Im not sure what DSLR to get?

I have a budget of £6000 to get a good camera and lens(es). i have been trying to choose between the canon 5d mkiii, nikon d4, nikon d3s.the lenses i was looking at are the sigma 150-500, sigma 300-800, sigma 500mm, canon 100-400 and im open to suggestions on other dslr's and lenses but i really want to keep it to these 4 cameras

Can you use a DX lens on a camera with an FX sensor and still get good results?

I have a Nikon D3X camera and would like to buy a new lens but because the camera has an FX sensor, the lenses are really expensive, therefore I was wondering if I could use the camera with a DX lens and still get great results?

E.g.would the results be just the same as if I was using a camera with a DX sensor and DX lens?
Added (1). Will this definitely also not damage the camera at all?
Added (2). I didn't personally spend a fortune on the D3X - I am a property photographer and the camera was therefore purchased by the company that I work for.

How does the Samsung NX1000 compare to Nikon D5100?

Hello all
i have the DSLR cameras Nikon D5000 and Pentax K-X, and trying to update with Samsung NX1000 or Nikon D5100. I prefer D5100 for using the same lenses as D5000 but also prefer NX1000 for the small size video ability feature and the lower price.

How is the quality with a Nikkor 55 - 300 mm lens on a Nikon D3000?

I would like to buy a new lens for my Nikon D3000. I've seen the nikkor 55 - 300 mm lens but I'm not sure how the quality will be…

Would this Mic work on a Nikon D5100?

Would the following microphone work with a Nikon D5100:
Sony ECM-MSD1 Stereo Microphone

If not, does it need some sort of adapter?
In broader terms, which microphones would be compatible with the Nikon D5100?

Upgrading from Nikon d3200. Full frame or top-end crop sensor?

Hi, I am a new at photography and been having a firm grip of the basics with my Nikon D3200 with 35mm f1.8 lens. Now I think that it is time to do an upgrade because I want to learn more, maximize more settings that top end DSLRs have. I shoot a lot of portrait, some landscapes, some nature shooting, but I really love portraits and capturing those moments instead of making someone pose in front of me. ANYWAY my options for upgrading is either get the Nikon D7100 (crop sensor) or Canon 5d Mk ii (full frame)
Why nikon d7100? because I have a 35mm f1.8 already, I can maximize that lens and go from there
Canon 5d mk ii well its a full frame, but do I really need that much for the type of pictures I take?
I took photography as a hobby not as a job or anything, but I definitely want to get serious with it and make an investment with my next DSLR purchase. I dont regret my d3200 but you just have that itch to have more.

My Nikon V1 seems to always take grainy photos?

I got the Nikon V1 as a Christmas gift and I took it with me on my vacation to NYC last week. On the camera screen all the photos seemed to be turning out great and I was impressed but once I got home and looked at them on the computer a lot of them weren't even printable in my opinion.In hardly even low light the camera created very grainy photos.It even seemed to use a higher iso in situations where light shouldn't have been a problem. I kept it on it's automatic screen mode because accessing pasm on this camera is time consuming and a bit of a pain. I had heard so many great things with this camera and I was really excited to use it on this trip but I'm now a bit disappointed with it's quality.Is there anyway I can stop my camera from taking photos like this? I've seen peoples sample photos with this camera and I know it's more capable than what it did for me in NYC.
