How to fix brightness error on nikon d5100?

How to fix brightness error on nikon d5100?
Added (1). I have had this camera for a long time, but it was broken accidentally a while ago. I sent it to Nikon to be fixed. I haven't used it much until now. Every picture that I take outdoors with auto is too white. You cant even see the whats in the picture. Unless I go somewhere hidden from the sun light the pictures still come out too white. I know I can fix this by using changing the settings manually, but most times I just like to use auto. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Best Nikon Lens for group shots?

Hello, let me first start by saying that i'm not a professional photographer. I'm just a guy with a camera who likes to take pictures. My son has asked me to come and take some group (up to 21 people) and individual pictures of his high school cross country team. I really need some advice on the lenses I should use.
Nikon D5000
Current lenses I own:
Nikon 18-55 kit - 3.5-5.6
Nikon 70-300 kit - 4.5-5.6
Nikon 50mm 1.8 g
Nikon 35mm 1.8 g
I'll most likely use the 50mm for the individual up close shots but i'm not sure what to use for the group shots and what aperture to use either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Nikkor 50mm 1.8D manual focus on film camera?

I have a Nikon FG film camera and I need a prime lens for it. What comes to my mind is the 50mm 1.8D because it's relatively cheaper compared to those classic heavy vintage (and great btw) lenses.

My question is, is the manual focus of the 1.8D "fine" enough to be used on a full-manual focus camera? Thanks!

Digital or film photography?

ok so my film camera (Nikon FA) just broke - the shutter is all messed up and i figured I could just buy a new film camera for the price it would cost to fix the shutter. It was second hand from a relative (who hadn't used it in 20 years) and i had only used 2 rolls of film (haven't processed yet tho.) now, i was wondering if i should just go digital and buy a beginner DSLR or purchase another film camera? I already have a 50mm Nikkor (idk how to spell it) lens, so would it be compatible with any other Nikon camera? Or should i just buy a beginner DSLR which is compatible with the lens i already have and buy one of those lomography cameras to mess around with using film? Help please, idk what to do? Thanks

Nikon FA suddenly broke?! Help?

ok so I just finished a roll of film and I unloaded it out of the camera. I was playing around with the various shutter speeds without any film (I was bored) I undid the back of the camera and noticed that one of the shutter curtains was wonky so I gently prodded it back into place. I then resumed to play around with different shutter speeds but the shutter would not fire at all?! I then tried to advance the "film" but it didn't work?! If my Nikon fa was a computer, I would say that it appears to be frozen. I looked through the view finder and I all could see was black. The LCD screen wasn't working at all. I then took the battery out and placed it back in again. Still not working. I got this camera secondhand from a relative about 2 months ago (they haven't used it in 20 years) I had shot 2 rolls of film but haven't had them developed. My question is: does anyone know what could be wrong with my Nikon fa camera?! I included some pictures of the inside for you to see. Thanks:)Nikon FA suddenly broke Help
