If your in the crowd what type of camera are you allowed? i know you will get told off if you use a big canon or nikon as they think your a professional

I am a high school student going into photography and someone wants me to have a photo session with her and six of her friends. We would probably go out in NYC, which isn't too far away. How much do I charge for that? Do I charge per hour? I have a Nikon D5100 and Photoshop so I would edit the photos as well. I would probably end up giving them the photos on a CD.

What program should i use to make slo -motion videos?

I have a Nikon D5100 and it can't do slo-motion by itself so I want to take a video in like 24fps and then use a program to edit the video and make it like 60fps. I don't want super slo-mo just normal slo-mo. Thanks (:

Problem With Windows Movie Maker?

Whenever I try to create a movie involving.mov fiules the error symbol comes up, and it said the problem was that.mov is by apple so windows movie maker does not support it.It said I need to download QuickTime by apple, but I dont think you can do editing on it:/ Is there any way I can make my.mov able to be used in Movie Maker? I tried renaming it once, but then only the audio would come up, and not the video. The video was shot on my Nikon camera, and this happens every-time I need to use Movie Maker.My friends have the same camera and SD card, but they dont have this problem:(

Is there an auto focus adapter for Nikon lenses to Sony DSLR's?

I'm a Nikon D5100 owner with a 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S DX and 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED IF AF-S VR lenses and I am highly considering upgrading from Nikon to Sony. I'm interested in the Sony A77 DSLR.Is there at all an adapter (price range doesn't matter) that will have auto focus working with Nikon lenses converted to Sony cameras? The only ones I can find are manual focus. I kinda doubt there's anything out there that would help me but I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm guessing I'm just gonna have to start all over with the lenses.It would just be nice and handy if I could somehow convert my Nikon lenses to the new Sony, in the best way possible. How to go about starting film photography?

I have a Nikon D5100.i would say i take semi-good pictures. I have recently started watching Sawyer Hartman's film photography on youtube.i was really inspired by him to take up film photography.i have never taken anything other than pictures.i would really like to start doing this however i dont know where to start.i have the equitment to i just dont really know how to start using it with film.what my goal is, is to make videos and post them onto youtube.i kinda have an idea of what to film but i dont know what angles i should shoot at for different objects or which lenses i should use.should i use the same angles i would if i were to take a picture? i have a 1.8 50mm and a 18-55mm lens.does it matter which one i use? i think i prefer the 50mm in most situations.i live in New York but about an hour an a half away from the city and go there every so often.any advice for beginner? I'm scared I'm going to eat up the memory on my new 8gb iPhone4?

I was all excited to get my free iPhone4 with Sprint, although it's only an 8gb. I LOVE it. Sooo much! But I'm sooo scared I'm going to eat the memory with songs and such.:( I have Pandora, Instagram, Kik, and pinterest installed. 0 songs atm but I am probably going to put quite a few on, along with pictures since I'm a photographer (yes, as in it's my job too) and I have quite large images (Nikon D5100) and I'm just terrigied I'mma eat the memory… :(

Opteka .35 fisheye very blurry?

I'm using it on a Nikon D4 (Full frame), to which it should be compatible. I attached it to my 50mm 1.4 lens. (Which in FF should be like a 35mm on a crop camera). I have tried switching to manual focus and the view is COMPLETELY blurry. (Not just bad quality blurry, but 100% blur). What am I doing wrong? The macro attachment works fine.
Added (1). Thanks for all your responses. Yes, I was also thinking that maybe my 50mm wasn't wide enough..I am planning on getting a 35mm in the next couple months, so will try again on that.In the meantime, the macro works great. And yes, I know this isn't a lens, it's an attachment with shoddy glass on a gorgeous 50mm 1.4G lens coupled with a $6, 000 camera. :) I wanted it for fun to take some interesting pics of my kids. I wouldn't be using the fisheye for professional use unless I had an actual fisheye lens (a little outside my budget right now, since I am eyeing that new Sigma 35mm 1.4). But it's on my "win the lotto" list :)
I trying closing up my ap, but that didn't help.At least the macro works, so I may not return it.
I just jumped the Canon ship for Nikon, so trying to build up my lens arsenal again, just can't afford a "real" fisheye yet.

Indoor lighting for photography?

I was looking for some lighting to take food photography pics indoor.i have a 500W halogen worklight but the light quality is yellow-orange.i tried to change the white balance but there isnt one for tungsten light (in case it matters, i have a nikon d3100). i was looking at the home depot website and theres a 42-watt use (200W) equivalent daylight cfl bulb that has a 6500k light appearance.will this work, or will it be too blueish? im trying to get something cheap, im not going for high end or an investment.i just want to take nice food pics at night but i just dont have the lighting down yet (even during the day since i barely get any natural light inside my windows). thanks all.

My friend and I are going to be doing some photography with steel wool and we will be doing it in a underground tunnel that has lights, what setting should I set my Nikon D5100 to? I've got an idea of what to do without any light but not with some light on. Also, im pretty confused on how long to set the interval on the timelapse option, if I want to take a nighttime timelapse of about 5 hours?
