You may have seen my post last night about buying a new camera.i am looking into the d3200 body only.i would love to get a pro lens but not sure what i really have to look for! i just need one about 18-55.i had a pro lens in the past and it was a 55-200 or something.not what i need.i need something closer.but im not sure on all he name terms lol i would like the cheapest ones as its just for home and hobbie.but im over the silly kit lenses.

Which would you get, a .308 or 30-06?
I'm going to get a new rifle before deer season, It's possible that I'll get one before the summer because I do have extra cash at the moment. I'm just not sure which caliber to get.
I think this is the rifle I want, I will go shoulder all the well known rifles before buying one, but this looks like a good deal to me. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/78193
It comes topped with a Nikon so I shouldn't need to upgrade for a long time.
The uses for the rifle are mainly target shooting, deer hunting and hog hunting. Hog is open season and deer hunting is from August to January, so we have a long season and I will be in the woods a lot, so I want a rifle I can count on and last me a few decades, I figure the Savage fits that bill.

Best lens for night photography?

Mirrorless Cameras: Are they good investment?
The following questions I ask because as they say, "knowledge is power". And the idea of a DSLR type camera only smaller sounds ideal to me.
I have seen so far 3 mirrorless cameras that I like. Canon EOS-M, Sony NEX-7, and Olympus OM-D EM-5.
1) Are the lenses for these or all mirrorless cameras able to use on the any updated version? Say I invest in the NEX-7 and get a good lens, will I be able to use the lens if they make a NEX-8? Well, the only way to know this is if you can use the lenses of the previous model that came before NEX-7 on the NEX-7.
I know more about DSLRs then I know about mirrorless cameras. I know I can invest in lenses on and Canon and Nikon. But what about mirrorless cameras like the 3 I mentioned?
2) What about a life of a mirrorless camera? I know that with DSLRs they have an idea of what is expected with those "shutter cycles test". But what about mirrorless cameras?

Is the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX200 Good?
I want it, i like the 50x zoom, options/features the and the 20 megapixels. Can you tell me the bad, like i see some nikon cameras and they are 700$ for like 4x zoom and 16 mega pixels why are they so pricey? Do you think it is good, what do you think is better? What do you WANT and what do you have. I love you.

Nikon d3100 battery suddenly wont charge?
I recently borrowed my friend's Nikon d3100. He was kind of iffy about letting me borrow it, but I finally convinced him to. I was using the camera fine and not mishandling or mistreating it in anyway. I used the camera until it said that the battery was too low to keep taking videos, so I turned it off, and went back to my house. I took the battery pack out and put it in the wall charger. I let it charge overnight and then the next day I went to get it of the charger, but then I noticed that the 'still charging' light was still blinking. I even let it charge all day today, but when I tried to use it again, it still said that the battery was too low to do anything and that I needed to charge it.So now I might have to buy my friend a new battery pack because it just crapped out on me out of nowhere.Is there anything that might have caused this, or a way to fix it maybe? I would appreciate any feedback because I really don't want to have to buy my friend, who barely trusted me with his camera, a new battery pack.

Nikon 18-200mm vs Nikon 18-300mm vs Tamron 18-270mm?
Hey--
So I'm going on a cruise to Alaska soon and thought it would be a good incentive to buy a new all in one lens around the 18-200/300 range (I have been looking for a while for a good all in one option). I posted a question similar to this about two other lenses but had some more come into the picture. Now I officially have these as my options. I added the Tamron because I'm on a budget (If I were to be honest I'm 14 and buy my lenses off money from odd jobs and allowance) and looking for a cheap option for an all in one lens. The two Nikon lenses are on the steep side ($500 on Amazon and $900 retail) so I would like to hear an answer that's similar to "Go for Tamron." However I want a good quality lens and I'm assuming that's the Nikon but I've heard other wise.

How to set my Canon T3i into IR mode?
I just got a wireless shutter remote from best buy, and it says to set my SLR to IR mode. I don't know how to set it.the wireless remote is a plain rocket-fish remote.
i asked them if it would be compatible, they said yes, but im having second thoughts because the package says it's compatible with most Nikon SLRS.
