Canon Powershot SX50 HS vs Canon T3 vs Nikon D3100?

All of these are around my budget ($400). Please dont recommend any other cameras espically above the 400 mark.

A good affordable camera?

I'm really beginning to get into photography and really want a proper camera, you know the big black ones with the big lenses like the professionals use. I have £350. Are there any good cameras for a budding photographer? I've heard that the Nikon D60, Sony DSLR A390L and
Fujifilm FinePix HS30EXR are good. Any help?

Nikon 1 J2 - which mode/settings work best when shooting a group of people?

Also I would really appreciate it if someone would give me some tips on how to get the best results when shooting people or objects in low-light conditions (e.g.fluorescent lighting - I HATE THE YELLOW/ORANGE TINGE, (flash does help but not always). I would also appreciate some tips when using a tripod, too.

Need help deciding lenses.?

Ok, I am getting back into photography after 20 or so years and know little about the newer cameras. I just purchased a Nikon D7100 with the 55-300mm lens and need help on one for indoor/low light applications. I'm looking more for a general purpose lens that I can use inside, close range and in low lighting. This is what I'm considering:

Nikon - AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR Telephoto Zoom Lens (Got this with the camera)
Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G AF-S Lens for Nikon DSLR

Any opinions or suggestions? I don't get my camera till Friday and want to make sure I have2 general purposes lenses.

Thanks for the reply. I was actually looking for a 18-55mm but had a bad time finding one in Nikon with AR. The 50mm will be a general purpose but I want something effective in low lighting. I really don't want to spend too much more but I don't want to waste money either.

I just got the l820 and I wanted to take those pictures of writing with lights and sparklers. I know how to change the exposure but I don't know what to change it to. Also people are satin something about the shutter? Anyway, please just tell me how to do these pictures thanks!

Will the 55-300mm & 50mm prime nikkor lenses be good enough for a Nikon D5100?

I got my Nikon D5100 body & am searching for a good wide angle lens & a prime lens. I can spend about Rs.30, 000(550 $). Both the lenses should satisfy my needs. I wanted to consider the 50mm prime lens & 55-300VR. Help me choose if there;s something better than the latter!

Where can i buy a nikkormat manual film camera?

Im new to photography and im taking a class that requires me to have a 35mm fully manual slr camera.my teacher recommends a pentax1000 but i really have my heart set on a nikon nikkormat camera.there are no shops near me that would have one so im looking online.the problem is im on a tight budget and cant spend too much on the camera.also i would prefer if i could find one that is being sold with a 50mm lens.so my question is what are some good websites to buy this type of camera from for a reasonable price besides ebay, amazon, and HBPhotography?

New camera? uncertain what to do?

I have a Canon Eos Kissx4, which is the japanese version of the Rebel t2i. I am happy with its performance, having bought it for about $600 with a double lens kit about a year and a half ago. Now, my brother is looking for a used camera, and has offered to buy mine for $300 and I would upgrade to either a Nikon D 3200 or a higher-level Canon. Not sure if I want to yet. Thoughts?
