Help about choosing lenses!

Help me in deciding lenses, i had made a shortlist of lenses can you tell if it is a good selection or should i make some changes my camera is nikon d7100?

Editing my video, help?

I have Pinnacle studio 16. I know how to edit my videos but the only problem is, is that when I upload a video from my Nikon d3100 into the computer and into the program to start editing it, when I click the play button to view the video it doesn't work. The audio run fine but the actual picture ( moving image) is slow and like lagging and I don't understand why. Whenever I look at the video that they put already as like a preview to see what it looks like the video runs fine. But when I start my own project the video doesn't run smoothly. Also how do I save the video so that its just the video and not the whole program coming up so that I can upload it to youtube?

What are some really good cameras?

I want high quality photos. I have a Fuji film camera and to me it's terrible… My friend has a Nikon camera, which I know many of those are very expensive and it takes professional, amazing looking photos! I'm looking for something around $200-300.Is it possible to find something nice for that?

How to set picture control on my nikon d3100?

Okay so on my nikon im trying to adjust the picture and i went to the shooting menu and the set picture control button is gray and when i click it, it says "this option is not available with current settings" How do i fix this?

How to become a Professional photographer?

How can someone become a Professional photographer?
I am only 14, and I know I am not going to become a professional photographer yet(: but what steps can I take to get there? Like what camera? Nothing too expensive, I was looking at getting a Nikon v1? Amy good. All I have at the moment is an iPhone 4S, any help is good! Thanks

Thoughts on sigma 17-50mm?

Hi there
I am in search for buying new lens but dont know if its best to choose a fixed/prime lens like nikon 35 mm or choose one like sigma 17-50mm.What troubles me its that, if buying a fixed lens i will always have the limit of 35mm but if choosing a lens like sigma 17-50mm i will have thaechange of shooting in variety of focal lengths(from 17-50). i want lens with wide aperture
What i will be shooting is street maybe some distance candid photos and some portraits.

Will the sigma 17-50mm work for all these kinds of photography?
Or what about 24-70?

Charge of my nikon dslr gets over too soon?

It i insert the memory card, the dslr keeps on reading the card even when it is off.i thought that it might be a virus in the card which is makin it read it.but when i keep the camera without the memory card also, the battery drains early.the problem is not with the battery which im sure.can u tell me how 2 reset my camera

Using CHDK we can turn our simple point and shoot to a super manual camera..How do I do the same to my Nikon camera?
