My mom got a nikon d3300 for her birthday so she gave me the canon. Im still pretty unfamiliar with it and haven't been able to locate the manual. I have a button where I can choose the shooting settings (single shot, continuous, self timer, etc) and on the continuous self timer option it has a box where you select how many seconds you want it to be before the camera shoots. However, I haven't found a way to adjust the time between each shot or the number of shots I want it to take. Help?

Persuade to get the 7d?
So I asked my dad and he said he was expecting me to pick out a camera in the $1000 range. The 7d is on sale $500 and its about $1300. Although Ive never played with the camera, I do know most of the features, how tos, and just about everything you need to know for an enthusiast. However, We discussed that the 7d is like a pro camera, but people say its a high mid level camera and could be viewed as beginner pro (if that makes sense).
We are looking at other cameras and particularly canon since my sister has a t3i and the lens are interchangeable. I dont want to get the same one so the only option is something below that which won't happen or the t5i. BUT, te t5i is about $1000 at best buy. $300 more and we could get a pro like camera the 7d. The 70d is another option but about the same price as the ongoing sale for the 7d so why not get something better for the same price?
I really do not want to get the t5i and if he lets me get the 70d, why can't i spend a bit more for the 7d?
How can I get him to compromise for the 7d? I suggested to put my money into it and still he says its expensive for me.
Its my 16th birthday and instead of a car I asked for a better camera than something entry level like nikon 3200. I really do not want to miss this sale opportunity if he does decide yes but then realize its $1800 when we couldve gotten it for $1300… :(

Can I get my photos back from my SD card?
Basically I was taking some photos at a event and I went back to my computer to put the photos onto the computer. I then deleted these photos so I could take more. Now when I took more I got back to my computer to put the pictures on and I got a message saying this destination already has a file named <Nikon 001> I then had three options and I clicked replace file destination so all the pervious photos went.
Now what can I do to get these back.

Do Nikon cameras come with a software similar to Canon EOS Utility?
I'm thinking of purchasing a Nikon and was wondering if it came with a program like EOS Utility.
