When trying to upgrade my D5100 with latest Firmware - could not get camera to recognise firmware.

Simple answer was, the downloaded file did not show BIN file. Once you have downloaded the file and clicked run, make sure BIN is showing at end of doc, if BIN is not showing, you need to open with word document.

Nikon D7100 remote flash?

I just got my SB 700s in the mail and I set them up on commander mode in my camera, but there's a really bad delay before the flash fires. The autofocus light will flash then the flash itself will fire. HELP

Yashica Electro 35, Smena 8 or Nikon FM10?

Going on a trip to Europe and i feel like shooting on film will be a bit more convenient than digital. I already on the yashica and the smena. I'm thinking about buying a brand new Nikon FM10 for $300. Do you guys think its worth or should i just shoot with the ones i have? Should i take the Smena or the Yashica?

Will I benefit from making the transition to full frame DSLR Camera?

I first has a Nikon D70…then a D60 and now a D5100. I have 4 DX lenses. I really like the 5100 and what can be achieved within the price and I also produce small films of which 2 have been shown at film festivals.

I am considering jumping up to a Nikon D600 into the world of full frame. I choose the d600 because of weight as much of what I do is outdoors.

The question is, nowadays with DX being so good will I relaly see the benefit of jumping to FX format or will I resent spending the extra? Maybe someone has done the same as me and can give their opinion?

Are third party batteries bad?

I am getting a Nikon D3100 and need a spare battery. I want to pick up a Vivitar Battery (third party). I am getting it because it is cheap. I am just scared, if I use it, will it break my camera? I dont care about battery shortage, I just need something for those last hour of shoots. I just am worried about the camera. I am getting a VIvitar En-El14 battery. I am worried about camera, please inform me. I just need to know if it will damage my camera, I dont care about the life.

Is there a taboo against doing a lot of post in photography?

So, I'm a budding photographer loving every bit of it, and I know I should compose and set up my pictures so that what I shoot is as close to the final product that I want.

However, I am very particular about what I want, and I kind of resign myself to taking a shot so that I can post process afterward. Is this a terribly bad practice?

FYI, if you're curious, I'm running a Nikon D5200, 35mm f/1.8 AF-S Prime Nikkor, and I'm just about to get a my Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X116 Pro DX II, post in Lightroom 4.4
