I'm a film maker but I also do a lot of photography. Which one is better?
Please don't say "it depends on the photographer " or a dumb smart comment.
A simple answer based on your preference Is all I'm asking. Also do not suggest getting a cam corder.

Nikon D80 - Why is there 2 ISO settings?
Hi,
I have started photography over the past year or two and am using a Nikon D80 camera and recently I've decided to start trying to use it manually and try and get different pictures and also night pictures.
But when I've been taking night pictures I have realised my ISO was up to 1600 which isnt good it should be about 100 or 200 for night, I know how to change this but it still carried on setting it to 1600, so after a bit of playing around I realised there was ISO sensitivity set in custom settings.
I just want to know whats the difference between ISO in general menu and ISO sensitvity in the custom menu? And what should they be on once back to normal?
Also if i'm in auto mode will the iso automatically go to auto itself or not?

Windscreens/ Preventing Gear Noise?
I'm running a Nikon D5100 with a Beyerdynamic MCE S ll Cam set for audio while recording video.
I'm aware auto focus is not preferred when doing video but I do have certain situations that require it, and when I do I get noises from my lens.
I was thinking of getting an 18cm Micover Puffin Wind Diffusion for it, but I also noticed a $30 (compared to $70) windscreen, while Rycote offers an 18cm $110 version.
So my questions:
1. Does the price of the windscreen really matter or is that just because of brand name (should I spend the 70 over the 30 so I don't regret it?)
2. Would a windscreen even help with gear noise?
Keep in mind I have thought of getting other mics and such but its currently out of the question, and yes I have experimented with distancing my mic from the camera, while I could get longer cords the issue lies in that most situations Im doing everything so my mic needs to be mounted (yes I've looked at adjustable mounts and rigs but I'd rather not buy another rig for the time being, I'm just hoping a windscreen will be a good permanent fix)

Rifle Scope-Which is better?
For target shooting up to 600 yards but most of the time at around 300 yards or so.It will so be use as a hunting scope at about 200 yards.

Help in finding a pc sync terminal adapter for d600 all i want is to set up a studio?
Hi guys, first of all i'm not sure if I am in need of Nikon AS-15.Is the Nikon AS-15 really not compatible with Nikon D600? If not what are other recommendations can you give me because this is my first time finding a studio equipment because I am planning on setting up a studio for my hobby. What are other brands can I use to have a pc sync terminal adapter? thanks guys

Colors change when i open.nef file?
I have a question to ask, I have a nikon D90 and have been shooting raw right from day 1, untill yesterday I started facing an issue. The photos on my camera LCD look brilliant nice vibrant everything, but as i open them on my PC they look desaturated and underexposed. I shot raw + jpg yesterday. Now JPGs are exactly the same as what i see on my Camera LCD. I really need your help here. I am so boned.
P.S. I shot all the images in sRGB color space, and i use a photoshop cs 6.

Is mirrorless camera the future of dslr evolution?
I am shocked to find it so late: P
my friend used Olympus OMde5, and i quickly get curious, as i know he is a Nikon guy professionally.
first Olympus uses smaller sensor, a four thirds sensor, and the images seems to be brilliant.
then i start to notice youtube reviews saying this is where the next camera form is going.
i am aiming to be at the pro camera gear.so i have a dslr and all full frame lenses.
but Canon make new mirrorless too, and it can use EF full frame lenses.
i wonder if its worth adding more EF collection or soon everything going to be turned into smaller lenses like Olympus zuikos and Sony zeisses.they produce amazing result and have incredible opening at f1.4.
