Does the nikon d3200 take better crisp pictures then its new competitors?

I was looking on flikr.com and looking at the color brightness in pictures from different cameras. The d3200 has sharp pictures and a lot of color rather then the d5100 and d5200.It's like those two models which are alot newer seems to lack color. And since I'm not a person who edits pictures that kinda stuff matters to me. Also the canon t3i seems to have alot if color and sharpness the d5100 And d5200 dnt have. I do like the swivel screen on the canon t3i as well that the d3200 does not have. But dnt think canon has wifi, I am not a photographer and noise and white balance are not a big deal to me, I see a picture for its color and sharpness and not to far in detail. Nikon says it has better color depth but I dnt see how when pictures look like its lacking color. And also on flikr.com I can tell which picture have been edited so makes the landscape pictures look unreal for most edited pics. For a normal person who just wants a dslr camera for family pictures and family portraits what is the smarter choice when it comes to better color and sharpness? Please don't make this confusing for me, try and take a normal person who knows nothing about photography's point of view and let me know what is best for me… I'm having the hardest time choosing bc of so many different reviews, also Pentax k30 is out I'm not a fan of the body look and just don't care for it.

DSLR Lens for close up videography?

I just bought a Nikon d5200 and it is my first DSLR camera. I bought it primarily for video and have the 18-55mm and 55-300mm. I am really interested in artisitc videography so I need a lense that is capable of autofocusing to a moving subject at close range, any suggestions? I was looking at the 35mm for shots that aren't tracking a subject, but would it work well for what I am describing? When I shoot video on auto with my 18-55mm and it is within the 8 feet range it is all junk, I kind of want something to pick up from there. Any suggestions or other ideas?

Do you have a refurbished D7000?

If yes, can you please check if the serial number has a B on the end. According to the Nikon tech guy, if there's a B on the end of the serial number, it's refurbished. Just making sure. Thanks!

On a Nikon D3100 camera, when I take out the battery to charge, will my pictures be lost?

I have two batteries. I was just wondering if I have to save my pictures on to a computer before I change the battery?

Nikkor 10-30mm lens displaying lens error?

Hi,

I've got a Nikon 1 J1 camera which I've had for about a year now.It came in a starter kit with a 10-30mm Nikkor lens-which has worked fine until now.

I'm no camera buff-just wanted a better than average camera for some good holiday shots, so I'm as dumb as dumb can get in the camera world other than taking a few good shots here and there.

Whilst on my last holiday it started displaying "lens error-contact a nikon authorised service centre" whenever it was switched on. I've managed to narrow this down to when the zoom on the lens is set at around 14. I can switch the camera on using the zoom, turning it to max zoom, and when I zoom out and it hits 14 the error message comes up. Until this point I can capture photos but once the error message comes up I have to switch off and on again.

I've tried wiping the little connector blobs between the camera and lens which hasn't helped.

I've tried wiggling the zoom when extended as advised by another website but still nothing.

Average quote for it to just be looked at is £90 --!

Also I no longer have my receipt for it so don't know if Nikon will help yet.

Ay sensible advice is welcome-I really need some help on this one.

Can you change exposure while recording with a Nikon D5100?

I know a lot of DSLR's allow you to turn the dial command to change the exposure while recording. I tried this with my Nikon and nothing changed. I can only change it when I'm not.Is it possible to change the settings to do this?
