I am going to be making a professional video for my friends company and I wanted to know what camera you think I should buy and why? I am more focused on videotaping than taking photography…

I am just starting out with my own photography business and I was to build my lens collection with some good lenses! I only have the kit lens that came with my Nikon D5100 and a 55mm lens! There is this one photographer who does excellent pictures and I would like to get your input on some lenses that would be good to help me get pictures like hers!

How to figure out what kind of camera i need?

Im looking to get a Nikon, but there are so many models, and im on a bit of a budget. I want to take photos of wildlife, my aquarium and plants.im thinking i will need to choose a lens as well. What do you use? how much did it cost?

Need tips for taking good low-light pictures with a nikon d3200?

I recently bought a Nikon D3200 and am currently new to the photography world. I was experiencing the camera in different light situations but when I came to a low light area or room, the pictures would come out: 1- brighter than what I wanted it to be, taking out the dramatic low light I wanted and 2- came out all grainy with a lot of noise.So how do I set the apertures and shutter speed and modes? Or should I change the camera??? Because I wanted dramatic low light pictures taken w/o flash so any tips to shooting those kinds of images would be grand.

I feel really bad & guilty?

Sorry. I wasn't sure what section to put it in.

I accidently broke my $300 Nikon camera.My parents bought me the camera for my birthday during the Summer.
I was swinging the camera around & walking downtown to take pictures for my photography class, & I didn't realize that I was walking past a garbage can, when I hit it w/ the camera screen. The damage on the screen is the size of a dime, but now the screen doesn't function properly. Half of the screen is white & black & doesn't show the image, while the rest of the screen works just fine.

We got the camera from Costco & it's been 3 days past the 90 day warranty. Soo I can't return it to Costco & I'm pretty sure Nikon won't replace it since I damaged it on personal use. Now I feel bad, clumsy, & stupid. I don't think I want to ask anything for Christmas since it was my fault. I think instead I'll just give my parents the rest of my money instead to pay them back. Nikon would FIX the camera w/ me paying if it's fixable, right? My cameras never broke before, so I'm not sure on how it works.

If i pay through paypal will they help me reconver my money if it ends up being a scam?
Added (1). Sorry i should have mentioned that i know this particular site is a scam, they ask for Westernunion Payment. But i mean other websites. I generally go buy if theyre with paypal or not.

My Camera Lens is stuck! - 1

I'm using a Nikon D3100 with the Nikkor 50mm 1.8d lens, and the lens won't come off the body!

I don't know if I just got a faulty lens, or if I'm doing something wrong, but I'm removing it in the same way that I've done with all of my other lenses: pressing down the release button and twisting in the direction that brings the two white dots together. I've been trying to get it off for days, and I've been very careful not to pull or grip it too hard.
It just won't let go! What do I do?

I have a nikon d90, and obviously that camera does not work with an external mic/boom, so whats a recomended microphone i can use on the side, and can sync up later with the movie file.a portable mic thats good for small band rehersal enviorment

Alright, I am looking for a camera, mainly for photography purposes. Video-taping would be nice but it's not a priority.So far I like the brands Nikon and Canon, though my friend [who is a camera nerd, has currently 2 and her dad has one worth around 1-2k]. She suggests I get a Nikon.

I am using my Nikon F70 (35ml film camera) and I want to take a continuous fast shot… I have been playing around with it and researching and have found that if i make the shutter speed faster it will obviously shoot faster! but as the shutter will be open for a shorter time there will be less light for the camera so i am wondering if i need to lower the aperture and make the aperture "whole" bigger so more light goes in? I just need some guidance on the whole issue… i have it current set on a shot speed of 100/1 so 100th of a second and it shoots fast! im just wondering what the aperture should be at and whether it would get good photos? any advice on the matter would help lots! thansk

Is Nikon's 50mm my best option?

I'm looking at getting a 50mm for Christmas. I want to start doing more portraits, but I'm still finding "myself" within Photography. I have a D5100. I need a "cheaper" lens too.
Like I said, I want one that's going to work well in low light (like concerts), and portraits, but also just in general.
