I have a Nikon FM and I have some film in it now and the film is Kodak Gold.but I'm leaving in two days to go take pictures with this camera and I don't have time to order anything offline. Does WalMart sell it? Or CVS? Or anything like that?
I don't know much about camera's either, so try to keep things simple.;p

Should i shoot in raw or jpeg?
So tomorrow is my birthday and im getting the nikon d3200 (with 18-55mm kit lens), the camera has a 24mp sensor so the files will be large anyway.i know the quality is better and the flexibility of a raw file is greater however a raw file of 24mp will take up a lot of memory (around 50-60mb i think).so should i sacrifice the quality and shoot in jpeg to allow more photos.or should i buy an external hard drive/usb to save raw files onto instead.and could someone also tell me what the difference is as well.thank you :)

Cameras and photography?
My mom has a nikon dslr D3000. I understand there's never anything wrong with the camera but the person who's using it. But, the photo quality on it is extremely fuzzy. I know it can be adjusted or fixed and I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem or knows how to fix it. I don't remember the camera coming with bad photo quality so I think my dad may have done something(he's clueless when it comes to cameras) and my mom might have also, help?

Does EXPEED 3 affect the final RAW image or only the in camera JPEG?
I'm wondering if the image processing engine (in my case, EXPEED from Nikon) affect how much noise will appear in the RAW file itself, the color rendering, etc.
I'm not talking about the JPEG, I know the JPEG is definitely affected. Any thoughts from people who have experimented or who know, very much appreciated.

I want to get an SLR but which!
I'm not a photographer, but I am trying to get into journalism - so who knows when I might need a camera!
I don't want one of those little digital things. I have never liked them. I have been looking at getting an SLR for about 4 years now. I plan to take a 3 week trip to LA in 2 years time, after I have graduated university and I will want to take some nice photos for that.
I don't want the absolute bottom of the range SLR but I obviously don't need anything too fancy. I have looked at a few Nikon and Canon EOS cameras but all the technical wording goes straight over my head.
I'm a student so I am pretty poor.My parents aren't well off in the slightest and cannot help me at university, so they will not be able to help with this. I am willing to live off the bare minimum for a while in order to purchase an SLR…
I think my budget will be around £300/£400.
Any help?

Hello everyone,
I'm in need of a new camera, but I'm not exactly sure what to go for.
I don't need anything fancy, I'm just looking for a decent and easy-to-use camera.
I want to use it to take pictures outside (in daylight), and to take close up pics of smaller objects (such as jewelry).
I did a little research about the differences between superzooms and SLRs but I'm still not sure which one to pick, and what I should pay attention to when buying either one of these.
When do I buy an SLR and when do I buy a superzoom?
I'm currently comparing the Nikon D3100 (+18-55 mm VR) and the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ150.
Can anyone give me some advice or share their experience?

DSLR cameras: Cannon or Nikon?
I want to buy a DSLR camera and I cant choose between the canon rebels(if so which one) or the Nikon(I was thinking either the d3100, d5100, or any other suggestions. I want to be able to take great photos as well as video. Please suggest others if you know of any good ones.

I grabbed my husbands Nikon by mistake instead of my own. He has his set to NEF. I ended up getting some great shots, but I need to convert them to jpg. We just bought LR4 so I'm not exactly sure how to convert them. Any suggestions or advice? Thanks.
