Looking to take up photography. Looking for the pro's or con's of each camera. I'm an entry level photographer.

Connecting an Iphone to nikon D7000?

I know theres a cord that can connect them. I need to be able to take selfies for school :( and I want to look on ebay but don't know what type of cord to bye? I have a nikon D7000 and an Iphone.please help!
Added (1). I go to art school and the quality of an iphone would probably get me an F. and its going to be a unit in the class coming up soon.so If any one has any idea of what kind of cord i need that would be great thx

Which camera is best for my purposes?

I'd like to take take pictures and make some short videos for uploading to Youtube about food. I've been offered a Nikon D-3000 18-55 VR or an Olympus EPM-1. The last time I bought a camera was over 15 years ago and I don't have a clue as to which of the two would be better for my purposes.

Any suggestions?

It also needs to be able to open/process NEF (Nikon RAW) files.

Hi, please help me i am going to watch the england u21"S play football on friday at carrow road, i have recently got my nikon d3100 and sigma 70-300mm and want to take it into carrow road stadium. I am also going to Villa vs Norwich at villa park, am i aloud my camera there?

Ny Comic Con: Can I bring a DSLR?

I read on the NYCC site that you're welcome to take photographs but they weren't clear on if you'd need a press pass or anything for higher end cameras.It's nothing crazy, just a Nikon D3100, but I don't want to bring it all the way there if I can't bring it in.

Nikon D40 Bringing it back to life?

I have a Nikon D40 that the battery died some time ago. I just purchased a new battery from ebay thinking that this would fix the problem. However, after carefully charging it nothing happens.It is as dead as a door nail. Or is it?

Am I not doing something right? I'm wondering if the camera itself went out and if it did what do I need to bring it back to life and in working condition?

How to improvise professional lighting in photography?

I currently have a Nikon D90, I don't have any professional gear and probably wont be getting some anytime soon. A friend of mine wants me to take the pictures for her catalog.she makes necklaces and bracelets. I might photograph them on models or with a white background (open to suggestions). The question is how can i improvise pro lighting?

Can we share flash on cameras of different manufacturers?

I am researching on a Yongnuo YN565EX E-TTL flash. I read someone said it can be controlled by either a Nikon D90 and a Canon 60D. Does it mean it can be triggered wirelessly off camera by both cameras? BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, does it work mounted on the hot shoe for both cameras? Or the built for Canon will only work on a Canon hot shoe and built for Nikon works on a Nikon hot shoe?

What would be the set standards for a first time customer photoshoot? I'm not pro and are currently shooting with an Nikon D3200, speedlight, 50mm 1.4 prime lens and a film minolta srt 101, my serious question would be where do I take my client? Its a hip hop themed photoshoot as he's a artist…
