Mac Mini For Photo Editing Or Another Alternative?

Hi All!
I was looking into a new computer for photo editing. I myself have a Nikon D5100, and may soon upgrade to a D7000 or whatever Id like when the time comes. I shoot occasional weddings with my aunt and I am on my school yearbook and newspaper so I take a lot of photos and edit them. I plan on using Lightroom 4 for my editing. I am most likely going to get the 2.3ghz i7 model (maybe the 2.6ghz? Is it worth it?) and the 1tb fusion drive. I will upgrade the RAM to 16gb myself because it is cheaper.Is this computer good enough for doing photo editing and such? Do you have any Windows equivalents for $1000 or less? I am going to get a monitor so thats aside the cost of the computer. Thanks for your replies! Im looking for any other alternatives! Thanks! :D

Which of the Nikon D series is best for an entry level enthusiast? Nikon D3100?

They all seem to be great entry level dslrs. But my question is, which is cheapest? I have my eye on the D3100.
Added (1). I'll just be shooting some basic landscape and maybe some friends here and there.

Best SLR camera? For filming?

I have a YouTube channel and I want to increase my video quality. I am looking for a good quality camera that alot of youtubers use. Maybe along the lines of what Casper lee or Marcus butler use. I would also really like a screen that can flip over so I can watch myself as I film. I'm not sure whether that is an add on or not. And I know for sure that one of those mics with the fuzzy add on would need to be an attachment and probably not something that is built in.

Basically I would like a camera with an external microphone that I might need to buy separately, I would really like a flip over screen, and I need a camera that does both still photos and film.it must be SLR and good quality and preferable Nikon or canon.

Any suggestions?

Sneaking onto floor at One Direction concert at Nikon Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh NY?

Hi there!
Okay so three of my friends and i are going to the nikon jones beach theater in wantagh ny this summer for a one direction concert. Our seats are basically in the back of the stadium. I have been to concerts before and i have snuck into better seats. How hard would it be to sneak onto the floor at this theater? Whats the security like and where are the entrances? Should i buy a normal yellow wristband? Also, I am NOT a crazy screaming fan so i would be normal and not draw attention to myself.My friends and I would get there quite early before the show. ANY tips? (please dont say "dont do that" just give tips! :) THANKS (oh I am 17 btw)

Is the Nikon D3000 10.2 mp good?

I want to know if this camera takes good pictures and would be good as a starter camera for someone going into photography? (14 year old) I took some pretty good pictures with the nikon d40 sadly something happened with the shutter and think it would be better to just but a new one to upgrade.Is this nikon worth the money? (Obviously worth 200: P) Should I buy it? Also what are your pros and cons about this camera?

Nikon d5100 saving pictures?

Lets say i take 100 pictures on my nikon d5100 the camera will save the pictures as dsc_0001 through dsc_0100 but when i delete the pictures and take pictures again the pictures are saved with the same name this happens all the time is this how its suppose to be or is there way to fix it
Added (1). Thanks everyone for your answers but Jeroen was right, turned out by default the camera number sequence was off so i went into the menus and turned it on

2 very similar cameras Nikon D7000 & Nikon D90. Professionally which is better?

Thinking about getting one of these cameras, however they seem to be about the same as one another.or am i missing some key features that makes either one of them better? please help, which one is better, or either one is just as good?

Nikon D5100 Movie recording?

Hi i was wondering if you could help i have a d5100 nikon and when i film movies it doesnt forcus on the main object it goes blury and the backgrund is clear dont understand why.

Comparing these two Nikon macro lenses?

So… I'm in the market for a nikon macro lens. I am comparing these two but I want to get some insiders advice, or anything from anyone who knows cameras. I own a nikon d3000, i cant afford to upgrade the camera body and get a lens so I'm just doing the lens. I am comparing the Nikon 40mm f/2.8G AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR Lens, and the Nikon 60mm f/2.8G ED AF-S Micro-Nikkor Lens. I want to get as close as possible.My main subjects are insects and small flowers, etc. Thoughts?

I have $300-$400 to spend on a new camera and am going to Hawaii this summer. I love to film and love the versatility of the gopro, but at the same time I really enjoy taking pictures so that's what has me also considering the Nikon. Which would you get and why?

Nikon D800 using a zoom lens?

For those with experience, how much of the resolution of the D800 is actually usable if you're using a versatile zoom lens with 10x zoom? What I am trying to say is is the full resolution going to be detectable with a less-than crisp clear lens, or do I absolutely have to get a "prime lens" for it? How much quality is actually lost beyond recovery by using a versatile lens?

I am shopping to replace my broken Digital camera. What FEATURES should be my focus?

The Fuji-Digital camera I bought from a travelling-merchant, years ago has finally given out. - It no longer powers-up. :-( I used it to take a few Final pic's of my nephew's newly-arrived son a few days ago, so I do have some.jpeg's in it that I really want to take out.
I am shopping to replace this digital camera with one with even more and better features - for a reasonable price.
Beginning my browsing at Wally World, I find a few models of cameras to consider.

How to take high quality pictures?

Okay so I have a nice nikon camera so it's not a matter of having a good camera or not. I need help with learning to take better pictures. I'm in a photo shop/computer class and I work a lot with pictures so I would like to be able to my own pictures but I just suck at it :/

How do professionals take such good pictures? And also how do I get a good background for pictures? Do I need to take them against white paper or a white wall? I know this sounds stupid but I'd love it if you could give me some tips on how to take good pictures! Thanks!

What are the PQ differences in the two lenses… Are the aspherical qualities or weather resistance better? Is the Bokeh crazy better?
