Nikon 50 mm 1.8: Nikkor (AF) or Series E?

I'm considering these 2. The Nikkor one is like 3 times more expensive than the Series E one.Is it worth the price?
Added (1). I have a Nikon D3100 and manual focus isn't a matter for me. I only care about the picture quality here. Thanks!

Ok so o try to take pictures but in the lcd section thing it says "Fee" what is this? And some tips on taking better pictures clear, pretty portraits? Thanks !

Nikon D5200 Price Drop?

So I have decided to get the new Nikon D5200. I know it just came out in the USA, but when do you think the price will drop, and is it worth the wait?

Why the point which I didn't focus on is sharper than the one I focused on?

I have Nikon D7000, when I focus on an object (using AF-S, Single point AF, Matrix Metering, 35mm),
I noticed after I review the picture that the point which is not in focus is sharper than the point (eye) that I focus intentionally.
I took a picture to a girl and I position focus point on her right eye but the result is the left eye is sharper! (I didn't use the point in the center of view finder)

Nikon D3200 new sd card?

I just bought the nikon d3200, i bough a hd 8gb sd card for it. I put the sd card in and it just says 'this card is not formatted, please format the sd card' so i go into my cameras menu and format the sd card. Then it says the same damn thing, i have checked and the card is not locked and i have tried several times.anyone know whats up?

Is there any benefit to purchasing this lens for my Nikon camera?

I have a Nikon D200. I have an AF 18-250 mm macro zoom lens…
I was thinking about purchasing a Nikon 85mm f/1.8D lens.
Would there be any benefit to this or would my pictures turn out the same as because 85mm is already within the 18-250 mm range?
My goal is to take beautiful portraits with blurred backgrounds.
I am obviously not professional. I am willing to spend as much money as possible though to get the best overall portrait results! So if you would recommend something else, let me know.

How often do entry-mid level DSLRs go on sale on Newegg.com?

So my SLR style Panasonic Point and shoot recently crapped out on me, but U had the replacement plan so i have $280 in a new egg gift card burning a hole in my pocket. Was thinking of upgrading to a DSLR, and don't mind paying a bit more to do it, obviously.but don't want to buy and miss out on a deal. I am mainly looking at the Canon T3i which is selling for 649.99, though most online retailers have it for 599 or lower. What are the odds that this model, or something comperable like the T2i, Nikon 3200 or 5100 get into the 400-550 range on newegg anytime soon? The main things I am looking at is a MP rating at least as high as my panasonic was (14.2), full HD video and solid performance in higher ISOs. Was also considering compact mirrorless, micro 4/3 cameras but it seems like the quality is simply not quite at DSLR level yet. Any advice on any of this from camera selection, potential price points or mirrorless compact vs. DSLR would be greatly appreciated.

Hello! I've read that the successor to the nikon d7000 will arrive before April. When it does arrive, how much time will it take before I see the d7000 drop in price in camera stores and amazon? Will it drop? Thanks!

How to take pictures at night? Nikon D5100?

This is going to be such a stupid question but I don't know how to. Like when I click the button to take a photo it doesn't do it because it's too dark, but obviously it's light enough outside because I can see things. I want to take pictures of some building which are lit up etc.

I'm new with this camera so sorry for this question, I have an 18-55mm Nikon lens and a 55-200mm VR lens,

I read that I need to manual focus it, but what else? Or is that all? I don't know lol. Any tips would be great!

Need help - Nikon SB910?

I bought a new Nikon SB910.when I try to take pictures with the Flash mounted the flash is emitting three lights when the shutter button is pressed.what setting should I follow to remove that two (alert or whatever) light before the actual flash light.

Best compact digital camera with multiple FPS?

I would like to find a compact digital camera that has excellent zoom and mega pixel quality but it should also take multiple frames per second. I normally like to buy Nikon or Canon cameras, but open to suggestions. Ideally under $300 and something able to buy through a normal retailer.

Can anyone tell me how to fix the lever on my Nikon 35mm film camera?

I'm taking a photography class. We are using 35mm cameras. I have a Nikon FM 35mm film camera. I loaded the film in the camera and I went to pull the lever on my camera and it won't go all the way. I'm not sure how to fix it. Can anyone please tell me how to fix it?
