How does the crop sensor factor in with the lens?

I have a Nikon 35mm lens that I want too use to take portrait shots with. I had read that you are not supposed to use a lens that is less than 50mm because it will distort the face. But since I have a 1.5 crop sensor that makes the lens 75mm; would that get rid of the distortion so I can use the lens with no problem?

'Recording interrupted' when shooting videos on Nikon D5100?

I have had my camera for 2 months shooting photos and videos on a 32GB Class 4 SanDisk SD Card. The video recording has been working fine for the past two months but now I keep getting recording interrupted error message come up about 9 seconds into recording. I have space on my card for 3000 pictures so I still have plenty of space. Can anyone tell me why its giving me this error now?

Nikon camera (d5100) blurry photos on automatic setting?

I've had the d5000 for a few years and just bought the d5100 on a black Friday sale. I ordered a lens filter thing right after I got it, and it arrived like a week later. The first week, the camera took great pictures. As soon as I put the filter on, the pictures were all blurry on automatic setting. So I took the filter off and they are still blurry. I'm sure I didn't touch or scratch the lens while putting the filter on. I even cleaned my lens, and it's still blurry. It's the lens it comes with- the Nikkor 18-55.It's not the best lens out there, but it should still work, especially on automatic settings. Ideas on how I can fix this??? Trying to take Christmas card photos of the kids and everything is garbage!

Affordable cameras with BOTH flip screen and video auto focus?

Could anyone suggest cameras (with brands and models) that fit into the description
above? NO camcorders and preferably a non dslr and one that's affordable. I'd take any brands from canon to olympos to Samsung. Not such a fan of nikon's cameras. Thanks in advance! :)

Nikkor prime lens reccomendations for video (low budget)?

Can be old or new, but I'm looking for low cost lenses, so under $400 is preferable.

I currently have the 35mm 1.8g. Oh, and this is for use on a DX camera.

Is this lense compatible with the Nikon D5100?

Here is the ebay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200813308697#ht_4069wt_1007

I'm a new member of the DSLR family and I'd like to get into photography. My camera currently has the 18-55mm VR Lens. And I'd be mad to purchase this lense online and have it not fit.So thanks in advance! And any other helpful tips in different lenses/using them would be great too :)

Which of these digital cameras would be better?

What is the difference between these two camera lenses?

I am just beginning to learn all about my Nikon d5000, so excuse me if this question is dumb.
I am looking into a cheaper fisheye to take travelling, as I am just starting out and don't want to spend the money on the nikon 10.5mm. I am looking on amazon for the rockinon f/3.5 8mm fisheye here:

Rokinon 8mm Ultra Wide F/3.5 Fisheye Lens with Auto Aperture and Auto Exposure Chip for Nikon AE8M-N
http://www.amazon.com/Rokinon-Fisheye-Aperture-Exposure-AE8M-N/dp/B006O7158O/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1354687698&sr=1-5&keywords=Rokinon+FE8M-n+8mm+F3.5+Fisheye

but then noticed there was this lens:

Rokinon FE8M-N 8mm F3.5 Fisheye Lens for Nikon (Black)
http://www.amazon.com/Rokinon-Fisheye-Aperture-Exposure-AE8M-N/dp/B006O7158O/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1354687698&sr=1-5&keywords=Rokinon+FE8M-n+8mm+F3.5+Fisheye

so clearly the difference is one has an auto exposure and auto aperture chip, but im not really too sure what that means and if it even applies to my lower end nikon? I know this lens would be manual on my camera which is fine, but would this AE lens make a difference? I am confused! Thanks so much

Camera accessories every beginner photographer should have?

Hello!
I'm 13 and I just bought myself my very first professional camera. It's the Nikon D300.My fathers friend discounted this camera for me, as he bought a new one. Now, I've picked out a case. What else should i have? A cloth to wipe the lens, maybe? I have the charger, USB cord and lens cap, of course. I know there are filters you put on the lens to, for example, to lessen UV light. I want a couple of those.Do you have any suggestions? I don't want a new lens. The one I have is fine for now.
Thanks :)

Night photoshoot help?

I am wanting to do a photoshoot in the dark of a dancer in her tutu next to a lampost wrapped somehow in Christmas lights- maybe incorporate them into the tutu.My shoot is inspired by balletzaida and if you go to
Ballet Zaida: Asteria - ZaidaPhotography's Photos you can see my vision. I don't necessarily want the surroundings exposed, mainly the dancer and the lights. How would I expose for that, and get the lights and the dancer to turn out sharp? I'm assuming I would use a tripod. I'm 16, an amateur photographer and I own a Nikon d3100 with the kit lens as well as a 50-200 mm zoom lens. Any help would be appreciated.

Canon 1100D, Nikon D3100, Pentax K-r?

Which of the three would be the best? Going to film some stuff, make pictures, normal stuff. Also, what lens would you recommend? I'm thinking 18-135mm would be nice.

Canon - I like the looks, but the grip is plastic…
Nikon - I read that lenses and stuff are expensive and only Nikon lens supported.
Pentax - A camera shop told me that it's ahead of other cameras. But I'm not so into the looks.

Also, does it matter if Canon only has 6400 ISO? As I read that 12800+ is useless. I can't decide.
