How to shoot tethered with Nikon D3100 and Macbook Pro?

Hi I just recently purchased a USB connector for my Nikon D3100.

I have a backdrop and lighting in transit.

I would like to figure out how to shoot tether with my Nikon before the studio comes.

I have done research on the internet and could not find anything conclusive.

I am operating OS X on my Macbook Pro.

What applications can I use to tether for remote as well as review.

I have the Adobe Master Collection CS6.

Why is DigitalRev biased towards Canon?

Just a tongue-in-cheek question really!

I've noticed that on DigitalRev's homepage, all three featured cameras are constantly Canons (the 5D MkIII, 650D and 600D at the time of writing this). Plus, all five cameras in the "5 best-selling cameras" feature box are Canons, 4/5 of the "most wished for" lenses are Canons and all five cameras recommended to me are… you guessed it: Canons! I bought A Nikon 7000 body and two Nikkor lenses, so the last one really doesn't make any sense at all!

I'm not losing any sleep over this, but it does amuse me slightly.My only guess would be that they're sponsored?
Added (1). By the way, this wasn't a "I thought Nikon were better than Canon" question. A lot of people here are saying that both brands are as good as each other and it's down to personal opinion. I get that. The question was just to ponder why the site seems biased towards a particular brand, that's all :)

Nikon professional camera or polaroid z2300/z340?

I need a camera cause mine is broken. I need good quality photos, a good battery and it needs to be practical as I will need this for many trips. I like the polaroids idea of printing but I'm scared to get one and the quality of photos would be bad. I have heard that nikon is a really good camera. If nikon, please tell me which model. There is also a price difference so please help!

Lightroom 3.6 tethering issue?

I have Lightroom 3.6 64-bit on my Windows 7 laptop. I tried tethering my Nikon D3 but Lightroom can't recognize it. However my computer will recognize my Nikon D3 when connected via USB for file transferring.Am I doing something wrong? It worked just fine with my Nikon D300 or D90.

What lens did I use three years ago?

I'm looking at a photo I shot 3 years ago. When I go to View EXiF 2 sets of numbers come up.
500/10 and also 18/10.It shows focal length at 50mm. I do have a Nikon 18-200mm; and also 18-105mm.

Is there any possible way to plug in headphones on this camera? I use it for photography but also for videos and I need to be able to hear what I am recording with my headphones?? Hopefully something that is not too expensive. Please help!
