What different sigma 70-200mm?

What different sigma 70-200 are there and what is the difference
Iam winging a new 70-200mm 2.8 for my nikon D90 and can not spend £1600 for a Nikon one so I like the sigma's
But what one I don't now !!!
Can any one plz tell me what difrent ones are there out there ??
On eBay there is sooooo meny and the prices go from £110 - £2000 what can worent that much difrents and do I need it ??

i want the camera for taking family photos which include kids, so it will need to e fast, also, i dont want it to have use of normal batteries that you buy in a regular store as the cameras seem to be very hard on them.i was told nikon was a good make.

Nikon D5100, shutter speed won't go below 1/200?

I use a nikon d5100, i never tried taking pictures in fast shutter speed, but now im trying to.and i realized the camera wont let me decrease beyond 1/200. And I thought the camera is capable of up to 3200 or some such. I tried in full manual mode too.
any help?

Hello i just took some photos off my nikon d90 camera so i can edit them and fix them up now i would like to know is it possible to get my fixed up/redone photos back to my nikon d90 camera? i know i can put them on USB's but atm my pc is not wanting to read my USB or even my ipod but my camera etc works fine when i take photos out to edit them so anyone know if i can do this?

Videos wont upload to my mac?

So i have a Nikon J1 and i am trying to upload my videos to my mac but everytime it comes into iphoto it say 'upload failed' why??? i really need these videos!!!

Can I use regular CPL filters as rear drop-in filters?

For those lenses that require to use a rear mount drop-in filter like the Nikon 300mm 2.8 or Canon 400mm 2.8L, can I use regular screw mount 52mm filters on them? Or are they specially made for drop-in only?

How big of a difference are cross type points on DSLR?

I'm considering the Nikon D5100 after not being able to afford the Canon T4i.
I read online some people complaining about the D5100's AF point and how it's "disgusting", and that it only has one cross-type focus point?

How much of a difference is having 1 vs 9 cross type focus points? Is it just that it's easier to use, or does it produce a better image?

In those images the 60D ones look really bad compared to the D5100, especially the color and contrast of the ocean. Are they accurate or was it just the person using it that messed up?
Added (2). Sorry I forgot ONE more thing!:
Can the human eye detect this difference in the screen resolution?
1, 040k dots vs 920k dots

The website I got that info from states that the 1, 040k dots resolution screen makes it easier to tell if the image is accurately focused.

Ok so i have the nikon d3100 and the kit 18-55mm lens but i am shooting a wedding in january im not calling my self a wedding photographer but i heard the minimal lens that you need is a

normal lens
zoom lens of some sort
and a 50mm

so i have the normal lens

Can i use a film SLR lense on a digital SLR?

My mom has an old Nikon film SLR and i wanted to buy a digital. I was considering getting a Nikon so could i just buy the body only and use the lenses on the film SLR?

SD memory card damaged?

I was recording videos, then when I went to upload them to my computer it my camera (Nikon D5100) showed a message that said I couldn't use the card because it was damaged. I know that I have to format the memory card now to get it working but neither my pc and mac detected the memory card.so how can I format it if the computer doesn't detect there is a memory card ?! Please help! The user's manual only says what I already know, not helpful lat all

What camera solution for filming snowboarding?

I have a Nikon d3200 but no waterproof case for it. Should I search around and buy a waterproof case, stabilizing rig (handle or other) and a good fisheye lens or would it be more in my interest (and cheaper?) to buy the new GoPro Hero 3 for filming snowboarding?
Added (1). By "filming" I mean taking video, it's just a term. Also, I'm limited to a 600-700 USD cost.

Possible battery leak inside Nikon F-501?

I recently was given my Grandad's old camera a Nikon F-501, and he was always one for looking after his things so there is no problem with anything on the camera, except because he has been sadly gone since 2001, I guess the camera has just sat since then.

I opened up the battery compartment and there were the old batteries still in there, around the end of one was a crust which I guess was where a battery had leaked and then been left to dry? My Nan wouldn't have at any point looked or opened the camera, I replaced the batteries after cleaning up the crust, but there is no life in the camera.

Would the battery leak probably have ruined the internals of the camera? I can't get any signal from it no matter what I try, I'm new to the photography world so I don't really know what to try, so any help would be appreciated.
