Nikon d7000 Auto Focus Problems!

Just got a brand new Nikon d7000 less than a week ago and today all of a sudden out of the blue the AutoFocus does not work. Won't focus and if you try and press the shutter it won't take pics either. Manual focus works fine. What is going on? Any suggestions on what might have happened!

I'm using the Nikon d7000 with the 18-105mm VR lens. Both the auto focus button on the camera and on the lens are clicked to auto focus but it won't work. If I switch the buttons to manual it works fine. Brand new camera… any help would be appreciated! Thanks

What type of lens do i need?

I currently own the Nikon D5100 with an 18-55 lens and i am interested in purchasing a lens with a better zoom, and by zoom i mean being able to capture things that are far away not line zooming way into a flower. What type of lens would best fit my needs and is not too expensive (less than $300)

About 6 months ago, I was on Xanax bars with a friend and we were bored walking around my neighborhood. Then we took another two and after that everything was a blur. Well, when i woke up the next day i heard that when I was on bars i was around my other friends house with no one inside, so i decided to sneak in (mind you this is what my friend that i took bars with told me) and i found the kitchen window open so i went in and i took water for myself and gave my friend that was outside and i went back inside looking for something, Idk what. Going through my friends room i broke his Nikon camera by dropping it on the floor, i guess i panicked and left.but when i was leaving, his neighbor saw the whole thing saying i broke in and was gonna call the cops so i ran. The next day i woke up and i found out he didn't call the cops but told my friend and his mom. They got mad and he said i took two bags of quarters and broke their camera and why i did it? I then told them what happened and that i didn't take anything because the neighbor saw me walk out with nothing and the neighbor approved. Now we have been talking and he kind of forgave me but said i have to buy him a new camera lens which was $400, i told i don't have the money for that, i'll pay for a repair. He said okay and weeks later lying to me saying that he repaired it and it cost 300$ so i told him to show me the reciept and he refused so i didn't believe him and told him i'll pay him when he shows me a receipt. He was lying and showed me a reciept after a month which said 120$ so i said okay i'll pay you but it'll take time because my mom doesn't know and i don't want her to.So he gave me time and i havent' payed him yet but i'm gonna pay him at the end of this month when i get my paycheck form my new job at publix. Now he's threatening me if i dont pay him by next week he'll call the cops and send me to small claims court. What can the cops do? Can they arrest me for something that happened 6 months ago? What can they charge me with? I'm scared.

How to build your own underwater housing unit for your camera?

I have a Nikon D3000 and don't want to spend a lot of money on an underwater housing unit but would like to take some under water shots. I was thinking going out in the surf and taking pictures of my friends surfing and boogie boarding.It does not need to be able to go to deep just enough for me to dive under waves if necessary maybe 20 feet. Any suggestions on how to build one. Links, videos, anything. Thank you.

Is there anyway to force advance the film on a Nikon F70 camera?

I recently acquired this camera and it was working fine for the first few exposures, however since the fifth snap the camera has insisted that it has reached the end of the film which it has not. Thanks for the help ahead of time!

Do wide angle (Nikon) lenses offer a significant benefit over compact zoom lenses?

My Nikon 12mpix L105, a Black Friday 100$ special, has a 15x Nikkor wide optical zoom vr lense. Happy enough with it. If I purchased another model with a "regular" lense, let's say also 15x (though if I trade up I'll likely want more zoom), would there be any difference in my photos? I am not a photographer in any sense. Just wondering. More convenient to have a smaller camera (I'm tired of clutter, only want 1 of anything, I've contemplated just buying a 2nd). Decided not to buy a dslr anytime soon.As I said I'm not a photographer.

Witch speedlight is better and why?

I would like to get a speedlight. I like to do nature photography and I do not need something that great.

The Yongnuo YN-468 II or the Yongnuo YN-560 II

You can give me some technical reasons. I'm fairly good with camera knowledge.
The Yn-468 II it an i-TTL flash. I shoot with a Nikon D3100.
the Yn-468 II has a trigger voltage of 3.3 volts.Is that right?
I like to work with available light and do not need the best in the west. :)
