How to know if an old lense is compatible with my DSLR?

I found an old lens at a thrift store today. It had a small paper with details on the lens. It's a Nikura 1:3.9 70-210mm Auto Macro Zoom Lens. I have a Nikon D5100 and I wanted to use it with it, but I wasn't sure if it would work or if it would damage my camera in any way. The lens was purchased by the original owner in 1986, so it's pretty old.

Compare the Nikon 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6D Lens with the Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G?

I'm trying to decide which one to buy! I have a Nikon D3000, and I am VERY new to photography so any input would be helpful. I haven't really researched the Nikon 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6D Lens so I'm not even sure if it's compatible or if it's what I'm looking for. Any advice is helpful!

Additional information:
I'm looking for a lens that will give me more zoom. I don't need PERFECT quality photos, but decent quality would be nice.

Pentax k-r or Pentax K-30?

Well I want to buy a begginer camera and I don't want a Nikon or Canon their too mainstream in my opinion, when someone asks me about my camera and I say Pentax I don't want them to know! :D and in Turkey people only know Sony, Nikon and Canon
Anyways:
Which is better for a beginner a Kr or the K30? also I heard and read that since Ricoh bought Pentax that Pentax is going to decline in sales etc.and just go bankrupt, is that true and ıf so will that affect my Camera if I buy it?

Nikon d5100 bracketing help?

So I am having trouble with my nikon d5100.It is bracketing automatically, even when I don't hold down the shutter. For every three pictures, even if they are of diffferent things, it still is bracketing somehow. The first one will be underexposed, second normal, and third, overexposed. I do not want to be auto bracketing every time I shoot, and Im having trouble making it so that sometimes its on, sometimes its off. Any suggestions?

Taking long exposure photos!

Ok I am learning to do long exposure photos. I have my Nikon D5200, my tripod, my remote control, and my Hama natural density filter; I watched the Scott Kelbys instructional video on long exposure and followed all his steps but my photos were either all black or all white or just really bad… my first concern is with my natural density filter, idk if this is how it should be (I doubt it) but when I put it to maximum there are like two spots that somehow are not dark, it's so frustrating!!! And of course if I don't put it to max my photo turns all white… Second idk whether I set up my camera properly… I shoot in RAW, I put my ISO to 100, my exposure compensation to 0, my shutter speed to "bulb" and my aperture to 11. PLEASE tell me where I am wrong!!!
