What different sigma 70-200mm?

What different sigma 70-200 are there and what is the difference
Iam winging a new 70-200mm 2.8 for my nikon D90 and can not spend £1600 for a Nikon one so I like the sigma's
But what one I don't now !!!
Can any one plz tell me what difrent ones are there out there ??
On eBay there is sooooo meny and the prices go from £110 - £2000 what can worent that much difrents and do I need it ??

i want the camera for taking family photos which include kids, so it will need to e fast, also, i dont want it to have use of normal batteries that you buy in a regular store as the cameras seem to be very hard on them.i was told nikon was a good make.

Nikon D5100, shutter speed won't go below 1/200?

I use a nikon d5100, i never tried taking pictures in fast shutter speed, but now im trying to.and i realized the camera wont let me decrease beyond 1/200. And I thought the camera is capable of up to 3200 or some such. I tried in full manual mode too.
any help?

Hello i just took some photos off my nikon d90 camera so i can edit them and fix them up now i would like to know is it possible to get my fixed up/redone photos back to my nikon d90 camera? i know i can put them on USB's but atm my pc is not wanting to read my USB or even my ipod but my camera etc works fine when i take photos out to edit them so anyone know if i can do this?

How big of a difference are cross type points on DSLR?

I'm considering the Nikon D5100 after not being able to afford the Canon T4i.
I read online some people complaining about the D5100's AF point and how it's "disgusting", and that it only has one cross-type focus point?

How much of a difference is having 1 vs 9 cross type focus points? Is it just that it's easier to use, or does it produce a better image?

In those images the 60D ones look really bad compared to the D5100, especially the color and contrast of the ocean. Are they accurate or was it just the person using it that messed up?

Can the human eye detect this difference in the screen resolution?

The website I got that info from states that the 1, 040k dots resolution screen makes it easier to tell if the image is accurately focused.

Ok so i have the nikon d3100 and the kit 18-55mm lens but i am shooting a wedding in january im not calling my self a wedding photographer but i heard the minimal lens that you need is a

normal lens
zoom lens of some sort
and a 50mm

so i have the normal lens

SD memory card damaged?

I was recording videos, then when I went to upload them to my computer it my camera (Nikon D5100) showed a message that said I couldn't use the card because it was damaged. I know that I have to format the memory card now to get it working but neither my pc and mac detected the memory card.so how can I format it if the computer doesn't detect there is a memory card ?! What camera solution for filming snowboarding?

I have a Nikon d3200 but no waterproof case for it. Should I search around and buy a waterproof case, stabilizing rig (handle or other) and a good fisheye lens or would it be more in my interest (and cheaper?) to buy the new GoPro Hero 3 for filming snowboarding?

Possible battery leak inside Nikon F-501?

I recently was given my Grandad's old camera a Nikon F-501, and he was always one for looking after his things so there is no problem with anything on the camera, except because he has been sadly gone since 2001, I guess the camera has just sat since then.

I opened up the battery compartment and there were the old batteries still in there, around the end of one was a crust which I guess was where a battery had leaked and then been left to dry? My Nan wouldn't have at any point looked or opened the camera, I replaced the batteries after cleaning up the crust, but there is no life in the camera.

Would the battery leak probably have ruined the internals of the camera? I can't get any signal from it no matter what I try, I'm new to the photography world so I don't really know what to try, so any help would be appreciated.

Looking to buy a DSLR camera for the first time - any recommendations please?

I'm beginning in digital photography, and I'm really enjoying it so far. I've started saving money to buy a DSLR but I have no idea which one I should buy. I've been borrowing my dad's Canon 350D (his friend gave it to him a while back so it's about 5 years old) and we're both still learning it.

I asked my teacher (who's a pro photographer) for a recommendation and she's a Nikon girl, haha.but she said to just read up specs on them.

I'm still learning so I don't know all the terms yet, but I'd like a DSLR camera (any brand but I did learn on a Canon) that I can learn on. Any recommendations for me please?

Nikon D5100 lenes? Amazing quality?

I have the default lens that comes with my Nikon and a telescopic Nikor lens… I LOVE the quality of the telescopic lens but it's sort of hard to use when doing profiles so I just want a standard lens that will preform great quality like that one… Would a 50mm work good? I do a lot of nature shots and take pictures of models and what not.

New Nikon lenses on old Nikon film SLRs?

I'm fairly certain I already know the answer but I'm just looking for some confirmation. I know that using old manual focus lenses on Nikon DSLRs isn't recommended since they can't meter, but on the other hand, most new Nikon lenses will work fine on old film SLRs, correct? Will there be any performance differences / issues (not including autofocus capability for very old bodies)? And also, how would DX lenses perform on film SLRs — would FX lenses be the only viable option? I would be looking to get lenses that work well both on film and digital SLRs.

An aside, what would be a good, mechanical Nikon film SLR? Preferably metal-body and very durable.

New DSLR - Which One?

I've been with Canon for a while now.My Canon 550D just died on me and I'm looking for a replacement. I went into my local camera store and was amazed at the various DSLR's they had. Some from Sony and a couple from Nikon. Especially the Nikon cameras seemed to have a lot of power under the hood for the price. Something like 24mpx compared to the same priced Canon cameras which had half of that.

I'm looking to get the Canon 650D, but I'm open to suggestions. What would be the best "camera for the buck" to get?
Added (1). @Jim, by "died" I mean it died.It was a factory fault and I had the choice of either getting the same camera or getting cash. I chose cash as I'm wanting to try something different.

@Keerok, I know the difference between Canon models. They're the ones I'm most familiar with. But when I visited the local camera shop, I saw several models and makes ranging from Canon, Pentax, Nikon and a slew of others.

I'm looking for some advice to which camera (doesn't matter brand) that gives you the most "bang for the buck". I enjoy Canon cameras and always have. But I'd like to try something different for the sake of it.

60mm Micro lens help?

I just bought the AF-S Micro NIKKOR 60mm 1:2.8 G ED for my Nikon D5100. And I'm abit confused, what does the infinite sign mean? And all the other numbers? I'm quite new to Macro shooting. Also, I'm buying either a D90 or D7000 Nikon in 3 months. Which of those should I buy and will my lens work on it?

39 vs 51 Auto Focus Points?

The only differences in the d600 and the d800 Nikon Cameras I care about are these. If these were the same (either low or high), I'd pick the d600 for the price tag.It's a 1, 000 dollar difference btwn the two (as of right now), otherwise.

To me… both sound amazing. I have the first d5100 that came with 9 Autofocus points. Not even the ones with 11 (that they all come with now). *rolls eyes*, so 39 seems amazing and 51 sounds overwhelming. I figure though… if I'm going to shell over over 2k for a camera… and 51 points is WAY better… I'll dish out the dough for it later. I'd be happy with either: P

13 years old, aspiring photographer. I usually take pictures with my Nikon and filter it with Instagram… I know that I'm nowhere near professional level (and that Instagram isn't exactly known as an app for pros) but I'd love to hear feedback and critique so that I can improve :)

Broken camera sensor?

I have a nikon d5100 and chances are the sensor is broken because all my camera can produce is black images yet it works perfectly fine (can autofocus/ adjust settings perfectly)… but to me at least there is not visible damage inside or outside of my camera

and if it is would it be covered under the warranty or would it be cheaper to just buy a new camera over the repairs if it is severely damaged?

I'm wanting to spend about $200 and under. I dont really care about certain brands either. Megapixels arent that important but I would like a decent zoom, at least 5x zoom. I bought the Nikon S3100 almost a year ago, and it's just a horrible camera.It lagged like no other and the pictures were just a mess.

SD card works on camera, but not computer?

I have an SDHC Card, and I use it with my Nikon camera almost every day, and every day I put my SD card into my HP Pavilion laptop and it works, and I store the pictures in different folders on my computer. Recently, I have to push the SD Card in pretty hard until it reads, but today, no matter how hard I try, it won't work. I also tried the SD card in my brother's laptop, and it wouldn't read.So the card won't work in two laptops, but it still reads perfectly fine on my camera. I don't have the USB for the camera.

I just got my Nikon 21x zoom camera yesterday (not a new one) and it was working fine, it just dies really fast.
Anyways, I took a picture, but then it just goes to a black screen, still on! But black. Whyyyyy? D: I switched the batteries a jillion times, erased some pictures and videos I didn't need but still… same thing.

Help with High Speed Sync Flash? (Lumopro 160)?

I bought my first external flash and have been happy with it until now.My goal was always to do low key photography but only NOW have i learned about high speed sync flash.

I dont even understand the concept entirely. Can someone put it in laymans terms?

Also, is there anyway to do low key photography with my flash or no? Should I invest in another flash? Do I have to buy an expensive flash to achieve low key results?

Advice on going for a DSLR?

So I've been mulling this over for a few months but I'm going to get a DSLR. I've grown sick of getting back uploading my photos and thinking "that's not what it looked like". Cheap, high quality beginner camera?

I'm looking to get into photography, and I don't yet have a large budget for a good camera.

So, for a beginner, what's a relatively cheap, but high quality camera? A point and shoot is fine, but obviously if there's a better DSLR then that'd be great. A friend recommended some sort of Nikon 1, which he said is like a blend between the two.

I am looking into getting a speedlite very soon. I want to get more into portraits and maybe wedding photography in the future. I currently do a lot of video work, including weddings, and want to start tapping more in to the photo side.

I was curious what sort of items I should pick up with a speedlite.

Every photographer I see has a different set of items to go with their flash, even if it is the same style of shoot.

Why is the shutter speed so slow?

Okay so I have to go take some pictures of my friends band at their show later today. I'm borrowing my teachers Nikon D40. And I noticed that whenever I put the camera on the no flash setting, the shutter speed gets really slow for some reason and the pictures come out blurry. Why is that? is there anyway I can fix it? I already checked the shutter speed and it was fine.and I tried it on other settings and it was fine but only on the no flash setting, it starts acting weird.

My husband is driving me crazy asking what i would like for Christmas, but i just don't know. I am 20, and a proud mommy. I love the outdoors and most any electronics.

I guess he's doing this to me because i did this to him last week, and i finally figured out what i am getting him. (hunting things and manly things.)

I REALLY wanted a new Nikon D5100 camera with a lens, but that will be $600+ and that is definitely out of our price range. I also love the tablets, especially the Samsung 10.1 16GB tablet. Again though, out of our price range, its around $500.

As for the outdoors, i ride horses. We already have 3, just sold one actually. I have two saddles and i have several bridals. I have tie downs and saddle pads. Pretty much have everything i need, more than i need.

I have a smaller Nikon camera. Its a long zoom. I have a very nice HP entertainment laptop. I have an iPhone. Other than the two things i listed i don't know what else i would like to have.

We prefer no gift cards.

Nikon Flash Help Needed!

So i have a nikon d7000 and i just got a nikon sb 600 flash. I cant seem to figure out how to make the flash work remotely. The flash works perfectly fine when attached to the hotshoe but doesnt seem to work off camera. For some reason i can only make it flash remotely when i have my pop up flash up. When i put the pop up flash down it doesnt flash. Does anyone have a d7000 with a speedlight or know how to solve this?

What lens (if any) and external flash should I consider when shooting a broadway show?

I have a friend who wants me to do a shoot of a Broadway show she is in.

I normally do kids/family portraits and mainly outdoors, so I've never purchased an external flash.

Camera recommendations?

I'm looking into getting a camera but I'm not sure which one I want. I would like to get either a Nikon or a Canon. Here are my requirements:
-Good zoom (I will be taking a lot of really close up photos to draw and if i get a close up of say a bee on a flower i want no loss of clarity)
-Good in low-light (I will be taking a lot of pics in the woods where light may be scattered, I want to be able to pick up the variations of light and be able to see them in the photograph without using a flash
-Reasonable price (I'm new to this and I don't want to pay like 1000$)
-Relatively compact (I understand it won't be the size of your average camera but I don't want to have to lug a giant case and a bunch of extra lenses to the barn or into the woods)

Nikon D300 (s) vs D7000?

I will soon be upgrading to one of these cameras. Please don't suggest I switch to Canon, Pentax, or Sony. I already have Nikon gear, so I'm sticking with the one brand. I shoot alot of my kids sporting events: Football, Soccer, Volleyball, Wrestling. I will be using a Nikon 80-200 AF f2.8 lens. I have done extensive research on these two cameras, and I am stuck as to which one will be best for me. I realize that the D7000 is a newer design, higher MP (which I'm not concerned about in the least), and better low light performance. What I am looking for is someone who has had real world experience with both models. All other things being equal, I would buy the D7000, but it just seems by the specs that the 300(s) is better suited for sports with better auto focus, a bigger heavier body to help control the heavy lens, & easier ergonomics for adjustments on the go. I am not worried about IQ of one vs the other. I have been using a D100 for the last, well forever, and I get excellent results from that camera, so either of the new ones should do as far as that is concerned. Also, I don't really care about video. I have an HD video camera.

How to clean the electronic bit on a DSLR?

Sorry don't know what its called but I've just noticed that on all my photo's I have two very slightly dark spots… like a dried water spot… It happen's with all the lens's, so it must be IN the camera. I only notice it when I shoot clouds or other light backgrounds.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me where this "exposure compensation button is ?? on a nikon d300? and would some kindly explain what it is and why ?? I understand it a bit but a nice clarification would help. Also, the setting on white balance on nikons is default… I fail to see its purpose to change it ?? I know that using tungsten indoors helps etc but does it REALLY make much difference?

Best low-light video DSLR?

Hi,

I want to buy a HDSLR and was wondering what would be the best for low light shooting and also overrall (without considering the price)? Let's say… your top 5.

The Nikon D7000 seems to be a good choice overall but it looks like the video is not that great… I don't know if that's true though…

The T2i seems to be the most affordable choice but lacks the 2 slots for example… and I don't know how good is the video.

The Mark II looks like it's really the best but it's "old" so I'm not sure about what replaced it? The D3s?

For everyday point and shoot shots, which mirrorless camera should I choose?

Basically I'm very confused as to which camera to get for general point and shoot type shots. Current considerations are the Panasonic Lumix GF3, Sony Nex-5 and Nikon 1 J1. I'll be using it mainly for travelling so there will be a variety of shots - outdoor, indoor etc

I was initially looking at the J1 for its speed but the general review for the camera isn't that great, so now I'm juggling between that, Sony NEX-5 and Lumix GF3

The main things I'm really looking at is for reasonably fast autofocus and a small compact size (image quality for them all are said to be great so I'm not too overly concerned with that). I know pancake lenses are available for them all, but my question is if they're good for everyday purposes? Nikon's 10mm lens is said to not be really fit for all purposes, and I'm not too sure I want to lug around the other 10-30mm lenses when I'm on the go.

Long story short -
Nikon J1, Sony NEX-5 or Panasonic Lumix GF3?

(And yes, I know there are lots of people who don't quite like mirrorless cameras, and feel that they're overpriced and whatnot and it's more worth it to get a DSLR, but I'm looking for compact with future options to go further)

Hi! I just need some help and advice. I have watched so many videos regarding these very good cameras and read all the review but somehow I still can't decide what to get. Nikkor 18-55mm GII won't zoom?

My Nikkor 18-55mm randomly decided not to allow me to adjust the zoom ring lower than 55mm. The focus ring works just fine, in both manual and automatic zoom. I know it is not the body because I used my roommates 18-55mm and his zoom lens which both worked normally. I last used my camera on saturday afternoon. Tips for using manual focus?

Ive recently purchased the nikkor 50mm f/1.8g lens for my entry level dslr (dx format) i have been having a lot of fun with it but im just having such a hard time with the manual focus. For ex. Today i took some family pictures for a good friend.just messing around getting more expirience. And about half of my photos were out of focus when i was using manual focus. She has two infants and the dog came so it was definitely tough to focus fast because they were everywhere. But is there anything i can do to help me focus in on my subjects faster? Auto focus almost never focuses on what i want it to be focusing on!

Help with my Camera Lense and Photography?

1st Problem: My Camera takes good photos when there is natural lighting but when its cloudy the picture lack color and depth is more flat. I try changing the white balance and some times it works sometimes it doesn't because you have to find the perfect spot.

2nd Problem: Lowlight. When ever I try taking lowlight I get super slow focus bad color pictures just does look nice. I try turning up my ISO and lowering the shutter speed but it still doesn't look that good unless you keep it perfectly still on a decent tripod an even then it looks unnatural.anything I can do?

3rd Problem: Most of the pictures I Take lack color I want to take pictures of a flower pedal and a pedal wanting it to look like something in a national geographic magazine it doesn't look quite as good Iooks okay anything I can do to improve on this get a macro Lens? It also effects it when It's cloudy again.

Buying DSLR, canon loyalty program, eBay?

Is it safe to purchase a DSLR camera from eBay? or are most defective, have cheap parts, or missing parts, etc? Where would be an alternative (besides craigslist) to get a T4i or Nikon d5100 for the best price?

I still haven't decided between the two, but those are my top choices, I still have to go in store to see how they feel in my hands, but at my local best buy they are very expensive. I know DSLRs are expensive, but there's a price variation between stores, like with almost any product.

How does the Canon loyalty program work? How to increase DPI?

300 dpi is considered as good to taking prints, however when i take pics i see that the dpi is generally below 300, mostly around 240. How do i increase that.Is there anything to be done in the camera settings (Nikon D7000) or do i do it while post processing ?

Should I pay to get my Nikon fixed, or just buy a new one?

I have a Nikon D60 that I've had for about 3 years. A couple weeks ago, it malfunctioned and will no longer take photos.It says 'release shutter button.' I have to send it to Nikon and have heard that it costs about $150 to get it fixed, and some have said after getting it fixed, it happens again. I don't know if I should get it fixed or maybe get a new camera, possibly a canon with video, since the D60 doesn't have video features. I'm not a professional photographer or anything, but I love the quality a dslr gives me. I can't live without my camera! What should I do? Nikon vs. Canon? Any opinions? Thanks!

With a DSLR camera, lets say it doesnt have a swivel screen and i put it on a tripod or there, i wont know where to stand exactly in the right place, (my forehead might be cut off), is there any techniques to know where to stand instead of constantly looking behind the camera to know? maybe a mirror on the wall? nah that wont work… any ideas?

Upgrade from D5000 to D7000?

I am thinking of upgrading from my D5000 which I have been using for the past 2 years and now I think I should upgrade the body to a D7000. Mainly because of its got better ergonomics and more physical buttons to change things, more buffer.etc

Is it a good time to buy the D7000 or should I wait for its replacement or a better camera from nikon in the next 5-6 months? I do not want to go full frame.

Phone Videos not transferring to Windows Movie Maker?

I am trying to make a timeline of our son's videos. I transferred all the videos from our phone onto our computer;however, I am not able to import them to Windows Movie Maker. All my videos from my Nikon had no issue transferring to the program. Any ideas of how I can fix this?

What dslr camera is best for me? - 1

I am a beginner when it comes to dslr cameras. But i am super interested in photography and would like to upgrade from my point and shoot camera. I have researched some and found two but im not sure about them. The first is the Nikon d3000, and this is the one im leaning more towards. The other is the Cannon Rebel t3. Both with the starter kit lenses. I know, i know, rival brands, but i dont really have a preference. I really want it to be able to take good pictures of sunsets, because i live near the beach, and of course people. I also dont really want a video setting, if that helps. Which camera is better? can you give pros/ cons? Or if there are any better options please let me know! Thanks!

Getting good depth of field with my nikkor 18-105 lens?

I'm taking family portraits of four people this next weekend. I'm wondering how to get a good depth of field with my nikkor 18-105 lens? What shutter speed, and aperture should I set my camera to in order to blur the background out? Also i'm not sure what other settings I will need to adjust. I set it to it's lowest which is f3.5 and it didn't blur anything out.Do I need to focus on an object and then take the photo. Is f/2 enough for night photography?

I'm planning to buy a new lens due to the fact that my two current lenses don't have a fast enough aperture for low light situations. I have a D90 and an F100 which basically means that i will need an FX lens that works on both cameras. I want a 35mm lens so it will be a 50 on my d90 and a 35mm on my F100. Okay so I've done a lot of research and at last I think I'm going to get the Nikon d5100.

At first I wanted a dslr, but then I changed my mind to a mirrorless camera(because I like it's size and convinience) but then people start to change my mind about how it's not good, and personally I don't like the fact that it doesn't has a viewfinder too.So I looked again at dslr.

Now I've finally decided the Nikon d5100
But I'm scared I will end up with feeling lazy and awkward to carry that big, bulky thing to a lot of functions and eventually wasted my money on buying a dslr?

Plus, I'm a kinda shy high school student who is going to college next year, and I'm afraid that if i carry that camera around college next year, i will gain the reputation as a show off or something bad? Am i thinking too much?

DSLR Photographers- advice please!

I am purchasing my first DLSR, the nikon d5100. This is for photography, not casual "oh, lets take some pictures of the kids" stuff. I was wondering which would be of better value: to purchase it with the kit lens, or buy it as a body only and get a better lens, such as the 55-300mm.My friend owns this and uses it as her main lens. Nikon d5100 Formatting?

I have a nikon d5100. Recently, it has not taken any memory cards. I have been using a sony disk for about 1.5 years, and when I bought a new one, and loaded it. I Keep getting an error screen reading "Memory card may be damaed do not use"
Now, every memory card being put in, from a 4gb up to a 32 gb, sony and pny brands, all get this error screen. I have hit the format button on the camera, and nothing is working.
Called Wolf Camera and they said they have not heard of this issue and could not help.

Any suggestions!

Anyways, I'm looking at Nikkor AF-S 50mm f1.8G/f1.4G
My main use will be for Cosplay-photography, so not looking at longer focal lengths which I've seen a few websites recommending for good bokeh. I'm also planning to do some low light shots as well…

My point is, which lens would be more suitable for what I'm doing - both bokeh as well as overall shooting. I know the main difference is the aperture, so it's obvious to go for the f1.4, but a lot of the reviews have said that the f1.8 is better financially and photographically/not much difference at all in comparison to f1.4. Which would be worth the money?

It will be my first DSLR + Lens purchase and many of my friends are canon users, so excuse any misunderstanding I have made. Feel free to suggest anything else that may be helpful.

Quality or Not? Burris 1 inch Quick Detach Solid Steel Riflescope Rings?

My question is to whether or not going with "Burris 1 inch Quick Detach Solid Steel Riflescope Rings" is the right choice for scope rings to mount on a picatinny rail mount on a Browning BLR in 450 Marlin.
I have a Nikon 4-12x40 BDC Scope with a 1" Neck.
What I am trying to avoid are scope rings that will not hold the scope under the ammount of stress a 450 Marlin produces. Any input?

I will be a successful film director. I have the initiative and ambitious desire to create and portray stories that bring out emotions never felt before. I do not care if it takes 22 hour work days or buy assholes coffee in order to network. This all must be a necessary sacrifice. I having nothing holding me back from where I am living, so I am open to traveling.

I am 17 and a senior in high school.My GPA is 3.5, my ACT score is 28, I am a member of the NHS, and I am taking my SAT the 27th.My senior courses are Photography, AP Art History, Art 4, Graphic Design, AP Calculus, and English 4.My previous courses throughout my life have been honor classes.

Should I go an art college to study film producing/directing? Or one that focuses more on liberal arts? People tell me not to pay for film school, for you can learn everything utilizing the internet. I look at it as you are going to college AND PAYING FOR CONNECTIONS; which in the end getting a job interning would recompense. I stay up to all hours of the night figuring out what is the best way to become a successful director/producer with a consistent income to pay back my loans. Living near Canton, Ohio, I have looked into University of Southern California, New York Film Academy, SCAD, and Bowling Greens University. I went to the National Art Portfolio day to visit art colleges such as the Pratt Institute, VCUarts, CIA, and CCAD. I strongly believe due to my portfolio and what they critiqued, I could get into any of these art colleges.

I am currently recording/directing/producing a short film using a Nikon D7000, and editing it with Adobe Premier.My best friend is in a band and can design the soundtrack.

Having 20, 000 saved up with the potential to get scholarships from my hard work in academics, should money hinder me from going to New York or California? L. A.is where that industry is. Why compare the Nikon D7000 to the Canon 60D?

Why do people compare the D7000 to the 60D? We all know that the 60D can't match the D7000 in any ways, why not compare it to the 7D? It has the magnesium alloy body, then they compare it to polycarbonate plastic? Why not compare it to the 7D's magnesium alloy body? I think they compare it based on the price, but please compare it by features and specs.

Nikon lens not focusing at high end and at far distance?

I have a nikon d40 with a 18-200 mm lens.latley if i try to shoot something like an airplane it will focus but wont be clear and it wont take the photo unless i swtch to manual or move the focus ring all the way past infinity… it use to take them fine… but its only at far distance.if i go to take a picture of a flower on the ground zoomed all the way out just like the airplane it takes the photo of the flower…

i have insurrance on both the camera and the lens but idk if its the lens that needs replaced or the camera???

Amateur photography learning the ropes?

I'm trying to teach myself how to take full advantage if my nikon d3000 via the Internet.It's all very overwhelming, but I think the best way for me to get a grasp of aperture, shutter speed, and iso is to know approximately where these setting should be at in different scenarios and then make adjustments from there. For example lets say I'm taking photos of my daughter outside on an overcast day or in the shade with a blurry background. Where would be a good starting point? And how about the same situation indoors near a window? Or outside on a sunny day? If you have any other helpful tips for me I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much!

Nikon D5100 versus, which cameras out in the WORLD there take better image quality photos?

I know, i know, its not the camera, but the guy behind the camera whos taking photos, yes i know…

lets say the guy whos taking photos is a PRO… and he has a d5100, now can you please tell me, out of all the DSLR cameras out there, which or how many of them will beat the D5100 in better image quality alone? please tell me the brand and model of them, i dont care if they cost 5, 000$
