okay so i just got a micro sd card with an adapter so it would be easier to put music on my blackberry without taking the cord out every time. But i went to put the adapter in and nothing pops up. I also tried my sd card that i have for my nikon d3100 and now it wont recognize that card either and it has since last year.could it be because my laptop just did an update or something.btw i have an hp pavilion g6.

I'm trying to record videos on my Nikon D3100 but after a few seconds it is showing me an error:

Could anyone please help me?
Added (1). EDIT: It works fine on 720p video recording but stops after just a few secs on 1080p recording.

Looking for DSLR for indoor ballet & outdoor sports?
Trying to get a DSLR that can grow with my family. Need to get good photos for indoor/low light Ballet and also for football games/action shots.My current camera is starting to go, so I need something new. Not a pro but have an older Sony Digital, built-in lens, that I've been pushing and setting to get pretty good quality low-light no flash pics. I've been able to get only as high as 5 x 7 prints on those before it gets way too grainy. Takes good videos, too.
My father has a Nikon telephoto lens so I'm leaning towards Nikon, but frankly I need something sturdy that is somewhat weather proof, takes great action shots and won't kill my wallet. Want to stay below $800. TIA.

Is there a problem with my nikkor lens?
I just bought a new Nikkor 35mm f.18 lens.Is the focus ring supposed to turn forever, or it supposed to stop? I can keep turning mine with no stop to it.
