Having problems with camera/SD card? Nikon d3100?

I have a nikon d3100.
I have a 16 gb.SD card in it! I've been filming and taking pictures with it for a while now and it never gave me a problem.
But today, for some reason it stopped taking videos.
It said card full, so I cleared the WHOLE card on my computer.

I inserted the empty SD card and it still said "card full."

So I JUST went to CVS and bought a new SD card (8 gb.)
and I inserted it in my camera.
Now it's saying "card is damaged and cannot be used."
It's brand new.

What the heck is going on? I'm on vacation and I need my camera :(

My Nikon D3100 isn't recording?

I'm on a vacation right now and I'm doing a short film.
I've been recording all day!
But for some reason when I click the record button, it just stays on camera mode!
There's nothing wrong with the button!

I even cleared my SC card in case it was a memory issue.
And my camera is charged.

Any suggestions?
Added (1). I meant SD card, not SC. Haha sorry!

Dlsr low filter bypass replacement, whats it involve?

I bought a used nikon d50 very cheap ( i know ) its been great but i took a shot of a light coloured subject f22 and upon upload to computer i notice lines running through the image.
i took a few white sheet photo tests and you can clearly see these lines at apetures f22, being a newbie dslr person i did not think to test to this level and the screens are not the best on these anyway .

Is the Nikon D5200 Camera good for my first DSLR Camera?

I have never owned a DSLR camera and was just looking for the best quality bang for the buck camera. I had considered the new D7100, but read some flaws with oil getting on the sensor. Not to mention I figure I would be paying for a bunch of buttons and features I would not know how to use for a long long time. The Nikon D5200 at Costco is 1050.00 for the entire kit with 2 lenses.

What do you think? I know this is a loaded questions and don't want to start a war between all of you Canon/Nikon rivals. haha

HDR on Nikon D3200, exposure problems?

Every time I alter the aperture on aperture priority, the shutter speed adjusts itself automatically but I don't want that, because I want to take some under exposed and some over exposed, but it adjusts itself so that the photo just comes out the same? If that makes sense :)

How much will a decent hunting rifle scope cost?

Im getting a rifle hopefully today, but I don't know much about scopes. How much will a fairly decent scope cost? Any specific brand? I was thinking Nikon. Any additional info would be great, thanks

Where should I store my Nikon FE if it.?

… has Ilford Delta 100 35mm film in it that has not been used. I had ordered the film and kept it in fridge 2 nights. Put it in cam and took a few macro shots. Will the remaining unexposed shots be ok inside the cam for when i go to san diego in 2 days? Where should I keep the cam? I am new to the film world as you can see :)

Lens suggestion for nikon 5100?

Hi I am planning to buy an SLR, nikon 5100.My usage would be photos of family, kids, nature/landscapre (ocasionally during travel). I am confused as to which lens to choose apart from the kit 18-55mm lens.
Suggest which other lens would be good to have for this usage.
