Would Nikon j1 be allowed in Arena?

I'm going to see Cody Simpson & the rules are that you can't take a professional camera. & it has to be a Small point & shoot camera to get a photo with Cody. Could I get away with it if I took my Nikon j1 with the small lens on it ?

Nikon D80 review screen has an overlay that stays on when reviewing pictures?

When reviewing pictures that I've taken, a screen of specs and other words stays on. I can't see the picture behind it. How can I get that screen to disappear?

Have they sorted out the hit and miss AF system on the Nikon D7000 yet? just wondering.

A huge chaos in my life and I need an advice?

So I wanna but a camera and its been 2 months and I wanted it but in fact my dad said no for unless I bring high grades and he told me this while its the end of the year. I'm a15 years old girl and I want to bring the camera and that's driving me crazy and actually my grades are low because the exams are so hard in my school. Last Wednesday they brought us a grammar exam and its 21 pages plus its super hard and everybody failed. And that's one of the final exams. And the same with my brother but he's on grade 11 SAT. And they brought for him an English exam and they all failed and they repeated the exam twice but my brother and his friends are the only 2 who didn't fail. What should I do to convince them to bring me a camera I had a discussion with like 2 and he said no and I asked them why he said no damn reason then I said okay. And I went to my room to cry. And he came after me and started laughing and making fun of me. Seriously??! Who the hell does that! I asked them to bring me the camera in my birthday they said no and my birthday actually passed in May10. I told him I'm going to buy it from my own money he said no. Why? I just wanna know why is he doing this to me? And he told me if I tried to talk about it again me he'll hit me and punish me and he said if I didn't concentrate in school he'll get me out of schoo land work as a Nany and bring the money for him plus he'll keep on abusing me ?! That's abnormal.My friends even made a surprise party for me and they bought the camera for me and then they took it back because only one of my friends who paid for it. And NOW. Nothing… Summer is coming and I'm currently living in Jeddah but I'm Canadian so I'll travel to Canada in June 10. .I have only 1 day to buy a camera. What should I do??! Help please? ~Danielle

Ps. I have my own money and he still don't want me to buy a camera.(Nikon D3200)

Should i sell my nikon 55-200 dx lens?

Hi… i am thinking to sell my nikon nikkor 55-200 dx lens to save some money to buy new lens.i have nikon d3100.the new lens i am interested on buying is a prime lens or wide angle lens..is there a lens that can be also prime and wide angle? no right… am not sure if i should keep my 55-200 lens? which are good reasons to keep it? what am trying to say is it an important lens that someone has to have in his/her gear?..whats your thoughts? thank you

The thing is i am not really using my 55-200 lens that much..Which lens are ideal fro this kind of photography as mentioned above..thank you

Manual auto focus tips on DSLR?

Hi. I just bought Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D Lens for my Nikon D3100
When I got it I realized that it doesn't auto focus heh :) My first camera, so…
I now understand that I should've bought AF-S lens which is twice the price. I could send it back, but I'm going on a trip so I don't have a time.
I also read that there are some people who use ONLY manual lenses on their DSLR's because they think it's even better, but why exactly?
So could you, please, guide me through this. Tell me everything that a person should know about manual focusing and what makes it easier. Parallel to this I'm also reading articles about manual focusing, but rare and subjective tips would be in a gold's value. Give me everything you got :)
Added (1). UPD: Also I can't seem to change Aperture.It tells me to lock on 22(highest number).Is it possible to change that?

Street, urban, interior, architec… photography. Best lens for this kind of photography?

I have nikon d3100..interested in street/urban, interior, architecture photography..Which lenses are better for this kind of photography… can i buy for example one lens that covers all this kinds of photography or at least some of them..Yes i am still learning sorry if my question sounds a bit.
Need your thoughts, would appreciate it..many thanks

Does eBay really hold funds after you sell an item?

So I'm planning to sell my Nikon DSLR on ebay for atleast $500-600. And after I get the money I want to immediately buy a Canon. I've never sold anything before and I already have positive reviews as a buyer.
