Is there such a thing as a mount for Nikon D40?

I'm a complete newbie to photography. I bought a Nikon D40 (body only), and a separate lens.Do I need some kind of mount to attach the two? If so, what are they called?

Nikkor Micro 40mm for landscapes and everyday photos?

I wanted the D5100 kit lens for landscapes and the 40mm for macro. I just don't have enough money.So is it a good choice to skip the kit lens and use the 40mm for macro, landscapes, and even evryday stuff? And is the fact that the lens is prime a big disadvantage, or is cropping going to make up for that.

I have a Nikon D50 and a Nikkor 18-135 F4.5. Should I spend my hard earned cash on upgrading my Nikon Body or buy a nice Lens?

I have a smudge scratch on my Nikon 15x zoom, how can I get rid of it?

I somehow got this like smudge scratch on my camera lens, and it will not come off.It is effecting my photography, its a non remove-able lens, and I don't want to spend to much on a replace lens. Please help? Thank-you whoever does!

'Recording interrupted' when shooting videos on Nikon D5100? - 1

I have a PNY pro elite 16 GB card and it is a class 10. I tried formatting the card and it worked for about one shot and then the 'recording interrupted thing came up again. I don't know what to do, I have had this camera for almost a month and it has been working really well. What should I do!

Nikon SB 700 not working?

While the day got darker and darker, I pulled out my SB700 while I was shooting for a local fiesta in our province and I inserted it with my Nikon D90 and began to shoot with my first shot with the flash. The flash popped out but when I checked the picture, the flash didn't went through. The picture was a little dark.No flash or whatsoever.

Need help please?

Sigma 10-20mm 4-5.6 DC HSM AF for Nikon?

Okay so i have a nikon d5100 and i am wondering if the Sigma 10-20mm 4-5.6 DC HSM AF lens will auto focus on my camera, its very confusing because i know the sigma has a hyper sonic motor, but it says af not af-s, i thought it had to be af-s to have its own motor and to work on my camera? does anyone have any info on this?

How to take a sunrise time lapse?

I have a intervalometer with me and i have a Nikon d3100. I been reading a lot but i want someone specifically telling me how to do it.what do i put the white balance on? iso? what setting should i be on? i plan on taking this time lapse before the sun rise and want it to make it smooth. How can i avoid flickering also? please help.

How to turn off flash when im in the macro mode? In other modes as well… turning on flash just ruins some pic… and dont tell me to use other modes.Is there anyway we can turn off flash in other modes? hw bout 550D and Nikon DSLR's as well?
